Glenn Humphries Landscaping Ltd has transformed our small front garden into a beautiful paved area, suggesting and supplying various samples of stone to choose from which blend wonderfully with the house. They took account of the slope of the land ensuring that drainage was considered fully so as not to have run-off into our neighbour's garden. He and his team worked methodically and left a clean and tidy site at the end of every day. Glenn and his team were professional, friendly, approachable and took the time to listen to our wishes and answer all our queries. We cannot recommend them highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

I contacted Glyn Humphries' firm - I was unknown to him, though I had heard of his firm by repute. We had had three willows blow down in the March gales, and I needed the stumps removed. Glyn was extremely straightforward, amd as good as his word. immediately he explained that he was booked up for weeks ahead - though could possibly arrange for a couple of his men to come on a Saturday in a month's time. In the interim, we exchanged photographs of the site, and several messages - promptly. The stump clearance happened today - Glyn arrived with his colleagues Richard and Shane - and a stump grinder, pick axe and chain saw. They made it look easy, but I know it wasn't. I am very grateful to this team. I would recommend this firm.

I loved working with Glen and his team. Once on site, they were fully focused on the mammoth task of soil removal, grading and then bringing the landscape to life. They have taken a stunning new build and enhanced it with wild flower areas, beautifully constructed patios, gorgeous cornish hedges and decking spaces, driveway paving and sympathetic planting across the entire plot. The planting areas are superb and will mature beautifully with in the Cornish sun. The team were respectful and simply couldn't do enough to enhance to landscape and create a specular feature unsurpassed in the entire village. They did a really thorough and efficient job of removing several massive clumps of bamboo (that other contractors had promised to deal with and had failed to do so), and left the site immaculate. We researched local landscapers through talking to people and asking for recommendations. Every time one name always came to the top, Glenn Humphries. We wanted a company who were reliable and could not only complete our project but also offer aftercare for our garden. After an initial discussion about the garden plan , Glenn came and did a site survey and followed up with a clear quotation for the whole job. We were set to go! Team Humphries arrived as promised and on time and set to. The group of lads ,Steve,Jake and Frankie, worked really hard in some challenging weather conditions, their good humour never failing. The day before Christmas they turned up with Christmas hats on which made us laugh as well keeping them warm in zero degree temperatures. They were keen at all stages to ensure that we were happy with everything they'd done that day and were happy to make any minor adjustments that were required. They also cleaned up well too. Glenn's indepth plant knowledge meant that our trip to the nursery to choose the plants was really interesting and we came away with choices that we would never have previously considered and when planted looked fabulous. The result is a delightful garden with which we are really pleased and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone considering having their garden done.

Glen came round with ideas to enhance a very sloping garden with drystone walling and granite edged flowerbeds. The work was carried out to a very high standard by Ashley and Josh. We are very pleased with the finished results. Update 09.01.21 Our garden had quite a slope on it and we wanted to have an level area where we could enjoy the sun. We asked Glenn to come round to give us some ideas of what was achievable. It involved part digging out and part building up. They always arrive on time and take all the garden refuse away with them to recycle . They have also done work on my neighbours property including rebuilding a wall between our properties . We asked Glenn Humphries Landscaping to quote for the garden design that had been drafted in outline by a local garden designer. We chose GHL on the basis of recommendation after checking with some of their clients. We have not been disappointed! The work was undertaken in a thoroughly professional manner, and to a very high standard. Our garden was created from a former grass paddock, and the work was completed on time, and fully in accordance with the amended brief . The result was absolutely stunning. The installation team (lead by Richard) arrived on site on time every day, and worked extremely hard the whole fortnight they were on site. They are such a caring workforce, and obviously love their jobs. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and we were especially impressed at how they tidied the site at the end of every working day. We have awarded GHL 5 stars, but they really deserve double that score! We would certainly recommend them highly. We cannot thank them enough for creating for us the garden we have always dreamt of.

Glenn and his team completed a 3+ months domestic project during one of the wettest 4 months on record from November 2019 to February 2020. The house is in Central Truro on a steep slope, some being 1 in 3 inclines and a side incline, which meant adjacent properties’ gardens were above and below. The front & back gardens had received no attention for many years. The works included removing all plants, bushes, broken patios & fencing. New fencing with concrete foundations and protecting physical boundaries were built. The rear garden was laid out on 5 levels with 6 sets of dry stonewalls holding each level. A ground level trampoline was installed and artificial turf area with a basketball hoop. A new patio was laid. 12 trees were planted along with many ground cover plants and shrubs in 3 borders. Turf was laid on 4 linking levels. The front garden had a parking area extended with retaining wall. All debris was taken off site including tons of excess soil. The team varied from 2 to 5 working through extremely difficult weather creating arduous muddy and slippery conditions. Each member of the team was positive and worked hard throughout the project. The team have high groundworks competence and horticultural knowledge At each stage we discussed different ways forward and agreed solutions. The result is of a very high standard. Two of Glenn's staff, Richard and Steve arrived at 8.30, as arranged, to remove an ugly Leylandii hedge from our garden. From the start, we felt confident that these very polite and courteous gentlemen would do a good job. We were right. They removed and chipped everything and spent some time tidying up, raking the lawn, brushing the path and drive so that they left things even cleaner than they were before. This is the fourth time we have used Glenn and his team and as always the work has been carried out to a very high standard. This time was to clear an overgrown un-used area of the garden into a vegetable area complete with raised beds and a chicken run; remove and replace a garden path and replant a flower bed. Even though I added some extra work in to the schedule, including digging out an area for a new potting shed and having a new beautiful dry stone wall built, they never complained. They even carefully dug out plants that could be used elsewhere in the garden. In the past we have used Glenn for new fencing and field clearing and maintenance. It now complements the excellent job Nigel and his team did last October in pruning our pleached lime trees. Having worked with GHL's tree surgeons for several years, I asked Glenn to price and advice on the design of a terrace for a tourist development near Newquay. He recommended that the walling for the terrace should be a Cornish hedge given the potential land slippage....if I gone ahead with my original plan I would have been likely to have cracks where the land might drop / slip. The beauty of a Cornish hedge is that it move naturally with any subsidence. This all made sense so I appointed him to lay the terrace and construct the hedge ....the result is fabulous.... good advice originally and excellent execution...GHL's workers were diligent, skilful, and respectful at all times.
