Reviews of Dobbies Garden Centre Telford
M. W.
This was fairly busy but still plenty of disabled parking available. Fortunately I was in my wheelchair as the spaces we were in were some distance from the entrance. There is a fairly wide range of products and even a Sainsbury Local in store. However, I wanted cushions for garden chairs and could only find a few scatter cushions. The restaurant has undergone a transformation since our last visit, with new seating and an at-table service, which was efficient and friendly. We used the 'free drinks' with our Dobbies' membership plus drinks and snacks for the kids. This place is wheelchair friendly, all on one level. Not as large as many Garden Centres so lacks some variety. If I wasn't in my wheelchair though, I'd still struggle to get around as there are a lack of seats for people to rest.
S. O.
With plenty of parking, the Centre is well laid out with a good range of plants & everything you need for the garden. The restaurant is very spacious with a selection of food to suit everyone. Sainsbury's Express shop in store which is handy.
C. M.
Had lunch today, Wed 7th Sept. Cafe very busy, but staff were attentive as usual, particularly the supervisor Emily, very kind & friendly. Nice food, coffee & atmosphere. We ordered the tasty fish, chips & mushy peas & macaroni cheese, plus cake.
K. W.
Nice big garden centre with a huge restaurant. Good friendly staff and plenty of choice with a mini Sainsbury's. The farm shop is amazing and if you need to sell your whilst your there, we buy any car is there to.
H. L.
Had 3 different types of cake- lemon cake, raspberry ripple cake and scone with cream- all were quite dry. This was 11am so cakes must have been there for some time. Go to Dobbies Telford regularly and the staff in the restaurant always very pleasant and helpful
S. G.
Visited today with a friend who treated me to afternoon tea - best we have had anywhere - lovely & fresh, tasty & plentiful. Staff attentive & friendly although busy.
Would highly recommend 👌
S. D.
Good selection of plants, some a little expensive, but half price sale on when we visited, so got some bargains. Nice selection of Siku toys, and these are reasonably priced = one happy four year old!
I. W.
Lovely cafe, excellent service. The cafe staff are really efficient and friendly, nothing seems like too much trouble. Even when busy feels very calm and organised.
A. N.
It was a well stocked garden centre, but the atmosphere was not as attractive as some garden centres we have visited, bit more like a warehouse, lighting was a bit sparse.
C. L.
A superbly presented garden centre that is clearly cared for and liked after very well by all the local staff. Plants are in excellent condition and all products are easy to find. Lovely cafe which can get busy at times. Highly recommend a visit.
S. W.
We had an afternoon tea here, the sandwiches were lovely and a great selection of cakes. Even had to ask to take some home as too much for one to eat. Would definitely go again.
D. B.
Went to Santa Grotto , first time here lovely place, with cafe and a little sainsburys .
A. E.
Good range plants indoor and outdoor. Nice Cafe onsite. Other small shops within, Sainsbury Peacocks etc; staff polite and friendly, will help to carry items to your car. Loyalty scheme. Would recommend a visit.
C. B.
Went for lunch with family, service I feel could of been better, given bunch of napkins and cutlery, waitress not aware of soup of dat, crockery not cleared till we left the table nobody came over to see if we needed anything further. Meal itself not impress, side salad was limp and drowned with dressing. Wouldn't plan to go again
j. b.
You can easily spend half a day here browsing food, garden equipment and household items. The restaurant is always busy but I haven't ever had an issue with service.
L. D.
Used to work here when it was wyevale. Can't say it's the best company to work for but the team was great!.
I do pop in for the occasional houseplant or gardening items. 👍
S. E.
Visited this garden centre as they have a Pavers shoe shop there. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We also decided to use the cafe, where the service was excellent. Our meal was a bit pricey but enjoyable.
P. R.
Well stocked garden centre , with Sainsbury’s located in there
No clothing shops there now
Good place for eating
k. v.
Very happy to deal with them much better than the old company, much better layout, regards Keith Vernal.
A. R.
Dobbies Telford in general is a good place to shop for plants, shrubs, gifts, cards etc.
However the coffee shop/ restaurant was a complete let down with a long wait and very understaffed on a busy weekend.
We waited 45 minutes for a breakfast which turned out to be incomplete, badly presented and barely warm.
It spoilt my whole experience of being in a good garden centre environment.
They need to do better.
D. B.
The food ares was very busy with people eating. They have a good range of none plant stuff for sale. We bought a birthday 🎂 card and a box of candles plus a few plants. Its different but well worth a visit!
A. W.
Nice garden centre with plenty of choice and the prices for there plants are not to bad
D. S.
If I could rate differently based on quality vs price I’d go high for quality but low for price, and not in a good way! I’m always willing and happy to pay for good quality, but this place really has higher prices than anywhere else I’ve found.
K. B.
Lovely staff, great place to visit, loses a star because the prices are a bit steep.
There is a café, small soft play area, a pet shop, and a couple of clothing areas, as well as the usual gardening equipment, plants and a small Sainsbury's on-site. Also around the back is Greenfields which although not cheap, does have a great selection of fruits, veg, meats, etc
M. G.
Very large garden centre and includes a Sainsbury supermarket. Large selection of goods, with above average pricing, based on some equivalents from Aldi and Lidl such as lawn scarifiers etc.
P. T.
Couldn't believe the price of items. Shows I haven't been out for a couple of years. Lots of quality items nicely laid out, but sorry so expensive.
E. S.
I love going here, reasonable prices and plenty to look at, and have a nice coffee and cake.
v. s.
Clean, polite staff, food was delicious
Would definitely recommend
R. ..
Friendly staff, reasonable prices. However, you can't swap items on the breakfast unless you want to pay more. You can take items away from it but they won't put you something extra instead without charging.
Little indoor play area for kids when eating.
In the shopping area there are quality items but most have inflated prices to reflect this.
M. P.
We all ways whent Shrewsbury store but have started to use this local store now and have been very pleased
H. C.
My review is purely based on the Santa's Grotto Christmas 2021. We wasn't expecting much in regards to the Santa himself, however he was absolutely perfect. A Friendly, Jolly, Chatty gentleman with a real white beard. No fake cotton wool like thing attached around his ears or a pillow up his jumper. I would go as far as to say he could quite possibly of been the real Santa himself. Thank you Dobbies for getting the perfect man for the job. We paid for three children age 3,5 and 12. When pre-booking you give the children's ages so they get age appropriate QUALITY gift's (which we didn't even want but couldn't opt out of, we only wanted to see Santa, I think this should be an option.). Unfortunately this wasn't the case. They all received the same thing which was not what I'd class as quality at all, just something you would find in a pound shop. So the gift side was very poor and disappointing, however the Santa made up for it luckily.
S. B.
Shop well stocked ,had a small breakfast not overly impressed l.presentaion wasn't good ,the lady taking the orders was pleasant.
A. S.
Lovely shop. Slightly smaller than the Shrewsbury, but has a nice Sainsbury's attached. Paver shoe assistant Linda was extremely helpful
M. B.
Good variety, and I do like the Sainsbury’s concession in store, it’s so nice to have one closer than Telford. When I first went in here a few Sunday’s ago, we were picking up a few bits and having a browse of the reduced items, some were behind other items. My friend and I were rudely told by staff that they were for someone else, with little explanation. The tone and attitude from the staff member Julie was really uncalled for. When I said it wasn’t clear that they were reserved as they weren’t in bags, we received even more attitude.
In summary this shop has a good range of products both in Sainsbury’s and the main Dobbies, but some staff need to sort out their attitude towards customers.
D. L.
Easy to access with free parking. Includes pavers shoes and a sainsbury
C. R.
Good food and fair prices..kids play area ia but but small but grandson still fell asleep on the way home . All in all a good afternoon out
S. P.
Very nice garden centre expecially when some plants are reduced
E. L.
Called in for a stroll round & lunch, with my Mum. We were both disappointed that all the fashion outlets have disappeared! Unfortunately we felt the whole atmosphere of the place had completely changed and not for the better!
J. N.
Decent chain garden centre. Not terrible, nothing special
S.
Lovely selection of plants and pots for indoor and outdoor. They stock a small selection of David Austin roses, which is what I went to look at. You'll find all your general gardening needs and extras. Is a little bit pricier than some other places but I'd say the quality is higher.
C. B.
Good quality plants today, very tempting.....
Wanted some compost but think it was expensive
m. w.
We ate in the restaurant food was hot & tasty but there was a bit of wait even though we ordered same time as the other people on the table unfortunately they'd finished when we were served
I. M.
Easy parking. Good choice of plants a little on the expensive side. Clean cafe.
P. U.
Breakfast in the cafe here is disappointing. Portions are small, egg like rubber and it is impossible to swap one item for another without being charged £1 extra.
Coffee is good and cleaning and spacing seem effective with most, not all, of the staff masked.
British Garden Centres at Wolsey Bridge better quality, portions and less greedy.
R. B.
Do a good breakfast here, service good and coffee always nice and hot
C. B.
Got some lovely herbs and alpines and new trainers at the same time!
P. S.
Really liked and enjoyed our visit, hot chocolate and a slice of carrot cake in the cafe, spacious place to shop with everything to offer, play area for the tots to unwind, its amazing to have a look around and not just the gardeners
p. B.
The supermarket side of the business is very expensive with massive mark ups. Their wines are on average £2 more expensive than your average supermarket.
Plants where reasonably priced and very good quality.
Phil
N. C.
Good garden centre with an excellent range of plants and goods to buy. They now have a Sainsburys on site. You can pay for garden centre goods with shopping. Very useful.
L. M.
I go to Dobbies at Telford at least once or twice a month. Lovely selection of plants always get more than I intend to. Nice breakfast in the cafe although staff were slow to bring my cutlery.
K. W.
Typical Dobbies well organized and stocked, nice cafe and helpful staff
D. M.
Nice place, cafe is always busy
L. T.
We had a great breakfast there was 6 adults and 3 kids lovely service from staff .Nice to see the plates were hot as was the breakfast couldnt fault it .The store is starting to look better will definitely go again 🙂
J. K.
Clean store all on level good choice for most things at reasonable prices nice café too The café now is much bigger now with a excellent choice for all tastes from all day breakfast to afternoon teas well worth giving it a try.still worth visiting if in the area
G. B.
Great selection of plants lovely staff
A. G.
The store is looking really good since being took over by Dobbies, the quality of the plants are good and layer out really well and seems to be much more choice, some things seem to be a bit pricey, others reasonably priced. The manager of the outside section was very helpful, knowledgable and patient.
K. K. M.
It's a fantastic place and are observing Covid rules, my burger took long to be brought to me and my extra pot of tea didn't make it to the table, despite the fact that it was busy staff still managed to provide good service with a smile. The food was nice and fresh, keep it up team👏👏👏
J. N.
A few weeks ago we visited Dobbies garden centre in Telford looking for garden furniture, we were assisted by Darren who was most helpful and gave us good advice on what we required. We were promised delivery on the 15th July and sure enough it arrived today and looks great in our garden. We returned today looking for a parasol and again we asked for Darren and although none in stock he was more than willing to dismantle the one on display. We can't thank Darren and all the team at Dobbies enough ,they are all so friendly and helpful, would definitely return for any future purchases.
Many thanks John Newnes.
T. J.
Very cheerful friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Had my compost taken to the car and put in the boot by a very cheerful young man a credit to the store. Popped into cafe to be greeted again by very friendly staff and the cleaning of tables between customers outstanding. Well done Telford Dobbies my go to garden centre.
P. D.
Just want to leave a big shout out for Emily in the restaurant. What a lovely genuine person. She is always busy but always manages to make you feel very welcome
A. S.
First day back after being in lockdown, yet they weren't able to provide any scones! I would have thought that everything would have been available. Had to wait a long time for our drinks and my hot chocolate had lumps in the bottom and on the sides..... hadn't been prepared properly. Not very impressive.
A. S.
Love my local Dobbies. Being a coffee plus member is so good whether you fancy a cuppa & cake or a catch up with your friends everyone is so happy to help wherever you are in store
M. S.
Absolutely first rate garden centre. Plants, bulbs, seeds, garden tools, and more for the dedicated or new gardener. Plus friendly, expert advice. They sell a lovely range of foods and beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. They also have a fantastic restaurant with a proper traditional roast dinner on Sundays. A great range of books to buy, plus several concessions selling a wide range of outdoor clothing and more. Plus a pet shop, too.
J. G.
Lovely spacious and well presented store. Good car parking. Friendly staff, nice cafe.
a. e.
Good food very pleasant and helpful staff and enjoy walking around at all different displays and plants etc
A.
Excellent pet store, with staff who are genuinely interested, and care
T. E.
Stopped here for lunch. Well organised, shown to a table and given clear instructions on how to order. Plenty of space between the tables and I saw all tables were thoroughly cleaned as soon as they were vacated. We ordered a cooked lunch, service was a bit slow but we were expecting that as they had only recently reopened after lockdown. The food was fine and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I. D.
Good location. Garden Products range has lmproved in recent times. The Food offering has taken over from the Garden Centre .
We visited the Greenfield Farm shop on site that is the "Jewel in the Crown " on this site
R. C.
Thank you to all the ladies who made my friends birthday afternoon tea very special, you are all so lovely each and every time I come, you always go out of your way and put a smile on everyone’s faces. I highly recommend Dobbies and the lovely food and Yummy cakes. I will be booking afternoon tea for Mother’s Day for sure, especially after trying the vegan option, it’s amazing, and have to say with the customer service you receive, the friendly environment, and the delicious treats it’s absolutely value for money 😊👍
J. K.
Had a lovely meal with the family. Service was quick, staff was friendly and food was nice.
L. F.
Great place for a long awaited catch up with an amazing friend. We used the restaurant had a lovely coffee the service was top class .
R. B.
The garden centre was a good experience all be it there was a small queue of people. However the queue moved pretty quickly and only waited for around one or two minutes. When you get inside it was beautifully layed out and it had a good variety of plants to choose from. It also had a café - all be it closed due to the covid-19 pandemic. It also had a pet coner, Peacocks, kitchenwares, kid's toys books and a lot more. Even though the experience was a good one the prices were a bit on the dear (expensive) side but the quality of the products probably made up for the price. Overall the garden centre had more variety of plants and other items. If the café was opened then you could have made a day or half day out of it.
T. R.
Went for tea and cake and the cake was lovely and moist, will definitely have that again if it's there.
B. T.
Great, helpful and really kind staff!! Would come again!!
Z. B.
Large array of regatta clothing and shoes, including sketchers, majority of garden stuff seemed quite expensive, I know it was just after lockdown, but plants did seem rather disheveled, not too healthy but none reduced, and all a bit grubby looking.. The staff were very friendly 🙂. The cafe area was closed (thought it would be) I was allowed to handle things around the store though. I paid £19.99 for a reasonably sized Agapanthus and £8.99 for some Festuca Glauca grass
A. E.
Would have given Dobbies 5 stars apart from the following small gripe.
The bags of compost etc. were stacked outside of what would have been the accepted entrance pre Covid. There are no trolleys kept in this area at present. Previously there would have been.
So customers are now expected to enter the building via the recommended door, collect a trolley from the allotted space, take this to collect any compost or whatever. Then re-enter the building and proceed to a check out.
How tedious?
Why not move the bags to just outside the door now used for entry?
Other than this, could not recommend Dobbies highly enough.
r. t.
My Wife and I had a delightful Breakfast, the staff were very friendly also. We also browsed the plant selection which was full of beautiful bedding plants at reasonable prices.
K. S.
Helpful cafe staff
Soft play quite good
Unbelievable value with Dobbies catd
S. D.
Lovely lunch in the restaurant but my shopping experience was bizarre. Chose some slippers in Pavers and was allowed to try them on. Saw a coat I liked in Bon Marché and was told "No madam, you cannot try it on." As I am visiting from Coventry I didn't buy as I don't want to find a pricey item doesn't fit when I get home. ☹
G. O.
Went for a coffee. Still have to wait to be seated and table service only. Very well organised and not too busy but getting busier.
G. W.
Always have a great range of plants and garden related products. Also have lots for inside the house, but the shop is over priced on lots of items.
V. C.
No compost, no bedding/hanging or small plants. What was there was seriously over priced. 1st time back since Dobbies took overkx. Much preferred it as a Wyvale. I know they weren't the cheapest either but as a garden club member u were able to make huge savings on multi buys. Unfortunately Dobbies doesn't do deals according to the staff today.
Only good thing was the staff, they were welcoming and friendly. But despite that I wont be going back.
J. O.
Nice centre, would have liked a bigger indoor plant area - the indoor plant section is far too close to the checkouts and makes browsing difficult with covid restrictions of 2 metre in place.
A. W.
Dobbies Garden Centes Telford is fantastic 👌 good thing's 👋
M. G.
A well stocked garden center, all the usual things available for your garden. Some prices seemed a bit on the high side compared with other sites.
The restaurant is now open with socially distancing in place.
M. L.
Great garden centre with plenty of choice. Service was fantastic here and as a novice garden the advise and information I was given was excellent, in particular from staff member Karen.
s. l.
We had to pick up 4 heavy bags of garden bark a member of staff helped us load the car up so helpful
T. R.
Didn't give 5 stars today as service was shocking very long queue for checkout only 1 till open it wasn't a very good experience
H. T.
A good garden centre with some great facilities at present. The addition of a sainsbury's on the go which they are currently building in the fomer peacocks floorspace will be handy.
As I write this (covid times), good practices for prevention are in place such as screens and sanitizer stations. Would also recommend visiting the greenfields farmshop next door 👍
A. G.
Nice place to visit. Cafe is really good and staff are lovely. Plants a bit pricey
p. b.
Excellent place for mothers day quick shop a few little bit and good prices
R. S.
Absolutely amazing service and lovely place to shop. Breakfast with santa was perfect
J. M.
A well run vegetable shop and very pleasant and hard working staff.
K. V. J.
Good selection of gardening and clothing items with little shops inside. Good free parking with lots of spaces, when I went lots of good offers and a pleasant experience
m. S.
Great place to visit, staff very helpful. Food good and a good selection and reasonably priced.
s.
Lovely afternoon tea. Some people might be upset by the birds flying overhead and dropping by for crumbs though.
A. C.
As a frequent visitor here, I cannot recommend the place enough. With Sainsburys opening inside too, it has really become a one-stop shop!
S. D.
Now it's changed to Dobbies, and has been for a couple of years, to me it seems that everything has shot up in price, plants in particular, an example a Christmas tree with roots and only maybe 3ft tall was £45 ....and in the gift sections stuff that may have been £9.99 last year seem to be £19.99 this year...I certainly shant be buying much from here...not a value for money place.
T. S.
Majority of indoor area seems to be a Sainsbury's supermarket and cafe. It cold so didn't spend any time outside.
i. g.
Good service and kept nice and clean , food is very good . Recommend the fish 'n' chips
M. P.
Great place where to buy garden equipment and garden plants
K. g.
Cafe was lovely, good food and good service , go here often and usualy find what we want, service is great
M. F.
Nice place to spend a couple of hours,a bit expensive tho
D. S.
Nice place to visit with small childrens play area, restaurant a little over priced in my opinion
S. C.
Shop very nice , had lunch in their cafe, chips cold and my husband ordered a bacon and brie and cranberry toasted sandwich no cranberry but the assistant changed the whole meal and everything was as ordered and the chips slightly hotter,,
D. B.
The cafe has now reopened which is great news. Peacocks has now been replaced by Sainsbury's within store too.
T. S.
Friendly staff and a well stocked store, quiet a few disabled parking spaces with easy level access into the actual garden centre via a wide automatic entry system, full tarmac hard standing outside area with gentle ramps with automatic doors leading into the main section, inside there are various clothing sections as well as a pet section and Cafe, the whole store is Dog friendly and there's a section in the cafe to sit with your pets.
D. P.
Nice place well laid out selling all you could need for the garden from various composts and soil to a wide range of plants and garden furniture even has a pond section with pre formed pond liners for sale in various sizes also strangely sells kitchen stuff like kettles and toasters plates and cups and a clothing section selling coats and shirts etc is a bit on the expensive side but well worth a look if only for a bit of garden inspiration
C. A. T.
Great visit, food delicious.
H. C.
Will probably give it a 5 when I go to the store in Person! I was a bit Disappointed as I phoned up to ask about an item that I wanted in the store, And l waited at least 5 mins or more and no one answered the phone so I gave up.
J. E.
So pleasant the restaurant staff
L. B.
Great selection of seed potatoes and soil additives. Sainsbury's outlet also had plenty to offer.
J. B.
always enjoy my visit here. wish they had more choice in gluten free meals and snacks. happy to have s plate of gf chips .
E. J.
Went inbetween Christmas and New Year, very busy but not a lot on the shelves. Peacocks and Bonmarche are both instore so really handy if you're a woman and clothes shopping
C. W.
Just had a lovely vegetarian breakfast, although hubby says his meat bacon and sausages were dry. Had a nice wander around the plants and Pavers boots.
w. s.
Didn't know Dobbies had taken over from wyevale nurseries but still a great place to shop for gardening items ect. Even joined there members club and got a good saving as well of 20% on the items we purchased.
J. K.
The coafe has been rearranged with more space around the tables. Clear signs, and separate entrance and exit. As always, friendly helpful staff.
S. A.
Lovely big place. Only problem is I could spend thousands in here, there's so much and now they have a Sainsbury's in there too.
S. T.
Food good ,staff very pleasant
S. S.
Lovely afternoon tea, very helpful staff who, when heard that it was a birthday treat , put tablecloths on the table and went out of their way to look after the family group. Thank you!
W. P.
Suspiciously good Christmas trees at good prices.
N. H.
Didn't see Dobbie, expect he was visiting Hogwarts.
K. J.
We have visited Dobbies today for the first time under social distancing!! Well organised & the shop & plant areas were presented very well (outside was good considering these winds!). Every staff member we had contact with were very polite & helpful. Will definitely recommend & visit again.
L. M.
We went there since it has a fair choice of indoor plants that you will not find elsewhere.
It is a little bit expensive and that is why I will not give 5 stars
S. W.
We went for the Easter Bunny breakfast, the staff where amazing and super helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice Easter treat for the kids
E. J.
Great choice of plants. It has a well stocked pet centre and now a Sainsbury, all under one roof.
L. H.
All covid rules in place, restaurant well spaced out and tables sanitised after each use.
M. J.
Really lovely garden centre with everything you can see and appreciate
P. R.
Getting better stock levels now after a tough year for everyone.
Good friendly staff as well.
E. M.
Very good farm shop, bought some lovely dirty carrots.
F. A.
This garden centre has a lovely feel to it and good restaurant facilities, and plenty of parking.
There is also a good selection of concessions, including Pavers shoes, which is currently not on the G Centre web site (needs updating please!!).
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit!!
J. E. n. T.
Same place as restaurant as it's a Garden Centre. The place looked as though it needed a good soaking. Plants did NOT look like you wanted to buy them.
j. s.
Restaurant doing all they can to make it safe for their customers a lot of hard work gone into this for our safety well done Nina also saw Daren going out of his way to help his customers there is a good team at doddies and it's a pleasure to meet up with staff and have a laugh and joke even when they are so busy well done you give 100% care needless to say Meko thinks so too
F. R.
Roads are a bit rough but inside is a nice place with several small shops
C. W.
Still good value in the restaurant, but no chef so no meal available.and poor staff run off their feet trying to do everything COVID SAFE
L. M.
More signage needed of where to find items, it's all a bit haphazard. Some airflow in the building would be nice, felt very stuffy.
C. B.
Lovely place, nice plants. Very over priced but managed to get a couple of bargains.
P. R.
Everything you need for your garden
C. T.
Excellent garden centre great prices in cafe and Kids area top value
M. B.
Nice garden centre, restaurant leave a lot to do desired, staff quite abrupt and and not particularly welcoming and eating area has the atmosphere of an untidy school dinner hall.
c. w.
Went to get compost and a few plant pots .got some new walking boots .and my wife got some nice shoes from pavers very nice .only went for compst really nice garden center.
L. F.
Good garden center staff are quality which probably bumps this from a 3 to a 4.
J. a.
Nice cafe but no nice views or outside eating area - would visit more often if I could sit outside in the summer or had a windfow to look out of... has a small soft play. usual concessions inside such as regatta, pavers. The rewards scheme was much better when it was Wyvedale . I don't get many offers or points now
D. C.
not to keen personally. not the best prices and not great food
y. s.
Garden centre lovely and clean and well stocked. However the cafe is very different. The staff are very sullen and talk in mumbling whispers. Never getting a smile and as for the latte the milk tasted burnt
A. B.
Visited to buy a none-gardening gift but the range of items was disappointing.
d. d.
Nice place with top quality plants
C. E.
Lovely garden centre. Loads of choice of plants. Staff were all very helpful
J. H.
Love going here. Pavers shop is a big bonus to, well looked after by staff, very helpful by Julie.
a. b.
Fast service seated quickly used my club card so drinks where free so made it even better
B. S.

A good garden centre with a good choice of healthy plants and trees that will meet the needs of most if not all gardens. One step down from going to a full nursery.

I have been to the garden center twice now and myself and my wife found it too be very disabled person friendly, we both use 2 small scooters and found access very good, the staff are very helpful putting shopping in to our car for us they have a nice restaurant , the aquatic center is very impressive with plenty of tropical and cold water fish for sale.

J. E.
Clean. Tidy a wide range of healthy flowers but slightly rude staff on till
H. C.
A Wyevale garden centre with everything you would expect from them. A good selection of plants and accessories. We didn't think the food in the café was as good as the Rugeley and Bridgemere branches. The site also has branches of Bon Marché and Peacocks.
a. n.
Very disappointed! No staff out side to help/assist - when I asked for the price of book/build a skeleton etc it had £3 off but no price - when I asked a member of staff she asked me to fetch it - from 2/3rds up the store!! She would price it at the till. I said it is not my job and she said she was on the till - there appeared to be no other staff in side either.
When going to pay for some pots from outside which were not priced but had £4.99 under the row - turned out to be £8.99 for a common large plastic pot!! Shocked at some prices and disappointed - not impressed with prices in cafe' either.
D. W.

Still CLOSED , the rest of the Dobbies centre reopened on 13 May 2020 but at present the restaurant and play area are remaining closed.
A nice open restaurant at the far end of the inside of the Dobbies Garden Centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a little more expensive than some places but it is a good place to meet and socialise. Quite often offers are available to those who have a Dobbies members card. An enclosed play area is available for parents who want to give there small children some exercise!
The restaurant seating is now extended to a small four table area by the way into the main restaurant which is set up for people who have dogs with them . A nice idea !

Went for breakfast with my wife and had the small plate breakfast my wife had brown toast and a fried egg(for which she paid a pound) with a pot of tea for two(£4.20) it all came to £11,odd. Food reasonable standard but don't know why 2 teas cost more than a breakfast (£3.95) you can workout the cost of toast , over priced ?
