Reviews of Trentham Garden Centre
P. M.
One of the largest garden centres we have ever been to, they have a wide variety of products indoors and a large well stocked area outdoors with a wide variety of nice healthy plants, garden ornaments and sheds. They also have a selection of eating places inside, we tried Caffé Bello and had a really nice club Sandwich and a decent pot of tea.
V. H.
Came here for the first time on a short visit to the shopping village and was really impressed with what I saw! It's certainly the biggest garden centre I've been to, very spacious and well laid out both inside and out. There's indoor and garden furniture, cookware, clothing, shoes and fancy goods as well as everything a gardener might want from garden tools to ornaments. The ladies fashion was stylish and the prices were reasonable. Outside there's a wide choice of bedding plants, roses, pond plants, fruit trees and more besides. The plants looked healthy and well cared for, were clearly labelled and constantly being watered. Helpful staff on hand to give advice about plant care. Didn't have time to sample the food in the café or Italian restaurant but there were some nice foodie treats in the shop. You could easily spend a whole afternoon in here. Would definitely come again.

Love the christmas decorations here. I always visit this garden centre when I go to Trentham. My issue with this place is that some prices are reasonable and others are not. Artificial christmas trees are very expensive (£150+ !) considering I can get cheaper ones elsewhere that are alike.
J. B.
Lovely chalet type shops...beautiful gift shops ..an absolute pleasure....lots of walking but plenty of places to sit ..a good variety of eateries...
N. S.
Nice retail park, not far from M6 J15. Selection of seasonal goods and clothing. Restaurant and coffee shop. Well worth visiting for a couple of hours.
S. H.
Great shopping 🛍 experience, hundreds of choices and good food.

Much improved I'm happy to say, some great offers atm to, I purchased two extra large terracotta frost resistant pots for £29.99 each, I'd be very hard pushed to find a better price for the size etc. The outdoor plant area was again looking loved, tidy and obvious thought gone into creating an appealing display with colour waves, I wandered happily in the rain choosing plants. The range of plants and garden accessories is again much better to, well done on the effort and hard work 👏 Inside also has some great offers from pocket money to hefty price tags, I love how diverse Trentham Garden Centre is! Slightly irritated at being jumped at by a wet dog, I'm a dog lover but it's beginning to get out of hand particularly at weekends, I'm aware that owners have been requested to use short leads but sadly you can't train some owners.

Visited the Shopping Village and that was fabulous. Haven't yet been to Garden Centre but looking forward to it on our next visit. Didn't allow enough time on our first trip here. Looks fantastic and can't wait 😀
C.
Best garden centre in the area. Went to buy some plants to revamp the living room, was helped by Emily and she recommended some very lovely houseplants. She was very attentive and made the experience very easy. Will definitely be returning
F. P.
My parents and myself visited a few weeks ago. Wow what a beautiful place full of wonderful items to buy. We spent hours walking round all the staff were lovely the cafe was brilliant 👏 well done
V. S.
What a massive garden centre and shopping centre. I remember the entrance with some lightweight plants and decorations for the house, then going clockwise you'll have more ornaments and furniture, finishing with a food and alcohol section which didn't seem to be too organised. The actual garden centre is massive and includes many varieties of plants and showcases some sheds and gazebos. Nice experience even for a few hours worth of visit.
S. H.
Wow, loads of choice for plants, garden furniture and hundreds of quirky little extras to make any garden a little special. Then a lovely restaurant for snacks or a carvery.

Spent a few enjoyable hours with an elderly friend at Trentham Garden Centre recently.
We chose to take our friend here as she has been struggling with her walking recently and so needs to be able to take her time. The centre allows such a leisurely amble round because of the wide uncluttered aisles.
We chose to eat here and the carvery offered ample food though a little sparse on choice. I would question if this is a true carvery as I would define one as other than choosing do you want an item or not the food was served by the army of staff on. That said it was well cooked and presented with ample servings and well worth the money.
In the garden centre itself there is plenty to peruse both indoor and out all of which are displayed in ample room unlike some smaller venues. This is indeed one of the largest garden centres I have visited.
The outdoor section is in my view well worth the visit. You could spend more than enough time just taking in some of the fine specimens of trees they have on sale.
Prices across the board are about where you would expect them to be for this size of outlet and the service and information the staff gave was also what I would expect but still worth mentioning.
For me and my wife and friend it turned out a pleasant experience one we shall no doubt repeat again in the not too distant future. I highly recommend a visit (if you are of a certain age that is:-)
R. P.
Superb garden centre offering a wide assortment of products! Fantastic displays and well worth a trip to see. Was particularly impressed with the garden furniture and barbecues on offer. Super friendly staff and very helpful, full of product knowledge. Highly recommend.
J. H.
One of the best garden centres!
H. C.
We love a garden centre and this is one we recommend to others that also enjoy them. Plenty of thing's to do and see within the surrounding area too.
T. M.
Massive shopping loads to see and do.
Great sweet shop. You can walk everywhere with your dog as long as they are on leads.
Lots of food and drink places. Plenty of toilets around.
M.
I love this place. If you are a keen gardener there are some great offers on here at the moment, bagged myself a load of half price plants at the weekend as well as some bits for the house. Fantastic collection of garden furniture, water features, pots and more. Some items can be a bit pricey but the quality is excellent and there are always offers available and because I only live 15 mins away this is my go to place when i've got a bit of time on my hands. So pleased also to find out that Bridgemere will soon be taken over by the same group as Trentham.
J. O.
They have good quality wide range of products. From clothes, books, plants and household to children's toys, there is a wide variety of plants, so if you are in to gardening, you will not be disappointed, if you want to relax and have a meal or a drink they have it. Hear
P.
Simply and quickly the best place for shopping and meeting with people, there is so much to do whenever having free time.
To add on ups is fact that-taking second exit after leaving that Garden Centre there is Toby Carvery which is less than three minutes off that roundabout-they serve the best carvery pretty much same at the same premises in Lytham next to Blackpool.
I definitely recommend this place so hop on there, chop chop guys you won't be regret maybe toilets need to upgrade any time soon.
Thank you for your attention and co-operation.
C.u there soon.
D. L.
Fantastic place, something for everyone, wish I lived closer, would love to be able just to pop in.
B. H.
Stunning light displays, boys loved the marshmallow toasting, helter-skelter & ferris wheel...really enjoyed the event
T. L.
Got to be the best trentham garden centre I've been ..... seriously though really nice place, nice little quirky shops and the big name shops have some good deals, the gardens are beautiful and they have some really good events on in the paid part of the gardens ( the quirky shops are free to visit and there's some lovely restaurants and cafés to visit) . Come to think of it there is a lot in the pay bit, there's a kids play area, barefoot walk, a monkey forest ( with proper monkeys walking past )... definitely worth a visit when in the area and I would travel for a day out especially when they have an event on.
R. H.
As a fan of Blue diamond Garden centres, Trentham is one of my favourite to visit! Their cacti and indoor plant area is brilliant and i never walk out empty handed as im a big cactus collector, Trentham is well worth the visit what ever your needs. 5*
M. N.
I have been here many times over as it is only about 30 minutes for us Icwas so looking forward to eating at the garden centres restaurant, it has all changed smaller menu, a waiters come to the table to take the order, all done we had our drinks we waited so long we finished our drinks than 40 minutes went by and still no food, we noticed other people had theirs who ordered after us we asked the waitress and said its because we are having cooked food, I noticed everyone else was having cooked food, she said it will be here in 5, after having to wait and wait and asking again we got up complained and we left very disappointed. Never again.
C. S.
Lovely place. Fabulous collections of things. Beautifully displayed. For a Christmas everything you wanted for decorating is there. Very much enjoyed. Beautiful collection of plants too.
K. G.
Loved it great choice of Christmas decorations really pretty.
J.
Last night my family and I visited the Christmas light festival which was held at Trentham .
What a fantastic night we were taken back by the beautiful display of lights and music.
Also adding mulled wine, luxury hot chocolate and also toasting your own marshmallows in a fire ( breathtaking) it was a night to remember for a long time.
A wonderful magicial night out with the family ,
Will most definitely be returning next year thank you for a fantastic night out xx
B. R.
Plenty of shops all looking like wooden cabins. Great for something different. It also houses a great garden centre and the entrance to Trentam Gardens can be found in the centre of the main shopping area. Well worth a visit if you are passing the area. Not far off the M6 junction 15.
W. H.
Was only there briefly today but amazed by the quality and wealth of goods. Would really love to go again soon taking family to buy stuff for. Its a good place to find great presents for homes and gardens. Especially loved the handmade natural wooden eagle in the window.
C. W.
Garden Centre was not too busy, however was midweek early afternoon.Seemed to be in a bit of transition as selling off left over Xmas stuff. Ate in the Italian restaurant, food was really good if a little pricey.
L. S.
A lovely place to visit for a walk around the lake and in the gardens. There are two good cafes to visit in the gardens as well as within the shopping complex, and plenty of shops to look around after your walk.
M. T.
Great place to unwind and relax or take a stroll around the lake or there's a boat that can take you to the other end of the lake if you don't fancy the walk which is about a 15 min walk at a steady/slow pace.
L. G.
I am disappointed with the service in the six arches...we sat for 20 minutes no one took our order...we had to stop someone.. drinks came they were wrong....after 30 mins we enquired were our salads were after many who came after us had eaten...we were told curtly we had only ordered 10 mins before and when we tried to correct them they argued!!! I received a salmon salad that was flavourless and a full jar of capers yuck...

Trentam gardens is in Stoke in Trent.
Very easy to access from the motorway from bitmingham. Parking is convenient as soon as you arrive you are greeted with the large gates which show you were to park. The parking attendants are great as they helped us.
After walking to the entrance we noticed the prices are higher if you pay on the day but that’s like most things I would recommend doing an online search and ordering tickets online as it does save you a few pounds and also helps you in terms of not waiting in the lengthy queues.
The gardens are amazing the wildlife is fantastic and I would recommend that you get the full ticket to see the monkey forest as there are so many different monkeys and different things going on from taking part with the helpers feeding the monkeys or watching them get fed or cleaned. The guides are very helpful and we noticed for those who require vehicle help the garden provides a tour and vehicle which we would recommend. The tours are actually really useful especially if you have a group as they explain in detail many things, to be honest when you come out you’ll be an expert!
It’s a beautiful and clean environment guides are helpful and a great day out for the family!

I normally love my trips to trentham for all the home stuff and a browse but decided to buy a few indoor oxygenated house plants because we suffer from the terrible fumes coming from walleys quarry… I bought a snake plant and 2 mini plants 🪴 all 3 are now dead within the month… the guy who they sent me to help me pick some and give information about them was very kind but had absolutely no idea what I was asking him, I said most of the ones I had selected looked a bit dead but did they have any other ones or whatever … ended up finding and picking it on my own as he wonders off aimlessly without a scooby doo what to do or say. One big chunk fell off in the car ( I didn’t know at the time it was rotten below soil level and visibility) another when I got home and then another a few days later … same with my mini plants leaves slowly dying… they obviously don’t look after them enough because I couldn’t revive them and now I’m around £20 down with no house plants
C. C.
This is such a fabulous place.
I found some very different things. Staff are very good and helpful
Well done. Also very wheelchair friendly.
T. S.
Really nice setting for lunch out with friends. Fresh good quality food. Staff really helpful and welcoming
M. R.
Lovely gardens and nice lake side walks and fairy sculptures to look out for
P. P.
Good parking facilities but best to get there early. Store sells most things but can be quite pricey. The Xmas decorations were lovely good range of colours but very glittery it was all over the floor and needed cleaning up. Some were very pricey. Did buy some books though.
One thing I didn't like was that it was like a maze to find the exit to pay they appeared to block some of the aisles, probably to make you look at everything they sell or to visit the cafe. We had to ask a member of staff how to get to the tills.
A. B.
Huge, sith plenty of variety / choice.
They have a cafe, and also a restaurant too which was great. You pay a little more in the restaurant, but generally quieter and more free tables.
C. E.
Nice garden centre, Christmas decorations are as lovely as ever and the trees are decorated lovely and give a lot of inspiration. The other bits they have in there are also lovely, a good mixture.
Cafe is overpriced inside the garden centre, not worth the money. £4.10 for a teacake (it's bigger than a regular one) but still a bit OTT on the price.
C. A.
Perfect Garden centre for a mooch about, with a variety of products from trinkets to furniture. I cannot comment on the quality of the plants but they are plentiful. There is a Cafe available to refuel whilst shopping.
B. A.
Best place by far for Christmas Lights, decorations, gifts, ornaments, books, clothes, garden furniture, plants & shrubs and garden buildings.
Very helpful staff on hand to help you find what you are looking for. Go early to get a parking space, especially at weekends, as Trentham Shopping is very popular and gets very busy.
W. H.
Love the place but opening times on Google are wrong, arrived at 5:40 on a Friday to then be told they close at 6. Opening times say 8pm every week night on Google though. But best place around for houseplants!!!
J.
Loads to look at, you could easily spend most of the morning/afternoon here looking around at the different areas. They have areas set up for children's displays around Christmas also that are fun to watch. Choices of plants, kitchenware, homeware, clothes, gifts, seasonal gifts and decorations. Home made food. Could easily get all the family Christmas shopping done in one place. Coffee shop, restaurant. And parking available.
W. H.
I always enjoy every moment when visiting Trentham Garden Centre.
If you love nature and enjoy good coffee then you are in the right place.
There is something for the body as well as something for the soul.
Just across from the Garden Centre, there is the Trentham Shopping Village that never disappoints; good coffee, delightful food and plenty of shops to keep you busy throughout the day. A lovely day out!
D. B.
Great day out, £12 adult admission to the gardens and is well worth it!
L. W.
Busier than expected arriving as everything opened. But good to visit here again after not visiting for 4/5yrs. Great range of shops and cafes as always.
V. B.
Beautiful garden centre lots of wonderful items that are continuously changed on each arrival. Love the atmosphere, and range of products. Will go many more times!
W. R.
Great place for a day out, you've got all the wood hut shops plus another section has now been completed, giving you even more choice. If shopping is not your thing then you also have the amazing Trentham gardens. Glad to see Milly and roses have joined the estate moving from Newcastle, with a great selection of the Annie Sloan paints great couple with expert advice, pop in to see them. Also glad to see Cornerstone jewelry still there, having seen their shop empty!!!! Only to realise they have moved to a new unit down near the garden centre. Great owners with a fab selection of storm watches and now stocking Nomination Italian jewelry.
K.
Excellent place for an equally excellent Sunday roast at a value for money price. Couldn't fault our meals of roast turkey - proper turkey not that thin slice "stuff" that could be anything! Shop and plant choices and quality are excellent too. Highly recommend.
C. T.
Absolutely massive garden centre. Fantastic range of plants and a lot of them well priced. Not the usual extortionate garden centre prices.
C. H.
I love the strange range of goods in the garden centre - from shoes to cards, garden furniture to animal feed. Very clean, wide, bright walking areas. My only niggle is they have shut off the cut through from the front door to the cafe; meaning if you are meeting someone for coffee you have to walk around the whole store first, which is a little irritating at times.
K.
Not the cheapest garden centre but has a big variety of products, both garden and soft furnishings. Large amount of Christmas decorations in winter.
Q.
Everything you need to decorate and take care of your garden, the place is huge with variety of wide range of related products
T. B.
Had a lovely breakfast in there restaurant with very friendly staff recommend
D. B.
Overall a very pleasant visit to Trentham Garden Centre. A comprehensive selection of plants and garden products. The Christmas selection is impressive and it’s a great place for a decent cup of coffee.
S. L.
Just popped in for a quick bite for lunch... the place was buzzing with folks. Very Christmassy 😁
The staff were lovely... it's a shame we couldn't see their faces under the masks, but I guess that's the way of this paranoid world now.
As it was massively busy, we were told there would be a 20 minute delay, but our drink arrived promptly and it was only 10 minutes before the panini's arrived! Beautifully presented, hot and delicious!
Great experience, but I'd expect that from Stokies... best folk on the planet 😁👍🏻
Thank you and I hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year 🍾🥂
S. M.
The gardens are a great walk with the dog, superb views and a safe and relaxing environment.
S. R.
Lots of choices in garden furniture plants & garden ornaments
S. S.
A large garden centre that stocks a wide variety of things. The sheds/outbuildings and playhouses are really varied and definitely worth looking at. There’s also a good selection of home goods.
G. T.
Fantastic night out with grandchildren, the lights were fantastic, along with a relaxed musical atmosphere.
Very special occasion
Italian gardens
, molto bellisimo
J. K.
Great place to the family the shops in the food court is ok but the food outlets are not dog friendly so a bit inconvenient
C. D.
nice walk round the gardens very well kept only problem was the smell from the lake the garden centre itself is a good size with plenty inside from cooking. clothing some nice cafes plus loads of outside flowers to pick from there is also 20+ independent huts in front of the garden centre that are very well kept worth a visit at Christmas when it is all done up inside and out would have given 5☆ if not for the smell when we walked round the gardens
D. A.
I purchased some Blue Diamond multipurpose compost (I have used it for the last few years) and found the staff who served me most pleasant and helpful
T.
First time visit today. It's massive and lot's to see. Great shopping experience with friendly staff. You could spend a few hours here. I would highly recommend a visit.
J. F.
Good parking and access with indoor and outdoor shopping, café and toilets, all clean and well maintained. There is a large variety of shops in the outdoor section, to suit quite a wide range of tastes and budgets. The same can be said of the indoor shopping, although that is one big shop with lots of little sections. I particularly like the card section, where I think I picked up a birthday card for every member of the family 😅
s. F.
My boyfriend took me out for breakfast this morning at the Six Arches restaurant and I was not disappointed. The place is open and fresh and the view we had was lovely and it didnt feel like you were in a garden centre at all. I highly recommend the Truffle eggs on sourdough toast as it was to die for and my boyfriend really enjoyed his poached eggs on toasted sourdough. Hats off to the kitchen 👌. The coffee was pretty good too. The restaurant staff were friendly and very well presented, so all around a hit. We look forward to coming back and sampling the gorgeous looking homemade cakes and pastries with more cups of coffee. The garden centre staff were also very helpful and made for an enjoyable visit.
C. O.
Fantastic place for so much, a bit pricy!!
H. K.
Went for another walk around Trentham Estate on this gloriously sunny spring day. One of us has a yearly pass so second persons entry is reduced. It's so worth it, we come here every time I visit. It changes with the weather & the season's & is such a relaxing place to walk in these difficult times, where so many places are closed. There are places to get refreshments/restrooms at either end of a large lake. Easy access for wheelchair/buggys & dog friendly. Great play area for children with a delicious ice-cream parlour in the season. Lots starting to grow/flowers coming on. With wildlife/birds a plenty. Something for everyone really. Believe me it's well worth a visit. We're going to bring a picnic when the weather is good. Hope you enjoy your visits as much as we do.
G. W.
Lovely place to wander around and get ideas but quite expensive
T. T.
Really enjoy wandering around this store when we visit Trentham. Nice especially at Christmas time, they have a huge section of decorations etc. Cafe very nice too,
L. J.
A great place to shop -enjoy all the choices and finish off with lunch
G. B.
Outstanding service to all the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant this lunchtime, some customers were moaning about having to wait, but the staff were well polite, sanitising tables and doing their utter best to keep social distancing between customers and them self's.
10/10 to all the staff. Thank you so much to the lovely staff, they made my morning as a single lady feel respected and valued.
B. H. (.
Comprehensive array of goods to choose from .Everything for the garden plus many other products to numerous to mention. Along with craft ales, preserves, and other food and drink items .All in one large warehouse sized centre.
G. A.
My favourite place to visit! I love the atmosphere here. The little wooden shop village is fantastic and the restaurant inside the Garden centre serves the best cream tea in the whole area!
A. S.
Lovely place. Could spend many hours and much money. Excellent plants and wide selection of all things for the garden. Also lovely selection of clothing, shoes, gifts, books and a fantastic eatery! A regular place for me to visit whenever I'm in Stoke.
J. D.
Enjoy visiting Trentham Garden centre. But tried to order a coffee at 16.32 in caffe bello and was told sorry we close at 16.30. There were a few more people trying to order drinks at this time we were all turned away. This makes you think twice about Christmas shopping here.
T. B.
What can I say a very enjoyable walk and shops yay, we had food outside and there are some fantastic little shops, I personally love Weird Fish and they always seem to have a sale on, I got a few bargains. Overall a very pleasant Sunday morning. Highly recommended.
B. S.
Good garden centre with a banging cafe.loved it empty plate
G.
This garden centre has shaped who I am. My very being has been inspired by this shop. I have so many memories engraved into this building to the point where it is a part of my soul. We have come here with my nana (my brother and I), every year since we were young. It has never failed to entertain us, as we grow with age, it is almost a spiritual journey to walk through here.
C. S.
I am so impressed with the delivery service i received from Mark and Steve. There was damage on one of the pieces of furniture I had ordered, and not only was the whole piece of furniture replaced, but on the same day too with a real friendly manner. So helpful, thank you.
L. &. P. R.
Lovely shop, wide range of products from food, clothing and candles. Great garden centre.
R. J.
Often go for an afternoon out. Nice products some a bit pricey.
A. T.
Popped on to see the Christmas decorations. As usual set out great and easy to access. Prices on a par with other stores. A centre always good to visit.
S. H. C.
Great place to visit when you are coming to Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire.
Restaurants, Shops, Gardens, a Beautiful Lake and a Garden Centre.
Stop off for a coffee or a bite to eat.
Highly recommended.
j. t.
Always a great range of plants for indoors and out.
Lots of gift ideas and a nice cafe.
Would've given 5 but very poor selection of seeds, probably with making room for Christmassy stuff. Guys...it's a GARDEN centre!!!
S. F.
Lots of classy Xmas gifts, trees and baubles and plants and singing reindeer
C. F.
Although a lot to see, I found the disabled parking poor, very few places. Would not have been able to stay if we weren't able to park near to the shops. Quite busy but most people were keen to keep face coverings on.
K. V.
Come here at least once or twice a week. Went garden centre to pick up bedding plants. A bit pricey but it's cheaper with the blue diamond discount card. Lovely Garden,s and great walks .And great walk around Lake and you have the shops to browse around top.
j. h.
Great place to visit, free parking, toilets, cafes, restaurants, shops, garden center. You can go into the gardens (which are lovely)and walk around the lake or use the play area for the kids. There are places to sit and you can buy drinks and food. There is a charge to enter the gardens or you can buy an annual pass which is great value if you use it as often as we do!
L. W.
Could spend a fortune in here so many lovely things to buy 😊 we went to the cafe which was very busy always a good sign.
D. C.
Lovely place with lots of different things to see & buy. Great Christmas section with lots of unusual items. Really nice coffee shop, great cake!
M. C.
A well stocked garden centre with a wide range of products. Sadly let down by a completely unnecessary one way system that forces you to spend longer here than you need to. Also I was unimpressed with the hot drinks which were mediocre at best as well as very overpriced. We didn't even bother with the food, almost eight quid for a sandwich? You're having a giraffe mate!
R. K.
Love it here! Bit pricey in places but wonderful as a treat x
B. B.
Lots of variety here, good gift options, the Christmas section has got a little disappointing over the years but Bridgemere isn't far and it's planned out alot better so just go there instead.
T. “.
So much more than just a garden centre. Lovely kitchen and homeware. Selections of hand crafted food. An array of stationary and much more. Will definitely visit again when we are next in the area
B. B.
Nice place to visit but you need a lottery win to afford there plant prices
I. T.
We as a couple love this place, as the restrictions have eased and the kids have gone back in to school its a plesent get away which is not too far away. Social distancing is observed and all shops are welcoming the trade back in to their doors just a few people at a time. It's a great place in a beautiful area, fresh air tree a spot of nature and shops, cafés, a chance for a brew or some hot or cold food within this tranquil environment.
G. J.
If you love Christmas.
This is the place to come to get in the mood
K. T.
A lovely Christmas feeling in there not too busy .bought some good bargains .had a meal there .lovely ,no pressure .
K. H.
Lovely visit, well organised, beautiful grounds and flowers, fairies, lake etc
P. T.
Nice place but gets so busy. Would only go if you have a lot of time as parking is a nightmare.
C. M.
Love the garden centre. We are local but don't go as often as we could. Lots to see at the garden centre and buy and the shops in the shopping village are nice too. Could do with a few more some empty spaces in places. The gardens are lovely to walk around but so big!!
J. C.
Thank you to Josh in Cafe Bello for your help when my husband was taken ill, on Friday 22nd, and the ladies ( I'm sorry I never asked your names) on the next table for your concern and help. He is now in hospital and feeling loads better.
S. C.
Good garden centre, can pick up some good deals
J. O.
Good to walk the grounds. Fair few shops and a good garden centre
s. p.
Gorgeous day. Lovely gardens. Really enjoyed looking around the shops and grabbing lunch here too. Was lucky with the weather. Will definitely return
O. F.
Lovely relaxed cafe at the back of the garden centre, and space for the children to play safely
M. G.
Lovely atmosphere, the retail lodges constructed out siberian larch. On the whole good value family & dog friendly. An asset to Stoke on Trent
A. B.
To say its a garden centre is an understatement. Massive range of high quality shopping. Cafe restaurant. Oh And they sell plants. Huge range, well laid out to help with buying and designing. It's probably easier to say what they don't have. But don't know what that is either
L. M.
I love it here so clean, wide range of things, not just plants but clothes, kitchenware. They do wide range of smellies lol Bath bombs lotions etc. Only problem is because of layout of centre you more or less have to walk all around store to get to gardening section, so going through smellies kitchenware clothes etc first.( It was like this before lockdown & social distancing) but still worth a visit.
B. S.
Fabulous place. Some great curio items. Garden centre is great. Quality of plants excellent. The cafe/restaurant service is as great now. As it is now table service, the service isn't so great. I watched a man try to get the attention of 3 servers, it took an age as they were busy chatting...... But the food, lovely, very tasty.
R. C.
Decent choice of gifts, not overrun by decorations. Especially liked the outdoor planted pots.
L. W.
Lovely day out walking around grab some food, so many shops & plenty to see if you haven’t yet visited it’s a must highly recommend.
A. M.
Lovely place to visit be that for a couple of hours or all day
S. O.
Great store with plenty of departments, great range, good prices, always clean and staff are always at hand to help if needed although they appear to be busy all the time.
P. H.
Excellent venue to visit with abundance of variable outlets to suit all tastes .
With a excellent indoor shopping area again very high standard with attention to detail.
This very nice well established vast area which is expanding every year with a beautiful gardens to suit all tastes .
This is a excellent attractive tourist visited by many thousands of people from all over the country.
Their facilities are of a high standard in look like log effect shopping outlets .
Would genuinely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing day out
M. S.
The garden and house shop had a great mix of things for the home, garden and patio. Also a woman's clothing section. The outdoor garden centre had lots of choice, plants, trees and pots. A short walk away are a collection of mixed shops and the lovely Trentham Gardens. Great mix.
M. H.
It's so iconic each season brings a totally different colour even in mid winter on a foggy frosty day, Spring and summer bring forth a wonderland full of colour changing as the season goes on, and Autumn the trees of which their are many all shapes and sizes change in to those lovely colours everyone likes to see, then there are the sculptures some cut out of standing trees along with man made one's out of different materials take a camera and photograph the ones you find, when you have finished walking around and looking there's plenty of places to eat and drink inside the gardens or outside in the retail park along side all the log cabins selling many different types of goods from designer brands to musical instruments and just when think that's it you spot the signs leading you to the garden centre alongside more flowers than you can shake a stick at for sale it's full of all your gardening needs from garden furniture to many gardening tools and even the books to advise and show you how to go on you can even get some thing to eat and drink in amongst everything else, full day out for all the family including children with the play ground miniature train and a boat ride on the lake and don't forget the ruins of Trentham Hall.
P. W.
Really nice place, well set out, there always something I tend to buy. Little bit on the pricey side though, if you wanted you probably could get most of the products a lot less online for the same quality, though its reasonable when there's a sale on
K. P.
lots to see and nice food in the restaurant. Parking excellent and lots of gift and outdoor clothing shops in the village part.
G. C.
Good Walk Good Shopping! Great Place to Shop!
So much to see and so much to do!
I. S.
Love this place...beautiful things to buy, wonderful food in the various restaurants...its always a pleasure to visit.
L. 1.
I love the range of goods here, great displays, interesting products. I especially like the Christmas stuff they have here; there's an amazing scene set up with little shops, houses, churches, fairground rides, and even a ski lift, lots of music and lights and movement. It's pricey though - there aren't many options for people on a low budget.
G. V.
Although the heavens did open every shop the sales team just smiles and made us feel welcome lovely place to shop
B. C.
The chocolate cake in the cafe in the garden center wasn't very chocolate and tasted synthetic. It's not the cheapest cafe by a long way and so I'd expect a much higher standard of snacks.
A. H.
An amazing range of gifts and garden products. Had an early breakfast in the cafe the service and food was excellent. They do a good vegatarian breakfast and the service was brilliant.
K. P.
As ever the garden centre was lovely to visit. Unfortunately the food festival was located a long way the other side of the centre and lake making it difficult for elderly and disabled to walk to. Needed a proper disabled parking area.
B. F.
Great place in the summer. It’s expensive but you don’t have to spend any money to enjoy the shopping village. The gardens are really nice but you do have to pay to go in
D. B.
Love the Christmas adventure with my daughter, we always buy a few new baubles. A little more expensive, but truly worth it 👌
K. M.
It truly is a fabulous garden centre packed with beautiful items and plants, and we love to visit...but Oh dear me, yesterday's visit...
I had to complain about the food. I never complain. I ordered the King Prawn on bloomer. It came, no way did the sandwich match the hype of the menu...they were not King Prawns! I think someone must have quickly defrosted a bag of prawns from Iceland. At £7.95 for a sandwich they have your pants down. I do not mind paying for quality. They are charging top whack prices for mediocre food. Please review your food and your prices. Just robbery.
As for the check out, a nasty piece of work stroppily served us, he was a small young man with a miserable demeanour, yes, we get that these are bad times and you have had to work on a Sunday, but do not take your personal problems to work. This runt had all of the charm and charisma of a checkpoint charlie.
This is my third visit to Trentham as I love to buy lovely gifts for my family, I will be returning but will avoid the mediocre prawn sandwich and the painful adolescent teenager on the tills! Get him stacking shelves! He lets the rest of the beautiful staff down!
M. C.
It is a lovely place nice &Christmas at the moment if you looking for gift ideas they have got it covered
D. S.
Amazing place, garden centre open and observing social distancing, hand sanitizer available on entrance and exit, Cadwaladers open for beverages and ice cream 🍦 and lodges selling health foods were also open. When general shops open again this is a great place to visit, been there many times myself, lovely bistros, cafe's and restaurants, dog friendly too and beautiful gardens to visit ( admission charge to gardens ) well worth visiting 👍😊
K. S.
Very good shopping centre and cafes, all with very helpful and friendly staff. Was very busy with people and their families due to half term break.
N. W.
Fantastic local to me and love it wonderful gardens great choice for food and drinks gorgeous lakeside walks got everything for everyone great day out for all the family well worth a visit
S. W.
Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely ladies and gents. It was very busy too, seems like a great team ethos. Well done all.
Food was delicious and well worth paying a little bit more for. We are full and happy.
Next trip is being planned already and we haven't even left yet.
V.
Really beautiful place, lovely facilities and quite peaceful. The shops are a bit random but there's lots of nice places to eat
K. E.
Really nice garden centre n not overly priced either
C. H.
Good day out for picnics or a good walk round the lake.
W. V.
Love the plants here. The layout is just excellent
C. G.
Quiet when we went for breakfast but great service and food.
B. M.
Easy parking great shopping experience friendly helpful staff.
A. M.
Good day out, lovely gardens and a walk round the lake. Craft fair every 3rd Saturday. Lots of shops, garden centre, eateries and free parking
J. H.
A lovely well kept shopping area and grounds, not too many shops open at the time of our visit, with restrictions in place as to how many allowed in the some of the shops, due to the size of them but none the less a good variety of independent and corporate shops. Also free parking and dogs allowed in some of the shops.
L. M.
A bit of a let down this year. Not as good as previous Christmas visits. Lots of queuing for lengthy periods, not great at the moment.
J. W.
Steep prices but a great selection of items to look at and buy. The outside area is plentiful too with bargains dotted around if you can find them.
S. M.
Great for a wander and day out with the family. The gardens are nice (especially the barefoot walk) but there are lovely shops and restaurants out front as well as a large garden centre. Parking gets busy but there is usually a good flow in and out. Have been many times as is close to major routes for driving and makes a good break of journey.
G. T.
The shopping village is such a lovely place to browse the shops. There's a great deal of variety. Plenty of places to eat too, that aren't too costly. Plenty of parking.
I really enjoy coming here. Great that they have recently added a lot more shops and a new toilet block at the bottom. It is also pet friendly too. We visit quite regularly.
R. J. (. F. C.
Just gets better and better. Lots of walking and exploring and fun for kids. Garden centre always has something good to buy too!
p. r.
Busy and little social distancing happening with other customers stopping to browse and discuss in the multiple pathways - no obvious wider quick route through. And of course you have to pass through the whole shop to get to the plants etc. and then pass through again to get to the checkout. Pricey.
P. R.
Lovely garden centre, lots of plants and things to buy. Great for gift shopping! Lots of parking and even a café :)
K. K.
Absolutely a wonderful day out. We were up visiting Stafford for a weekend for my husbands naval reunion and whilst having a coffee in tow.n got talking to a local couple who recommended this fantastic place to us.wish I knew who they were so I could thank them for a brilliant day out. We loved it .shame it was so cold that weekend but we will definitely take a trip up from Plymouth to visit again in the summer.
J. T.
I love this place.
The garden centre is magnificent and has some lovely plants I can't source anywhere else.
I often come here to meet a friend from uni as we are both around an hour from here.
Is great for Christmas shopping.. Which I'll start in a month or so.
There's the gardens, monkey Park and the shops nearby.
I like the restaurant here too. Good hearty food.
J. S.
More than just a garden centre!
At the entrance you follow a one way track through a mirad of departments. Starting off in houseplants, then smelly defusers, & soaps, kitchenware, cushions, yew tables, women's clothing, muck boot wellies, fairies, garden furniture, bbq pits. You then have a choice to go out into the mahoosive back for outdoors plants, planters, statues, soils, hardscapes & sheds/summerhouses. Or you can continue round inside to the children's toys & books, cakes & biscuits, alcohol, balsamic vinegars, cafés and toilets.
You can easily spend 3hrs just browsing.
The children's toy area is great for prezzies. Whilst the outdoor plant area contains all your gardening needs. It even has a wee tray of pond plants. That is the only area that needs improvement.
D. G.
Vast variety of indoor and outdoor plants and pots. But also great house and garden decor, kitchen accessories, smellies, clothing and shoes section and to my knowledge, the little café inside was opened as well.A great shopping experience with very polite and friendly staff.
R. G.
Very good place, lots of different shops at reasonable prices, also there is ample car parking spaces.
E. A.
First time back here since before Covid-19, and was not disappointed. Great selection of things - lots garden-related and lots not garden-related - all at good prices. 👍
J. B.
Nice walk around outlets. Lovely coffee and scone too.Staff friendly and loads to see.
S. G.
Some very expensive Chritmas gifts. Forced to walk through every area to get out (like IKEA stores)
H. M.
Tooooooooo busy. Apart from the outside area, there wasn't much of garden items. Most of the inside was centred around Christmas, not what I went in for.
T. K.
Good garden centre, very good selection of plants. In terms of getting in, buying the plants and garden stuff you need and getting out again I prefer it to Bridgemere even though it's the same company. The one frustration during lockdown is getting through the building and getting to the open air plant section at the back if you get stuck behind people moving veeeerrrry sloooowly and stopping to look at every tealight holder, novelty pond ornament and Alan Titchmarsh Mouse mat. For a proper old school garden centre I still prefer Garners in Newcastle.
P. W.
Great choice but hardly any staff to ask about any of the products
P. Y.
good place for home/garden related gifts, a bit different from high street shops. lovely restaurant and cafes inside
B. P.
Friendly staff and good levels of plant stocks.
Always manage to find a car parking space near the entrance which helps with transporting heavy items.
S. L.
Not cheap but a lovely shop, especially at Christmas - love the singing reindeer! Nice meal in the restaurant too.
R. s.
Such a lovely garden centre, so many things to see and buy. A fantastic eatery area with a wide range of food to choose from.
There is a small children's play area aimed at toddlers but nothing for older children. However they have a good selection of children's toys and books to purchase if you want to treat your child.
Once you've finished shopping in the garden centre you are then able to walk a very short distance to the shopping area of trentham gardens or go explore the gardens themselves where there are lots to explore for adults and children.
A fantastic day out and a must visit.
r. l.
Great gift selection. Good homeware selection . Always walk out with a basket full of goodies..
C. G.
Absolutely beautiful place with lots to see and buy.
S. P.
Lovely day out, restaurant really well organised regarding covid measures.
A. S.
A great place to visit, there's loads of top end products all set in a lovely building, they have a good cafe and spotlessly clean toilets, well worth a visit .
J. W.
Lovely place to visit whilst in Stoke on Trent. It has gorgeous gifts and you can always find things that little bit different. The cakes and coffee are really yummy too. Well worth a visit.
H. C.
Quite an oasis, I was delighted to discover this place. It’s not the cheapest but has unrivalled variety of indoor and outdoor plants, I’ve not experienced anywhere else in Cheshire, or Lancashire.
Also a huge gift and homeware area, local and national crafts, books, deli, etc.
Definitely on my regular hit list for Christmas shopping & somewhere to take the Mum & Mum-in-law (and even treat myself to the odd compulsive plant purchases). Handy to combine a visit with a lovely walk around Trentham Gardens.
D. M.
I visit this garden center regularly because of the wide range of plants for my garden, I own 2 acres so I have been landscaping the grounds and have spent several hundred pounds over the last year. I don't usually write anything negative or even complain but feel I need to in this instance. The staff on the checkouts are miserable and clearly are not happy to work there! They all need training on customer care because a smile and a greeting goes a long way.
S. P.
Oh! so many pretty things to see and buy, food is lovely too. Toilets clean and cared for, especially as we have Coronavirus. Well done all, I felt safe 👍👍👍
J. B.
Much more than just a garden centre. The retail area is full of interesting products and the garden centre is well stocked and good quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant area which again was good quality, well served and tasty. One warning - everything is top price (excluding "Diamond Club offers) including the food.
b. p.
Pleasant place offering lots of different things . Went to the reception and asked a question ... was made to feel I had interrupted a conversations between the two ladies . Apart from that, a positive experience in a place that seems to sell quality products ... and covid masks like one would never have guessed there once was a shortage of them !
K. D.
Excellent garden centre with an expansive choice of bottled Gins, flowers, garden and homeware 👍
F. M.
Such an amazing array of beautiful items for your home, your garden, for you, for him, and lots of individual shops too. If we had more tea, would have loved to sample the food, it looked delicious. Will definitely visit again. Lots of unique gifts.
S. B.
Love visiting Trentham, loads to see and do. Coffee shop lovely treat to finish.....shame gardens were closed due to an event.
M. A.
Wow. This place is massive. Amazing products on sale here. Sells just about everything. Plants, dining , clothes etc. Has 3 places to eat inside it then you go outside. Wow. Pics do not do it justice. It goes on forever . Didn't buy anything as was down for a meeting and was wandering around but had something for everyone. Place is fantastic
S. C.
Great place could go to Trentham every day.
Lovely shopping centre,
We love the Coffee Shop
Very classy with lovely staff...
We will be back..
C. P.
Very busy but I still felt safe. The grounds were awesome and we had lovely food which we ate on picnic benches.
L. S.
Lovely place, even during COVID, good safety measures in place. Lovely shopping village too. Shame for the odd person who doesn't like following COVID-19 rules putting others at risk. Would highly recommend. 👍😘
C. D.
Some beautiful flowers to choose from at the rear. Felt it was very dark indoors, which is a challenge for someone with poor vision so struggled to see where I was going and find my way.
B. G.
Stunning garden centre that sell pretty much everything there are 3 coffee shops in it which is nice and a huge outdoor area which is very pretty. It's especially nice around Christmas as there are light's everywhere, trees and even massive reindeer heads that sing !! All in all I enjoyed the experience of the garden centre but I didn't actually buy anything as it's very expensive and the products could be bought anywhere else for half the price.
J. R.
This place is magical at Christmas and after they have a good sale so worth going for that. Beautiful selection of orchids and the outside plant area always is well maintained. Some of coffee places are pricey but a nice treat.
J. P.
Every gardening gadget imaginable. A pleasant surround Decor designed beautifully. Outdoor and indoor garden centre Cafeteria serving delicious snack. Cannot fault anything. Just that it's expensive. Good quality though.
P. K.
It was great. Good range of gifts plus of course the garden section.
C. K.
Excellent place for Italian gardens and shopping.
P. B.
It's like a upmarket version of the Range, unfortunately with upmarket prices. However it's still well worth a trip to go and have a look around as it's a beautiful place with a really big outdoor area with plants, water features and garden ornaments. By the way when I say it's like an upmarket Range this is a positive as the Range is a great store.
K. B.
Lovely log cabins selling a whole range of items from bedding, clothes, pottery etc. Plenty of eating places with delicious food. It has a brilliant garden outlet which is full of gift ideas. If you have the time then you must visit the wonderful gardens and lake. All this and you can enjoy the friendly people of Stoke on tent. You will not be disappointed.
L. A.
plenty of choices... good stuff!
M. G.
Love coming here. Had some good deals today but normally I do find the prices a little high.
C. W.
Fantastic place lots to look at. And food is lovely. You can also take your dog.
F. F.
We had a lovely meal at the Italian restaurant in the garden centre and a walk round the chalet shops.A nice afternoon out.
H.
Very nice scones with clotted cream and jam, friendly staff however ordering convention a bit mixed - maybe signs with better instructions required. In addition more gluten free options would be even better, however they do have a selection!
N. D.
The Christmas displays are nice, but the whole place is quite expensive and can get very busy!
K. L.
Not as busy as I expected for a Bank Holiday weekend, but lots of stunning plants to choose from, beautiful clothes, homeware and furnishings. Staff and customers all observing social distancing so felt very comfortable whilst shopping.
R. H.
This is a big place lovely staff great selection of Christmas decorations and other lovely things
S. B.
Lovely shopping. Beats going into town
M. S.
A great place with a wide range of products and good quality eateries. Highly recommended
G. W.
Large and modern this garden centre is very nice, it has everything you want from indoor to outdoor plants, gifts and clothing to furniture. There are plenty of staff around to assist and there are at least two restaurants that I spotted. There is a large clothing area located beyond the giftware and furniture section, though it caters for the mature crowd if I am honest. The plant area is very big and you are spoilt for choice. The parking is free and you have the shopping village just next door. I noticed a massive gin collection at the end of the shop, any flavour you can think of. The whole place is wheelchair and pram friendly, I also noticed a few dogs pattering about. Worth a look when you have a spare moment.
A. F.
Went to the new butcher unit that as opened up, little disappointed as the unit is large but once inside poor choice of meat variety.
Also went to the new mountain warehouse unit, brilliant bright, roomy and helpful.
S. W.
I love trentham garden centre and I have done for a long time! They have some really lovely home stuff as well as really lovely kids toys and books and the garden centre of course 😂 The best time of the year for Trentham Garden centre is Christmas it really is next level. I always spend a fortune in there on Christmas decorations as they have so many lovely things! The cafe is really good too! Complete win!
T. S.
Impressive place to visit! !!!!
J. W.
Nice place but cold inside
S. D.
The garden centre has tried really hard to obtain normality in these strange times. The plants bought are, as ever, really good quality. The only downside was that the check out operator looked genuinely terrified at serving us despite the fact that we observed the social distancing guidelines.
J. A.
The garden center is first class, will complete with the best.
J. C.
Gobsmacked,
Its by far the best garden centre, coffee shop, restaurant I've been in. I had lunch in the Italian with a group of friends and it was excellent. Good sized portions at a good price. I will definitely be back. Fabulous
P. W.
Ok. Don't like one way system. Coffee bar had too many queueing. Restaurant not busy but only doing lunches! Left empty handed.
G. T.
Really enjoyed myself here
M. W.
Enjoyed prowsing around the shops and garden centre 😀
A. M.
Great place with loads of different varieties of plants and nearly all gardening requirements. One stop shop for a busy gardener. I was astounded to see banana plant there for a reasonable price.....above all great hangout place for family on a hot day.
C. B.
Very popular. Very well policed by all staff with regards to Covid -19.
The Garden Centre is well stocked for Christmas and has made a good effort to get the feel good factor going.
K. n. W.
Visited restaurant 19/11/2018 looking forward to a cream tea for lunch picked up Scone and jam asked for the cream but there was no cream why wasn't there a notice to tell me that as I may have had something else, asked for tea and coffee which was practically thrown across the counter at me also had to ask for a plate there were non out I was then told there were no saucers. The only reason I gave a score of 2 was because on other occasions there has been no problem but after today's service why should I return
M. L.
One of the best Garden centres I've been to, but if you find the plants please let me know.
(Outside ha, ha.)
C. A.
Nice place. Really tasty food. Good access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Great selection of toys, books, garden and home goods to look at. The christmas decorations are great during the xmas period. Only downside is the long queues in the cafe/restaurant but I guess that's because it is so popular.
B. T.
This is a very nice place to visit as it's got plenty of shops and there is a big hall with lots of different things in, also there some nice places to eat or just have a coffee. There's also the garden's and lake but you have to pay to go in.
J. &. P.
Lots of unusual things, well set out.
C. K.
Fabulous morning exploring all the wonderful
Shop’s and paraphanalia and a lovely cup of coffee to
S. J.
Visit Trentham Garden Centre quite a lot but today I have to admit I was met by the most obnoxious lady on the till as I was checking out. Her manner was abrupt and rude and more regimental and I think she knew she had annoyed me when she tried to wish me a good day as I left. I ignored her. it's the first time I've been in that shop and made to feel like a leper because of this coronavirus. I can understand them wanting to look after customers but today's escapade left a sour taste in my mouth
D. N.
Always a delight both inside and outside.
Lots of choice for food and always good quality.
Trentham is a gem, we're lucky to have it so close.
So why 4 instead of 5 stars? At £5:90 for a coffee and a muffin, it's too expensive.
A. B.
Hadn't been for years but a friend recommended this shopping village to find a fascinator that I needed. I was pleasantly surprised in how many different individual shops there are, many with unique ideas. The garden centre restaurant is a perfect place to visit. I found the perfect fascinator at a reasonable price and perfect match to my shoes and bag.
C. B.
Went in for wood smoking chips tiny bag for 6.99, I think about 1.5kg, far too expensive, but overall nice set up, and helpful staff
W. C.
Very over priced gifts seen in other retail locations far cheaper. No air conditioning so an uncomfortable visit. Shame as the rest of the Trentham site is well worth a visit and is a regular venue for meeting up with family
P. M.
A lovely Chrismassy place!
Very expensive stalls selling beautiful things!
B. B.
Beautiful selection of plants, shrubs and trees. Very good selection of food and drink at the various cafes. Good one way system adhering to social distancing. Would recommend.
S. D.
Great place to visit. I rated it 4 stars as the parking can sometimes be a bit busy however I've always found a space....people stalking needed at times :-) Frequently used the cafe and the Italian which I find the food to be a good quality. Good range of products that rotates dependent on the season. I do think the outside shops are not great and expensive. Would be better to put full outlast shops such as a mcaurther Glenn. Decent food a day cafe options in the outside section also.
D. P.
Ok for a good day out
J. E.
Love every visit here! Relaxed walk around and of course the shopping!!!! Got some lovely things again!!!
T. P.
Love going to Trentham Garden s it's nice day for look s in the shop s saff are nice and friendly lovely clean shop s and do like pavers for my shoes is nice and clean and staff are very friendly I would go again for me it's good day out
S. F. v. M.
I like this place visually and the Food is Good buy it's a bit on the very expensive place! There's lots of people all around and always busy! The Food Court is always full and is Good value for your meal, but I always see not many people at the tills for the Garden Section! I suppose that's why they only have 2 or 3 tills for such a large place!! All I can say is lower your prices and I'm sure you will make a lot more money!!!
D. P.
Hoorah can now take dogs into coffee lounge.
S. H.
Had a lovely day here. The shops here tend to cater for outdoorsy people and people of an older generation. Great selection of Christmas products in the garden centre and the staff were helpful and friendly. The whole of Trentham Gardens is dog friendly which was great for us.
S. J.
Trentham Gardens and garden centre was very nice. One /two different shops.
The weather stayed nice as well.xc
T. W.
This is a lovely place to visit lots of shops from clothing to candles and trinkets to towels theres something for all wether your buying or just having a leisurely browse. It does get very busy but there's oodles of car parking and it's free. Fancy a coffee or a bite to eat no problems lots to choice from. There is also a great garden centre. Lovely paved walking area so pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
P.
Christmas department is stunning. The singing reindeer must be seen!! My only disappointment today was with the 3D santa sleigh ride..... quite expensive at £5 for a 3 minute ride, we paid and then had a 30 minute wait while the ride was repaired. My goggles steamed up so I didn't get a good view, but my granddaughter and my husband loved it.
T. H.
A beautiful place weather its to walk the dog or the wife 😂 very romantic very nice. A playground for the kids. Shops available with ice cream and just beautiful views. Definitely worth a visit. Don't know if you can have a a picnic but perfect place for one.
T. V.
Very pleasant atmosphere as usual. The makers market was on today which always tend to be good
C. D.
A variety of items from kitchenware, garden ornaments to clothes. The restaurants will suit everyone.
I. S.
We nipped over to Trentham Garden Centre this wet bank holiday Easter Monday. Been before a couple of years ago. As garden centres go, it's a really nice one. You can eat there at the cafe. They sell ornaments for the house and garden. Clothes, shoes, toys, furniture and lots more too. Really nice place.
C. H.
Busy as expected for the time of year, but not over crowded .. all shops practice covid safe rules even if you have to queue a little longer to go in inside.
L. N.
Disappointing really. We went to look for Christmas decorations and gifts. One or two things attracted my attention but were expensive. A lot of it was just tat. Lovely cake in Cafe Bella but they had run out of Earl Grey tea which was not good for my friend who only drinks that. The staff were neither friendly or helpful. On the plus side she did find a lovely dress.
D. W.
Plants are my hobby and I love the variety of indoor plants here. Best garden center for this in the area. Can be a bit pricey though....
d. c.
My first visit today and was very impressed with the largest garden centre I have ever been to. It is well organised with excellent quality home products and amazing Christmas stuff. The outside wooden shops and cafes are also excellent and great variety of products.
J. F.
Great garden centre with many things available from books and clothing to plants and tools. Onsite is situated a coffee shop and close links to the shopping village.
The shopping centre is on the pricey side however that's what you pay for some bespoke items.
C. w.
Our favourite garden centre in the whole world. So much choice and its just the best by far!
N. M.
Over the years we have had many visits to Trentham Gardens and it never disappoints.
Lots of free parking. A huge garden centre, a good choice of often unusual shops and eating places. On top of all that are the actual gardens, with lake and lakeside cafe.
S. E.
What a place, it's got just about everything for the home and garden, great selection. Highly recommend a visit
J.
Good choice of house plants -- although a little pricey. Good day out all in all.
A. B.
Very enjoyable to walk around. Lots of unusual items and a wide choice of plants.
J. P.
We had a brilliant day out with the dog wot a lovely place
P. M.
Great place for a nice steady walk with dog and look in the shops and get something to eat
J. W.
Went to trentam gardens cabins today, lovely place, lots of lovely its and bits shops ,had lunch in one of the cafes , freshly roasted pork by the doorstep, and the best coffee i have had in ages, fantastic, a really enjoyable day
K.
Well worth a visit. Nice shops, good garden centre. Good selection of eateries from ice cream to carvery, pies to Italian. Only the main grounds have an entrance fee, but are lovely, especially in summer.
J. B.
Great place for all your gardening needs. Also great restaurant aswell
a. k.
Some last minute pre Christmas shopping. Very busy and lots of items now half price (especially Christmas decorations). Plants looked rather sad and the irony is that they are keen on promoting plant care!
Worth a visit to find a bargain or last minute Christmas gift.
g. C.
Lots of different products to a standard garden centre, but, more expensive than most and the quality of bedding plants was quite poor. Lots of dry products and lots of empty space
T. T.
Good visitor centre many shops plus large garden centre. Plenty to browse here, a tad expensive though. Not impressed with the cafe though. Soggy filled bread roll and over chilled with a so called salad side consisting of chopped wilted lettuce, nothing else! Will not be using again, a low standard and over priced.
E.
This place is prefect for buying presents, there's everything you could want. Very clean and tidy, everyone was friendly and helpful. Dogs are welcome in all the shops and in the big garden centre as long as you clean up after them
M. P.
What’s not to like great setting. Shopping eating drinking.
H. C.
Gorgeous garden centre with a vast variety of items/ products from cacti to bath bombs... clothing to gift ideas and cards and bespoke art work
...so much to look at but the food court is where my eyes lead me with a fantastic array of delicate bites to stomach bursting mouth watering cakes each around £3.95 ... approx.. eat in or take out
All the staff are polite and very helpful and the centre is very clean
It is wheelchair friendly and suitable for anyone inc.dogs
K. B.
Love trentham and the shops all so very good food 😃
C. J.
Have been going to the Premier Inn on site at Trentham for years with our grandchildren the Gardens are fantastic and the Party in the parks every year are well worth the visit live Tribute bands in the park ... bring your own beers and picnic and chairs great nights
S. H.
Great shop, nice big open space. They have the one way and que system working really well. Love the little shops outside of the garden centre too.
P. S.
Very big if you are a stranger it is difficult to find your way to the exit. Need to put up signs.
J. W.
Lovely peaceful gardens the autumn leaves their colours are fantastic. The Halloween trail for children amazing well done trentham putting stoke on trent on the map
D.
They need a better system at the tills , you have people trying to leave and people wanting to pay and you cannot tell which is which. I know we need to he safe and it's good trentham are doing this but it's a very slow process
a. c.
Great garden centre, lots of excellent items for sale, plants, garden accessories, clothes, furniture and food and drink
L. T.
I grew up a 10min walk away from here. I knew the gardens before Blue Diamond started to operate here. I think the place is good and I enjoy the visits. There is a lot to see, the food is good and I found a lot of good quality products here.
P. P.
Really good range of pots and plants. Worth the extra spend for quality and choice
D. D.
Love this place. So much to see and great shops. Love the garden centre as it had so much choice. Plants and flowers well priced. Great selection of eating places for everyone. Great day out. Thats why i go very regularly.
C. W.
Love the vegetarian breakfast at the restaurant. Make sure you get there before 11:30!
i. h.
A great day out for all can be had at Trentham Gardens. You'll find a fabulous garden centre on site which, at the moment, is a proper Winter Wonderland and this leads on to a beautiful Scandinavian style retail shopping area that has purpose built log cabins that are used as cafes, and outlets for anything from woolens to hand made candles etc.The 'free' car parks are massive and the whole area is 'dog friendly' too. When the weather is good you can also enjoy a couple of hours or so strolling around the famous Trentham Gardens.
T. S.
Wonderful garden centre, situated in Trentham Estate. This huge store is home to all manner of products, such as homeware, floors, decorations, food, toys, garden furniture, and multiple cafes! Staff are friendly and efficient too!
R. O.
Well laid out with plenty of choice. It is a nice place to walk round but it is a tad expensive and some of the product lines can be a bit dated. Cafe's are very nice too but its tricky to get a table and service can get a bit bogged down. All in all... worth a visit.
W. T.
Love garden centres service in cafe poor waited for straw for children that never came not busy plenty staff.
A. W.
Lovely place to visit well set out, plants always look well looked watered and healthy, helpful staff.
P. M.
An "Eye Opening" place to visit. A water feature as you walk in. Gifts galore. Trinkets, Scents, Toiletries, Diffusers, Clothes, Books, even Flowers, the list is almost endless. Well worth a Good Browse. Booming at Christmas, full displays, a treat for the eyes.
N. A.
Lovely place to visit lots of gifts and garden products to see and buy would recommend a visit
R. G.
Part of the trentham shopping village which sells alot more than just garden products. Lovely Cafe and restaurant. Lots of very expensive stuff but there are bargains to be had as well. They do have a loyalty card scheme which is worth joining for special offers and free drinks occasionally. A very popular place
N. B.
Oh my goodness what a fantastic place, it's a superb craft shop, knocks the spots off other garden centres! I found loads to buy! And prices were just above average.. have told my family to make the 300 odd miles trip to visit!
D. F.
I work with ladies and gents who have dementia and today staff and myself visited Trentham gardens and i can honestly say it was the best day trip we have organised . The clients had an absolute fantastic time with easy wheel chair friendly shops and in the italian garden tea room staff where so friendly, accomodating and helpful . The clients enjoyed everything about the day starting with the patient and understanding mini bus driver to the staff on the boat ride . They enjoyed all the different smells in the wonderful candle shop , the scented flowers in the gardens the touch of dogs walking by and the sight of babies and cmall children bought joy to them all . Such an overall friendly accommodating place to visit with wonderfull garden and lake views . Very highly recommended 10/10 . Will be returning next month . Thank you to all the staff that work so hard there to make it a most pleasurable visit
D. F.
Lots of lovely shops. Shame you have pay for tge gardens but there are short walks by the monkey forest that are free
P. M.
Always like going here for a look round and get idea's for our own " little " patch !! Good variety of plants, at reasonable prices !! Coffee shop is nice for a sit down and a chill
G. T.
Brilliant well stocked garden centre and a great restaurant
k. b.
Meet family here for lunch as a halfway point off the M6. Great healthy food and not so healthy food too. Lots of interesting things indoors and out for browsing on a post lunch walk. Lovely friendly staff.
d. p.
A good day despite the weather would recommend a visit
L. H.
Visited the garden centre today, got everything we were looking for. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
T. J.
Wonderful place and gorgeous lunch at Terrazzo del Giardino.
j. p.
Entrance doors shut today at 3.30 pm when 4.00pm was advertised. Lots of customers turned away. Lady manning exit door said the staff wanted to go home which is understandable on Xmas eve but please make this clear that the store will close a 3.30pm to save customers a wasted journey. Lady said she would let people in if they came to the exit door but who knows that. ! She said only three had tried to get in but I saw at least 20 while I was there. Jobs worth. I have no objection to the store closing early but please advertise this correctly.
S. G.
Wonderful place it's just like an Aladins cave 😀
S. C.
Beautiful displays, well priced goods, a good shopping experience.
L. G.
Disappointed. Having been here a year ago it appears to have gone down in standards. Plus someone has decided to make the elderly and those like myself disabled walk right around no short cuts, this is unfair and not at all Wecome. Disabled toilets disgusting.
E. H.
Incredible Garden Centre absolutely huge, has everything you could want! Definitely stop off and have lunch at The Six Arches Restuarent! Friendly staff, incredible food! Egg Benedict was amazing!
T. W.
Fantastic..very festive..beautiful shops.
J. V.
Trentham has just about everything, for a certain age group, my one very big gripe is how very very sexist it is in the clothing area. If you have been I dont need to explain because it shouts out"what about me".In the summer you have wonderfull gardens and monkey area, lovely place to visit.
R. L.
Always a great time visiting the chalets and the indoor shopping. Easy parking massive choice of quality goods and refreshments at competitive prices. First and last place to visit for all your Christmas shopping.
T. M.
Had a lovely morning, got dad his birthday presents, some nice tall house plants .
K. B.
Very nice and friendly staff we had lunch there however I did think the jumped on you as soon as you sat down for what u wanted not enough time to really read the menu but like I say very nice staff . Would go back time and time again
F. B.
The garden centre is very well stocked for gifts or many household gift items as well as clothes, shoes, books, cards, food and also a wide range of outdoor and indoor plants. And also coffee shop and eateries available here. Spoilt for choice. Well worth a visit.
K. T.
Massive!! Very busy. They have some lovely indoor and outdoor items, well worth a visit. Can't wait to go when it's decked out for Christmas!
A. B.
Nice quaint shopping experience. Enjoyable afternoon out.
S.
Packed full of shops, restaurants, and a well stocked garden centre, staff always helpful in the garden centre itself, some items are reasonably priced.. great for that last minute gift, great variety of shops to wander in and out, parking can be a nightmare as always busy.
B. P.
Lovely fry up with my wonderful wife. Great way to start the day! Storm Brian is coming through the day. Bringing winds of power and showers of grace. Have a blessed day everyone! 😎
P. D.
Very happy good food in the restaurant nice staff and good service 😀
P. I.
We placed our order for delivery of plants and received them within a week. Excellent service, healthy plants, and a ray of sunshine delivered to the door. Thank you
A.
At last returned to Trentham so enjoyed also booked two visits to the gardens really looking forward to returning to my walks. Also sad to see were the amount of shops that wont be opening again.
D. H.
Love this place!! Beautiful to walk around, plenty to look at, garden and home. Lovely places to eat or stop for coffee.
L. J.
Wow! Excellent range if products. Lots of plants and gardening supplies. Also gifts, clothing, toys. There is a nice cafe for lunch, coffee and cake. Displays are beautiful.
G. E.
It has a great range of shops and places to eat. My only complaint is that if you go in through the entrance of the main building, you have to walk a long way around to the cafes and toilets which is difficult for those with mobility issues
k. m.
A great place for a day out
H. L.
Last time I went in was at Christmas. It was an awesome sight. Well presented with breathtaking displays. Well worth a day out. They also have a cafe so it’s worth a visit
I. K. M. A.
Nice place for indoor and outdoor decoration items
I. P.
Great, fantastic garden centre well laid out inside and out. Just had fish and chips in the restaurant which was first class and well worth a try if you visit.
J. P.
Lovely atmosphere good coffee and Italian fruit bread gorgeous.
E. K.
Designed to make sure customers can't get to where they need to go directly eg. for books and cards, got to walk right around all the main display areas. Very frustrating. A good selection of merchandise though.
J. M.
Excellent selection of shops, ample parking and the garden centre is good although a little bit over priced! Been a few times now so well worth a visit
R. T.
An amazing place with Great gardens & shops but very busy
M. F.
Much more than a garden centre, plenty of gifts on offer
W. S. L. t. d.
The monkey park was fantastic with very knowledgeable staff. Trentham garden centre was good, well stocked. The Real disappointment was the £12 admission for entry to the gardens themselves. What do Stoke on Trent council think we are idiots ? Never seen or heard anything like it in my life they expect people to pay £12 to walk around a park and lake. Dick Turpin is alive and well.Needless to say we never went in.
I will be contacting the council for a explanation regarding the cost of entry and how they can justify it. When it used to be free
K. H.
Perfect place to treat yourself or others to something unusual and different. Plenty of cafes and restaurants, stores with big names all set in a cabin style environment. Only downside is that it gets very busy so arrive early to park
J. C.
We had a lovely day would recommend a visit to Trentham gardens to anyone especially if you have a dog -this is one of the main reasons why we went there for the day as Trentham allow you to take them-the gardens are also amazing for children as there's such a lot to do-restaurants are also good
F. T.
Always a good place to visit for home snd garden, clothes etc and a relaxing coffee, teas and s good array of food options to share with friends old and new. The staff are very nice the servers and especially the table clearers Phil, Little Jemma and Carol.
Always a good choice of garden requirements in the outside area too.
A. T.
Lovely place to visit
Staff always go above and beyond for the customers
A bit pricey
But they have good sales for those who love a bargain
D. L.
Lovely place with good selection of goods. Good service. Be better when the one way system for covid is removed
A. W.
Loads to see and admire. Bit pricey, but some bargains if you look hard and are the right size!! Loads of choice for food and drink. Great place !!
Z. Q.
Nice day out. Great walking and shopping areas. Very expensive food in some places like the place serving waffles
B. W.
Extremely nice entrance with water feature as you walk in the modern building. All sorts of plants, clothes, furniture, books, ect. Next to the trentham gardens which is beautiful to walk around with views of the lake and a shopping village.
S. P.
A great place to visit .... Loads of specialist shops to choose from .... Cafes and restaurants are all fantastic .... Enter into the gardens themselves and keep the children happy looking for the fairies and playing in the park .... Take a picnic and sit by the lake ... Take a ride on the train or the steam boat .... Hours of fun can be had at this gem of Staffordshire ....
W. M.
The garden centre was great, could have stayed all day, bought a really beautiful jumper, I will be going back to get the perfect cardi that Is saw while I was there,
s. k.
I visit on regular basis and always have good choice of most things but have noticed how expensive things are. Prices for food especially not value for money. Need more variety at lower prices rather than just soup or baked potatoes.
J. T.
small queue to get in but very well organised inside and out, got what we wanted. Was nice to get out and do something normal on our day off
M. E.
Called in for look round, be cautious of too many people in one area
Had breakfast, limited menu due to table service, bacon was awfully tough chewy
Staff were lovely,
S. H. (.
Great range of individual shops in cabins including crafts. A lovely large garden centre with plenty to choose from. Several cafes and restaurants. Entrance to Trentham Gardens for a small fee.
B. L.
Great bargain. Wide range of gift ware and nice food. seems aimed at older people to while away the days. I like it
J. Y.
Lovely day out shopping in the garden centre and outside shops. Plenty of walking but places to sit.
K. J.
Not bad but it has so much non-gardening stuff that the term garden centre becomes questionable.
A. L.
Food is good, staff very friendly and a large selection of products to choose from. Great for gifts for birthdays etc Garden Centre at the rear is always well presented
S. W.
Plenty of choice in some unusual interesting shops. A nice change from "same old ..." in chain stores. Flat and lots of seating and coffee/food stops. Free parking on adjacent car park
D. j.
Lovely garden centre staff are so nice and gardens are lovely to walk round and have good selection of things to buy
S. W.
Always a lovely day out, had lunch at the Willow fabulous.
S. F.
Beautiful. Lots of unusual Christmas decorations.
J. W.
Fantastic range of items for both home and garden. Best tasting sandwiches and cakes if you try the afternoon tea. And so many Christmas decorations available in winter.
D. B.
Always a pleasure to meet up and eat
J. A. W.
Beautiful Christmas ideas. Beautifully decorated . Spoilt for choice
m. c.
With so many amazing national trusts I really can't recommend spending £40 for a family of four to go here. It's a nice place but really not worth the money.
D. H.
Love this place , lovely little gift shops, amazing garden center. Very helpful staff lots of choice.
p. g.
All depends on your income I'm afraid too expensive They had beautiful thing's at mega prices
K. S.
It's always a pleasure to walk around the garden centre just for fun. If you're looking for a present for someone then the centre is a great option. You can guarantee the products in here are all good quality.
C. A.
Good all round choice of shops, plenty of places to eat and refuel if your still fill of energy take a walk around the gardens and lake, buisy at weekends plenty of free parking.
D. F.
If you've been here before..there's not a lot of change shop wise...but ok if you haven't...
K. B.
Great variety of shops nice too walk around
A. C.
Really pretty set up inside, variety of gifts to buy, different cafes and restaurants inside too.
Clean and tidy and Not overly expensive either!
A. F.
