Reviews of Stansted Park Garden Centre
C. B.
Really great garden centre and complex. Beautifully set out, loads of interesting products to look at and quality well cared for plants. Choice of two places to eat that are both great as well as a deli/butchers with fabulous local food. During the summer months they also sell the most delicious home made ice cream have a lovely garden walk, a maze and even a little train. All in all a great trio out and one of my 'go to' places
J. T.
Lovely garden centre, very well presented and the Prices seemed reasonable. However sadly when going to the checkouts. The cashier was very rude. I went to try purchase a poppy and she quickly passed my items and put them in my hand and called the next person over. Before I could even pick and choose the next customer was right next to me so I decided to leave, talk about personal space. Maybe you should remind your employees to show a little bit of respect.
R. O.
Really good selection of plants and other garden stuff. Lady in plant section helped me select plants for my wife's birthday. Cafe had a nice selection of food and the coffee was excellent. Staff in cafe and on the till were engaging and good fun. A very pleasant experience and I'll be sure to return.

A great visit this afternoon searching out ideas for Christmas.
Inside all was very well presented with everything from seeds to doormats.
Outside a great selection of seasonal plants and a wide range of drag Christmas trees cut and potted.
Back inside and a good selection of gift foods, cards and wrapping.
On into the Christmas area and a really well laid out range of decorations from the standard to the quirky. Good lights too.
Outside we ventured into the farm shop. A large barn housed a selection of vegetables, eggs, meats and cheeses as well as lots of preserves and bread mixes. Not too busy and pleasant staff, an interesting place to visit for garden and Christmas ideas.
B. G.
A decent array of household plants, sculptures and outdoor plants etc. The quality of the cafe was good but the prices were very high. Finally the cashier lady named Jill was very rude to us as she told us to "hurry up" because there was a que. We had lots of plants to buy but there wasn't any need to be rude.
R. T.
Great place stuffed full of many different items not seen locally elsewhere. Helpful staff and very nice spacious café, very clean and welcoming. Overall a very enjoyable time and we look forward to our next visit.
F. B.
Good selection of plants, best display of bonsai, mirrors at the back very effective, love the Acer trees with Buddha statues of all sizes. Plants look healthy and watered.

Wow, what a transformation the garden centre has been through since I was last there! What used to be a small cafe is now a huge area inside and out, with a small kids play area too. Well done on the updates guys, definitely won't be leaving it so long til my next visit.
M.
Hadn't been here for a long time as had moved up north. Everything has changed for the better, improved and more parking facilities. There is now also a cafe inside the garden centre if you can't get a seat in the Tea Pavillion.
G. M.
Large garden centre with a good selection of plants and other need to buy goods, like 2 jars of pickles. Good selection of Christmas goods and it's only 1st week of October.
R. W.
I love this wonderful place, the cafe is great, the staff friendly and helpful and the choice of wares is abundant. Don't forget the farm shop either. Thumbs up.
S. W.
Lovely garden centre. Wheel chair friendly. Excellent restaurant and farm shop. Good selection of indoor and outdoor plants and accessories
M. S.
A wide variety of Christmas items at very reasonable prices plus a lovely cafe wide range of food also at reasonable price. There is also a restaurant there .which serves delicious food I would recommend a visit to Stanstead Park Gardens.
M. A.
Good was excellent as always, service was a bit slow, as always...
A great choice of food too but not cheap.
Lots of treasures to be had in the shop too.
B. A.
Dogs allowed. We were visiting Hayling Island.
Nice garden centre.
They've got everything you might need for the garden at usual garden centre prices.
I bought a red top from Klauss for Christmas.
Would go again when visiting Hayling Island.
D. C.
I really enjoyed visiting today. We went in the train for our little one (watch out! Train rides are cash only, and I had to travel 7 miles to the nearest cash point!)
The train ride was great fun, and we had a lovely tuna mayonnaise jacket potato with a cream tea in the garden centre. Also had a cream tea. Good quality cream and jam, though I have had better scones for the money. The surroundings are child and dog friendly, well thought out and pleasant to be in.
The garden centre itself is big, with a wide variety of interesting items which are decent quality. The variety of plants is excellent, and the centre provides endless inspiration for home gardens.
A little out of the way, but worth the trip.
D. O.
Visited the Cafe during a weekly cycle ride. Nice friendly service. Good food selection. Most enjoyable.
C. P.
Nice grounds, quite expensive but a great choice of plants and pots and knowledgeable staff on hand to answer any queries. Really nice café aswell, clean toilets
s. j.
Good, and a beautiful selection of products all year round.
Accessible, in all ways.
Restaurant pricey.
A. G.
What a wonderful place. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable of all the plants, great prices. Lovely farm shop. Great Cafe, noticed there’s also a Pavilion Cafe so we are going back again this week.
Highly recommended to anyone.
N. H.
I visited the beautiful garden with the children. I love the farm shop, and their food is excellent. I bought some local products and all good. The garden centre is fantastic, and the pavilion tea room in the walled garden is superb, the house and mini train are not open yet due to the covid, but it is still a nice place to visit.
T. (.
Had a really nice visit to the Gardeners kitchen. The staff are all lovely, the food is brilliant, we were told they have new chefs. The cherry scone is a favourite off ours and one off the reasons we visit
B. H. (.
I love visiting here, especially for lunch or afternoon tea.
The shop is always well kept, and the staff helpful. Great range of unusual gift items, and lots of different inshore shops.
A. H.
Very nice garden centre with a great deal of different shrubs, flowers, and all things garden. It also has a great clothes and shoes outlet as well as food shop etc. Well worth a visit
E. P.
Lovely garden centre and breakfast was great although not very clear with breakfast prices as it doesn't include toast and you have to pay extra for it so becomes quite expensive compared to other places that do include toast
b. h.
Excellent place very friendly and helpful staff would recommend a visit kept the children busy in the maze while we walked around the grounds beautiful setting with wonderful views helped with sunshine very enjoyable day
Fresh orange juice amazing very good quality meat products good price and the children were happy
K. S.
What an experience we had with our granddaughter, she loved the maze and the mini train ride, staff were friendly and the team at the railway were fantastic had a great sense of humour and were very professional
T. J. L.
Good garden centre. A nice selection of ornaments, real gardening products, seeds, plants etc.plus bird and animal feeds, pet food, gifts etc. Great cafe facilities, used bookshop, etc etc
L. C.
Great selection of shops and a lovely secret restaurant tucked away for a cheeky breakfast or lunchtime treat
F. B.
Good staff but wanted to visit house and church to be told they are a different company now, could not find where to park to do this so gave up
S. P.
My Mum & I went to Stansted Garden Centre today. They have a good selection of items to buy which are good quality as well. We had lunch-roast beef and all of the trimmings. The beef was very tasty & sliced thickly, the cauliflower cheese was particulary good. The food was all good. The only criticism is that the food wasn't very hot but we appreciate it is difficult to keep it hot when the restaurant is so busy. The staff offered to help me to our table with the food as one tray was too heavy for me. All of the staff were friendly and helpful despite being very busy.
T. W.
We often eat here in the restaurant. It’s great food and love walking around the garden centre
D. T.
It was my first visit but it won't be my last , so much to see and do and the food was good to
A. T.
Apart from having no WiFi. It a wonderful place to shop with a lovely park to walk around in! I enjoy coming here every time!
D. J.
Great garden centre, excellent food store on site
T. C.
Excellent menu and food, with excellent facilities Let down for several diners and my party struggling for very poor waitress service which was a shame. Little training -more heads up and notice of diners perhaps
s.
Everyone I visit the places I think why don't I come here more often. The gardecentre has recently been taken over and is now under new management. Improvement are already noticeable. What I really love about the place is walking round the arbotorium at the back and seeing all the different plants and trees. Some of them are huge. The teas rooms is great and reasonably price. They have activities for children in school holidays and there's a mini train line. I attached a photo of my naughty dog walking up it... Don't worry no trains were running on this day
S. R.
Fantastic garden centre and farm shop. Dog friendly!
l. s.
Great tea rooms, plant nursery and walks
T. B.
Fabulous. The place to visit. Has almost everything you could want. Especially for Xmas.
G. B.
I would thoroughly recommend the Stansted Park Garden tea rooms. It has a very cosy setting within the walled gardens of Stansted Park. I would really recommend afternoon tea. It comes complete with traditional 3 tier cake stand. Have to give this 5 stars.
S. A.

A brilliant dog-friendly garden centre with lots of parking. Great range of plants etc. The Pavers shoe outlet is excellent with very helpful staff. Finished off the visit with a dog walk through the woods. I will be back!
S. V.
Huge selection of plants and all the gardening tools you could want. Really good farm shop on site too.
T. A. h.
Lovely tea shop, farm shop and clothing and shoe shop.
S. D.
This is a nice place for lunch and then browse the garden shop. They have a wide range of products including Sketchers.

Quite nice and clean, good value for money in the cafe.
S. R.
Great sandwiches and fruit scones in the Pavilion and exceptional service. Extremely well run and not a dirty table in sight.Quick efficient service and the staff appeared to be happy in their work. Really enjoyed the experience thank you Stansted 😊
J. D.
Great place to buy plants, have a cream tea tea and walk the dog....not necessarily in that order!
s. a.
Lovely garden centre, good parking and nice cafe
V. K.
Fantastic place to visit , Farm shop full of delicious food and gifts , garden centre has a great display of Christmas gifts and garden items . Lovely cafe. Restaurant is amazing , separate tea rooms , cream teas served, Fantastic dishes served in the conservatory, great selection and great portions,
A. G.
My first visit and I loved it, went in the garden centre only. A wide variety of gifts, also clothing, shoes and plants. Had lunch after choosing from a wide variety of options and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Excellent system for letting visitors know if the tables had been cleaned too. A fabulous first visit and I highly recommend going there. I look forward to another visit there very soon.
B. T.
Lovely garden centre. But could not afford to eat in cafe so expensive! Over £8 for a toasted panini!
P. L.
Called in for coffee and scones in the tea room, good scones and very good coffee - served by very efficient and pleasant staff. Went over to garden centre - very impressed - not enough time to do it justice so needs a longer visit - could become a regular 'haunt'.
a. f.
We had a nice pot of tea in the garden centre and a enjoyably walk round. Although some of the grounds are closed off I expect because of storm damage. Great shop for looking around good place to visit.
E. P.
Very pleasant place to visit lots of lovely plants and a great place to visit and eat.
S. G.
Lovely food and such pleasant staff .....thanks so much we will be back again ....
S. H.
Good selection of various local meats in the butchery section. The plant centre is good too with multi buy deals available on a variety of plants. Well laid out too, easy to find things.
M. H.
Very dog friendly ... lots of water bowls ... no dog waste bins though
L. W.
Lovely little trip to Stansted Park Gardens and maze. The maze was really quite challenging which was good and had a well deserved ice cream after which was delicious.
M. M.
A lovey group of elderly people out for tea at Stansted Park Garden Centre, very warm welcome from the staff, very accomodating to every one's needs, we had high tea and everyone enjoyed themselves, plenty to look at around the shop, we are definitely going back.
L. B.
Very well set out. Good cafe plenty of choice.
L. A.
First time visit. Great range of plants and shrubs. Lovely quality and well run. Fantastic place to visit as lots of added interests for all the family. Highly recommend.
On my second visit today it was just as positive. The staff are really pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful.
R. A.
Really like the garden centre. The little train that runs is super as well and the farm shop is lovely. The Pavilion cafe is great (although 9/10 times there's no outdoor seating). The Pavilion seating indoors needs a little 'something' - the atmosphere is quite drab. Sadly the worst part is the garden centre cafe indoors. It took nearly 30 mins for our lunch to be brought over, and it's already behind a heated counter. Why not just serve up there? It's just a bit chaotic in there and it wasn't even busy. Overall great place to wile away an hour but I wouldn't plan to eat there, just in case.
S.
Really love this garden centre. We had our puppy with us today and it's so lovely being able to take her along. She even got a treat from the lovely lady on the till. Such a good selection of plants and gifts as well as everything else a garden centre offers. Oh mustn't forget the pet products too. Just brilliant.
R. G.
The centre was interesting with a wide range of goods for sale but the whole experience of house, grounds, cafe etc was superb. Booked a birthday tea there during our visit. Excellent!!
J. T.
Forgot the cheese on my cheese and beans jacket potato. Potato did not taste very nice, beans were very sweet
S. K.
Excellent visit, nice food, great plants, friendly staff, dog friendly and sometimes a train ride to have. Nice dog walking around the estate before dropping into the various eat places. A joy
D. b.
Great garden centre. Great cafe and great staff. Really good delivery. would recommend.
L. G.
Always love looking around ,always end up buying something combined with lunch it's a lovely day out
j. w.
Good food a bit expensive but its a nice plzce for special meetings. Our meeting was a group of school friends from Broomfield School.
D. P.
Great place to visit anytime of the year . Lots to see and do . Main centre is the shop are ranging from cakes , bottled beer .... and so much more . The cafe there is very nice and the food is very nice too . Plenty of seating areas .There is a Pavillion for dinning also , not tried it yet . Small Farm Shop , basic being honest . A small railway ride is avaliable but not seen it run on my visits to Stanstead Park garden centre . Best thing to add is the surrounding area to this place . Long walks and a pub or ????? , in Rolands Castle Village .
P. M.
Good selection of plants and house wear. Covid safety well-organised. Cafe excellent food and drinks.good visit.
M. C.
The best cream tea ever! Delicious soft baked fruit scone with the cutest round pack of butter, choice of raspberry or strawberry jam, and a tub of clotted cream. Included is a pot of tea and all for the very reasonable price of £6.25. Lovely location at The Pavillion Restaurant Stansted House, you can sit in or plenty of tables in the garden.
g. c.
always a pleasure to visit this restaurant , food always fresh tasting , nice varied menu without going over the top .
The Soups are delightful , the Cauliflower and Broccoli one no exception
Miss our Smoked Salmon and Crayfish sandwiches though but i guess its down to cost as both items expensive to buy in .
Thanks again another enjoyable visit.
L. C.
Great place to shop for plants food and other presents
L. B.
I love going here, the garden centre is brilliant although your wallet feels a little lighter when you leave. The tearoom food is brilliant and taste amazing. The farm shop here sell lots scrumptious cake and biscuits.
G. A.
Had a sausage roll and some chips for lunch in the cafe. The sausage roll was bland and stodgy, like it had lots of bread like filler and not much meat. The chips tasted like Oven chips. Perhaps I just chose the wrong things? May try again but will probably try a sandwich.
M. T.
Our favourite local garden centre and eating place. Surprising value for money plants. Shop and Resturant prices cocommitant with it's upmarket appeal. Always busy and very easy to see why.
K. B.
The pavilion cafe/restaurant serves the best lemon meringue in the world....garden centre is excellent, the grounds are beautiful. Well worth a visit to shop, eat or walk...
N. G.
A bit disappointed with the restaurant it was not busy quite a few tables were left I know customers are supposed to clear their stuff off the tables but when a member of staff did clear the table they did not disinfect or wipe the tables off !!!!
E. B.
First impressions were friendly staff and a glowing atmosphere. Plenty of space to sit so we could be distanced from others. Lots of menu choice, quality local ingredients used. I'd recommend the salmon and crayfish salad or the rarebit!
A. W.
Lots of beautiful items to chose from. Wide range of gifts too and even hot tubs. Large and spacious with an indoor cafe. A little pricey in my opinion but you can sometimes pick up a bargain in the sale.
V. C.
I had a bus trip out with friends. A lovely lunch and then treated myself and my husband to a beautiful David Austin rose called Darcy Bussell, glorious pink. The food was amazing anf the staff very friendly. A good few hours out, with beautiful weather, what more could you ask for!
P. W.
Food was lovely. Fresh and nicely presented. As they are not taking bookings ... why o why? There is no law against it or do they just think because the ambience et al is lovely we will just accept it? Oh but what a performance to get in.( Bearing in mind we are 3 less than fit older ladies) you arrive , and it was just after midday, and told there is a wait time of 25 mins. OK. Not easy to find a seat which we need for this length of time . Some very kind people gave up their seats to us and we were very grateful. The wait didn't really matter from then on. When our turn came we were given a lovely table but one of us then had to note our table number and go back to a makeshift bar outside and QUEUE AGAIN to place our order. OK this done we awaited the food. As I said there were 3 of us but only 2 orders arrived. This was, after a while, rectified but by no means a hassle free experience. Why oh why won't they take bookings again? Will think twice about repeating this experience. Will say the young girls there were as helpful but they and the management do not appreciate that a vast number of their clientele are retired and may not find this popping back and forth tempts them to a repeat visit.
m. h.
It has been a few years since I visited this garden centre and what a transformation !!! The fresh, clean and airy garden shop was a joy to behold....tidy, well-stocked and organised and what a pleasure to wander round with plenty of space and items, both garden and non-garden, to browse through.
The outdoor plant area was just the same...well-stocked with fabulous looking plants I hope I can do justice to those I purchased !
The staff were all visible, knowledgeable and friendly.
I will be back and I thoroughly recommend anyone to pay them a visit.
WELL DONE to all at Stansted Park Garden Centre !!
N. H.
Very good a lovely place to go had wot I was looking for . no where else had .lovely day out
J. H.
Good range of plants. Well cared for. Bit pricey but all garden centres seem to be these days.
Worth a visit. Good on site cafe with decent food.
J. C.
We had a lovely cooked breakfast today and it was half price under the eat to help out scheme.
This was our fifth visit over the past few weeks on different days and the food has always been cooked and presented very well indeed. The staff are friendly and polite and as no booking is required, I will make this my favourite ‘go to’ local place to eat breakfast or lunch or for coffee and cake with friends
Thank you to the hard working staff especially in the recent heat wave.
H. W.
Visited the garden show, great atmosphere, lovely englich summer day out
D. N.
Beautiful garden centre and garden to walk in and admire the natural beauty! Very well priced plants and other beautiful items in the garden centre as well! Well worth a visit and I will definitely be a returning customer. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff also.
N. T.
Enjoy the grounds walks, the garden centre and the cafe with attentive staff and beautiful scenery
G. M.
Excellent choice of items for all you're gardening needs 👍
K. C.
Local Garden Centre located in the Hampshire area not to far from civilisation. Lots on offer with good pricing. Other services on site such as butchers, farm shop, kids railway, tea room and park means there's something for everyone. Lots of parking too.
H. R.
I love visiting here. It's my favourite local garden centre. It is not huge in comparison to others nearby but that doesn't mean there is a lack in variety. There is lots of choice. It is reasonably priced and has knowledgeable staff who are friendly and approachable. Recently refurbished too. The Cafe/restaurant has a lovely choice for breakfast/lunch or just coffee and cake! I enjoy spending time here and find lots of inspiration for my garden and home.
M. C.
It is a very lovely place to go and have some some thing to eat the there plants are very reasonable. And you've now got pavers in there yeah a clothes shop called kiss
M. S.
Love going here as lots to see and enjoy cafe for coffee and piece of cake
J. W.
A lovely place to visit especially with the sun shining.Had lunch, again was lovely, great service. The biggest disappointment was I took my grandchildren so they could have a play in the park area..only it's gone. They had to make do with running around on the grass area.Wouldn't have gone there had we known!!
G. H.
Visited for an quick lunch. Food was great. Then had a quick look round the garden centre.
P. K.
Lovely staff and great food
E. M.
Lovely trees
A. M.
It was very nice with lots to see for the garden and home. There is also a Victorian green house where you can also have something to eat and drink. We had a very enjoyable few hours.
R. C.
Wide range of both indoor and outdoor plants which all looked well kept and healthy. Large indoor area with cafe, books, animal foods, gifts, etc. Large car park which can also be used for farm shop/deli, miniature railway, play area and another cafe.
T. R.
Excellent garden centre with lots of extra amenities such as sketcher, hot tub, restaurants outlets. Lovely gardens and farm shop on site to enjoy too.
N. R.
A great place to visit something for everyone. Garden Centre shop has some unusual, & different gift ideas. Tea room is very good. Friendly staff
D. R.
Nice place, nice shoe shop and garden centre. Easy and free parking. Lovely walks round about. Good for kids, country house and gardens....but didn't visit. Little railway
J. R.
All ways nice there had breakfast and brought some plants
S. S.
We took our disabled friend there for lunch, not realising how it had changed! Went in the restaurant for lunch which was lovely! Enjoyed looking around afterwards and bought some plants, which were very reasonable. However, what isn't good is the complete lack of signage to show the new way into the car park (so we went wrong!) + no visible signs of disabled parking! ☹
P. H.
So much to see in the garden centre, an excellent variety of plants, Christmas shop was outstanding, Only had a cuppuchino in the Cafeteria, but the food looked very good,
S. W.
Sat outside at lunchtime with friends and we all had Welsh rabbit, really good. Excellent service it just gets better and better up there .Looked around the garden centre afterwards. There are amazing changes going on with a new company that have taken it over. All the plants look very healthy and very good value.
K. p.
Lovely, well laid out. Not tooo pricey. Café food good, I had a hot meal excellent. I also bought lovely streaky bacon, cookies with dark chocolate on one side and fresh brie cheese. All were excellent products full of flavour. Paid a little more than at the supermarket, but worth it.
B. W.
Last visited just before Christmas when refurbishment was beginning. Today, really impressed with results. Indoor restaurant completely refurbished with indoor and outdoor seating areas and a much extended menu. Interesting variety of franchises within store, including Pavers shoes, a very welcome addition. Alongside all the existing attractions at Stansted, the house, the gardens, the arboretum and the forest, the recent improvements make for a great visit.
L. G.
The staff are friendly, the cakes are delicious. Great place to take your dog. Only downside is the play park for children is no longer accessible. We recommend Stansted Park.
J. B.
Really enjoyed looking around. Has a large shoe section now. Everything is well laid out since the renovation. Lovely gift ideas and indoor/outdoor plants are a good selection.
b. j.
Lunch in the cafe was excellent however the selection of plants was poor, very average, and the shopping centre was expensive. Great toasted panini lunch with salad and crisps. Excellent tea. Loads of flies buzzing the tables though so maybe need a fly zapping machine or two.
j. r.
Even though we are in Lockdown, it is nice to just get out and have a wander round a garden centre. Stanstead is lovely nice plants in good condition, helpful staff. So much to look at there. Then a tasty bap of a Portobello mushroom and fried egg at the Pavilion Tea Rooms , and Coffee.
C. L.
Lovely place great produce lots to see
S. B.
Nice garden centre for looking around. Nice selection and wide range of products. I found items are very pricey.
M. W.
Excellent food and helpful staff
C. B.
Worth a visit good day out nice atmosphere
V. P.
This revamped garden centre is situated on the Standard Park Stately Home estate. Having had a new carparking layout there is ample room to park with disabled bays right at the front near to the entrance. The internal structure has also been given a makeover recently and proves to be a very pleasant environment to shop in whether you are there for plants, clothes, books or gardening equipment. There is also a farm shop on site and a miniature railway to amuse the tiny tots. Every now and then they have a big sale with plenty of bargains in the plant department. I always make a beeline to this garden centre when this happens..and it is also great for ideas when Christmas shopping. There is also a very pleasant cafe on site to give your a break from all the shopping. To finish off you can also check out the stately home and it's grounds. A very nice place to while away an afternoon. Well worth a visit.
B. T.
Good selection of plants, prices reasonable. Also good supply of everything to do with gardening, furniture, clothes, lighting, compost, pots etc. Have a choice of 2 restaurants which are very popular. Nice place to spend 2/3 hours or longer if you wish to walk round the grounds. Beautiful location.
L. M.
Lovely sunny day out choosing some plants. Lunch was good and fresh. Covid rules adhered to by most people made it a really pleasurable experience
K. F.
Great stock of very well cared for plants, good prices and very helpful knowledgeable staff. This was my last stop in a long list of garden centre's looking for specific plants and although I did find some of them elsewhere they all looked rather bedraggled, found all I wanted here and beautifully maintained too, had I known about this place before, it would have been my first stop.
C. S.
We had a lovely first time visit. Truthfully not our first choice, that was Keydells. But the carpark was extremely busy so drove straight out. We've seen signs for Stansted so decided to give it a visit. Not disappointed, great choice & prices. Great layout, elf & safety ie covid prepared.
G. G.
Fantastic cafeteria inside the garden centre and the new garden centre is sublime with all its goodies and gifts and healthy plants. Food was delicious and the stars so pleasant. Brilliant place to spend a day or afternoon.....be prepared to spend a bit.....its all so tempting:)
P. S.
A very good experience even with improvements ongoing.Cafe was very good,a very tasty Welsh Rarebit at a very reasonable price.
Time to visit before Christmas,be careful if you want scones ,they were not very good, seems they could not be bothered to get fresh ones out even though I had told them they were rock hard,to be fair that was the only disappointment, every thing else was excellent and the staff were very good and friendly.
C. P.
We think it's a lot better than it used to be. We live Fareham, I used to work in Waterlooville and we would go into a small cafe there. The owners moved to Stansted Park garden centre, opened a cafe. It seems it did not workout. We had a nice tea and biscuits in new cafe / restaurant. Food looks nice. Will come again.

Very nice staff offering advice and help. Nice to see a resident cat. Would be nice to have some cardboard trays or similar available at the tills so you can carry your purchases to the car.
D. I.
It's a large country estate very relaxing and laid back garden centre is like mini shopping experience wonderful restaurant when allowed to open shoe shop book shop outside icecream hut plus a separate farm shop the actual plant sales area is not that big but nicely stocked it's a chill zone it's a feel good place
S. F.
Love this garden centre. Not a large centre, but still have a good and different selection of plants and home and garden products. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help.
K. L.
Nice place to visit. Nice shopping area. Some things are overpriced but the Pavers shoe area is good. Has plenty of gifts to look at and a plant nursery. There are loads of other things in the grounds too.
S. H.
Stansted garden centre has been improved beyond expectations. It is very well laid out and has a quite well stocked pet section with the largest Kong dog toy section I've ever seen. The improved and what looks purpose built farm shop was ok , but didn't have any fresh breads , everything seemed to be pre packed. The carpark now has an entry and exit which is much better than before .
j. u.
A very good garden center the plants all look healthy and strong and with a good selection. We had a cream tea and the kids played in the park and got lost in the maze also they had a good time. The only down side is the lack of parking available. 5 stars if we could have parked in the car park and not on the driveway.
E. C.
Had a nice snack in cafe and clothes brought in Klass
C. T.
Beautiful place to visit. Has changed drastically since I have been before. Was quaint now bigger and more commercial and in my opinion prices have exceeded what I want to pay. Over and above anywhere else I visit for tea and cake. It is a lovely one off though.
S. T.
Nice garden centre with decent plants and tbe usual stuff you find at similar centres. It is a bit pricy compared to some other garden centres but afterwards its nice to walk around Stansted Park or enjoy coffee at the cafe next door.
C. M.
Lovely fresh fruit and veg, the organic eggs were so good and the pork saddleback cuts were the best, also the quiche was flavoursome and filling.
J. S.
Always had great success with the plants bought here. It's a nice place to go to rain or shine and the surrounding countryside is always a joy. Places to eat and drink and to go for a walk and the children can ride on the miniature train.
I. F.
Great place to go and visit, Christmas shop nearly ready. Easy to get round and very good eateries.
M.
Really lovely day out for the family in the beautiful garden areas, good food, farmers market, quaint tea room, good garden center, extra stuff at the weekends plus they also have different events through most of the year if i remember rightly.
Free parking as well..!
Goods are high quality so not cheap.
J. Y.
Ranks alongside Garsons but doesn't do Aquatics unfortunately which I feel would enhance it.
K. T.
Always amazing place to go.
F. A.
Cheese and meat expensive but brilliant quality tomato's from the Isle of Wight and whole range of products to look at can't wait for the train to open
D. R.

G. B.
Took my Mum for afternoon tea for her birthday. We were both very impressed and the staff members gave excellent customer service. Will definitely be going again.

Haven't been for ages. The garden centre has had a wonderful refit. The garden centre was wonderful and really enjoyed it. It's got a mini railway and a play area for the children and a lovely tearoom.
J. W.
Lovely place to wander around and browse. Large restaurant, lovely food. Good selection and large portions.
J. m.
It's ok I guess things are always going to be expensive cafe is good I thought they'd have more here to be honest
P. H.
They do the second best ploughman's
r.
Free entry is always good especially in half-term. There is an extra charge for the maze and outdoor games area. The Pavilion tea rooms make a beautiful setting but is very expensive. Two 330ml bottles of Coke came to £5.60!
E. R.
Such a lot to see. The usyal garden centre fayre plus the history of this place. Lovely grounds and obviously popular with locals.....so many in the restaurant that there was a wueue out of the door. We didnt wait. Plenty of room for a wheelchair and pleasant staff. Will go again hoping its not so busy.
G. T.
Easy parking, plenty of plants, furniture and all garden accessories. Nice restaurant. A pleasant afternoon to be spent here.
K. L.

C. W.
Lovely place to rest for coffee before or after taking a meander around the garden centre. Excellent selection of things to chose from
G. J.
Take trips to here when I need to relax . The cafe is lovely and its nice to take a walk round and then go to the farm house to purchase some chutney or jams
M. C.
Great garden centre, excellent choice of plants and tools etc.
Cafe/restaurant has good food and a seating area for people with dogs, even somewhere to secure a lead whilst the owner gets food from the counters.
Highly recommended.
S. M.
Went and had lunch at The Pavilion tearooms. Food great, service excellent , staff lovely. It was very busy but there was enough staff to cope, we didn't have to wait long for our meal. Definitely will go again.
J. S.
It was clean and spacious and very bright.first time being there I was very impressed with the way they had everything laid out.
M. D.
Lunch and a bit of shopping. Cafe and restaurant.
Plants and associated garden products.
Pavers shoes and a clothing section. Pet products, garden furniture, bbq, jams, chutneys, greetings cards, pottery , spa pools. A good hour or two needed.

Brilliant place to visit and to go for long Walks.
And there's lots to see in the Garden Centre too.
And in the cafe they allow dogs because they got big cornered off for them.
But I wish you could walk your Dog in the woods and around the estate. And for this reason I give this place 3 stars
🌟🌟🌟
C. b.

S. R.
Stansted Park as a shopping destination is going through another revolution, and the result is very promising. As an afternoon tea destination it has been a first choice for a while, and today was no exception. Young attentive staff, great produce and today, a very wet view. There is also an opportunity for many other activities including riding on a mini train, playing in play area and walking the stunning grounds of the house.
f. P.
With our grandsons today we all wenta
Stanstead Park Garden Centa;
It's a favourite place -
They both say it's ace -
And it's certainly an adventcha!
P. Y.
First visit today. Lovely grounds and cafe garden area. Farm shop is very pricey which is typical of these places. Would like to visit again for cafe and a walk around the grounds.
R. B.
My friend and myself went there today, & i was really surprised how big it is, there are 2 places to have a breakfast, lunch, cream tea, & a massive selection of sandwiches etc, lots of little shops tucked away, Xmas decoration's, & so much more that I haven't got time to mention, well worth a visit 👍 😉
M. L.
Excellent food in café especially at half price! Great service. Hygiene; first class.
Good choice of plants, trees and seeds.
D. P.
it's a big mish mash of things to see an do: kids play park, mini train, garden centre and cafe.
It makes for an excellent day out. Food and service in the cafe is superb. We will go again.
D. F.
Forget the rundown state of yester year. All refurbished and excellent cafe inside but closed during lockdown. We also use the farm shop to the right beside the car park
C. W.
