Reviews of Worcester Garden Centre

Far calmer than Webbs ... mostly.
Get there on opening g times if you need a parent and child space as for somewhere with a Soft Play, there are precious little of those.
The outdoor plant selection is beautifully laid out, calm, and a pleasure to be in.
John Jo and Georgia are the experts here, ask them anything about gardening and they can help you for sure.
So why not 5 Stars?
Scarcity of Parent and Child car park spaces aside, it's the indoor retail section that is such a stark contrast to the peace outside.
🛑 you'll be greeted and then have to run the gauntlet of a dozen different screens, all babbling at you simultaneously about how the product beneath the screens is the best thing ever. Its an awful cacophony of sound that's torture to your ears and mind. This and the narrow constrictive paths between them just make you want to run, RUN! ... until you are away from them!
Edit
Thank you to the owners for your reply.
I'd honestly guage how much those advertisers are paying you Vs the unknown amount of sakes you are losing as people vacate the areas where there can be several over lapping audios at once. If you could distribute then so you you can only hear one at a time, that would be better. But honestly 3 or 4 of these can be simultaneously yapping at you at one time and its horrible.
🙂👍

The cafe is easily my favourite one in Worcester yet, they have a lovely selection of teas and cakes, food is very vegetarian friendly and yummy ! You can finish up eating and pick up some plants and other knick knacks (everything from cards, to jumpers, to boots, to bath bombs!) on your way out :)

A great place to shop, except for one thing that really bugs me!! I have mobility issues and feel strongly that there is no way to get to the café without walking all the way through the shop. I appreciate that you want me to buy things, but this morning I had to walk all the way round to the café to meet friends, all the way back again to buy some plants and all the way back again to pay for them! I am not the only one who finds this a difficulty. Other friends prefer St. Peter's for this reason!
V. O.
Great location with plenty to do and see. Friendly and helpful staff, many facilities available such as shops and cafe area and free parking
D. K.
Had a lovely morning at the garden centre I'm having a lovely lunch with my family. At the garden centre. But the toilets weren't very clean. To be fair they need upgrading and there was a mess all over not very hygienic it has let it down
D. W.
Really helpful and so friendly. Even the young lady we passed on the way in who was stacking shelves turned to greet us with a smile. A real pleasure and we'll be back
S. F.
Helpful and friendly staff. Very pleasant premises. Good quality and value for money. Thank you
J. P.
Lovely place to visit plenty of plants ornamental garden features. Lovely restaurant. Very pleasant and friendly staff
P. H.
Quality of food from the cafe is excellent, good choice, good service and friendly staff. I would have given 5 stars, but in my opinion very pricey.
J. C.
Good selection of plants, the garden centre is very much that ‘garden’ centre. There isn’t much in the way of internal shopping options that you would expect to see with most other types of garden centres. There is more stock inside, but limited. However, the outside selection of plants, pots and equipment is excellent
T. D.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much the garden centre has to offer, along with friendly, helpful staff. I will be returning for a visit in the future.
C. W.
Fantastic centre, lovely staff, great range of products at some great prices too. Highly recommended
S. S.
Recently visited all the local garden centres and this one is our top pick
Good selection of plants and other products don't seem like an after thought ie a full range.
Staff on floor and the tills all very cheerful and helpful. A really good experience at a reasonable price. Certainly the place to visit first

Worcester Garden Centre - Amazing Service from Ollie, Claire and Alan - I purchased 96 plants for a garden project - the excellent service I received, together with the advice received from a very knowledgeable team was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. There was a wide variety of high quality plants and prices reasonable - I will definitely be returning.

Went there to get some fish for the pond. Didn't have the species we wanted even though advertised on their website. Went for another species but was asked if there was any filtration or water movement.
Left with none in the end.

Staff were very helpful when I sought advice regarding a gift for my sister and brother in law. The female staff member stopped what she was doing and took me to the plants In which I was interested and offered me some excellent advice.

The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The breakfast was excellent and very filling, the only thing I would ask is maybe a little less vinegar in the poached eggs water as its very strong tasting, but doesn't change how great the breakfast was. Would highly recommend.

A lovely garden centre. Seems well stocked and has a nice lay out. Staff were helpful and friendly. The plants and trees are well looked after and generally good value for money.
D. W.
Great Place to spend time for a couple hours around the mass of flowers on offer along with the indoor shopping area and food restaurant/coffee shop. The staff are very helpful and will answer any question and/or advise accordingly.
A. M.
Lovely selection of well kept plants.
C. r.
Plants were all nice quality and good aquatics shop. Nice coffee shop and lovely coffee and walnut cake.

We called at Worcester Garden Centre today for two reasons. The first was to return some fish food we bought. Expecting a battle we received nothing but cooperation from Maidenhead Aquatics. Recommend them fully. The second reason was to buy plants, stones, a pot and compost for our front garden. We received courteous and helpful advice about plants from the staff which was great but what really pleased us was the way in which two people helped us load three trolleys and helped us to the car and to pack the boot. We've used this garden centre before and any plants that we've bought from them gave thrived. Try it, I think you'll like it!
J. W.
Shout out to the wonderful staff, especially servers, at the restaurant today. Due to the restrictions being lifted today they were very busy but this didn't stop them doing all they could to make our first lunch out, since lockdown, delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were friendly and chatty. Keep up the good work. We'll be back. Thank you.
D. S.
The shop was clean, spacious and has a good stock of plants. Easy to access and ideal to pick up a few gifts with a small cloth area. The cafe was very spacious with a small outdoor area.
J. L. L.
This is a well laid out garden centre. Typical garden centre vibes. They allow well behaved dogs in, which is great. Don't forget to tell your dog not to mess about while he is in there. Some of the stuff is a little overpriced much like any garden centre.... At least, I think it is.... What irritates me is the amount of items that have no prices on. Can we assume everything without a price tag is free?
The other thing is, while it's a nice touch that they provide a bowl of water for dogs to drink from, it would be even better if they cleaned the bowl occasionally.
Otherwise can't fault it.

Fabulous garden centre. Great selection, recommended for a good browse around. Great cafe for afternoon tea (delicious cakes) indoors offers candles, Reed diffusers, indoor plants nik naks and gifts. Also a clothing section. Clean, tidy and knowledgeable staff. Ample parking. Reasonable pricing throughout
W. B.
Very helpful staff. Great offers on the plants
I. F.
Return visit, but still need to try the coffee shop! Went looking for a couple of Fruit trees that I can plant and Espallier against my back garage wall. Found 2, an Apple and a Plum but needed them delivered. Went and asked, no problem - even free, if over £50, so a done deal. Arriving Wednesday, just need to get them planted and tied to the pre-prepared frames.
J. G.
Good food. Great service, very friendly staff
C. C.
Lots of fabulous plants, trees, fruit trees in very good condition & high quality garden furniture & ornaments. Everything you need to make your garden a haven is there for you. Prices in general are competitive. Staff are very good, friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Very big shout out for Meg who takes customer service to the highest level & is the epitome of an outstanding representative of the company. I return there because its value for money, it's a lovely, relaxing place to wander around & because I always find a beautiful plant I haven't seen before.
B. W.
Lovely staff, lovely garden centre and food, but whoever thought of putting a baby change in a disabled toilet needs educating. Absolutely ridiculous.
J. A.
Great place to spend a couple hours of an afternoon, plenty of planting and growing products as you'd expect. A variety of gifts and clothing (women's only? 🤔) can be found inside.
Unfortunately I spotted many of the decorative garden pieces on-sale outside were damaged.
The café serves some excellent tea, cakes and hot food, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Tables are sanitised between customers. Soft play for kids (though closed at the moment due to COVID-19).
Very friendly and helpful staff throughout, dog-friendly location.
C. M.
An enjoyable morning with a friend over coffee + looking at the papers ,+ a catch up
D. S.
Went here yesterday with my granddaughter after school to visit the cafe, they very organised with greeting and seating, tables were well distanced for guidance rules. The staff were very alert and sanitised the tables and chairs immediately after being made available.
One particular member of staff was very helpful and patient with my granddaughter.
The food was very tasty and well served.
Cake was very good also.
All the staff are attentive, I bought a few items in the giftware section.
I shall definitely be returning again and on my own for a coffee before school pickup .

This is so much more than a garden centre. Visited Sunday morning and ended up having an English breakfast. Every ingredient quality and cooked to perfection. Very good aquatic department.
R. F.
Restaurant well organised for Covid restrictions.
Fill in a short track and trace form, choose a seat then table service. When finished pay at till. Some outside tables. Nice coffee and scone. Pleasant staff. Good parking.
H. B.
Super quality plants here. Lots to choose from. There could be more disabled parking and the camber on the hard car park is hard to negotiate with a full trolley, but I love it here
T. P.
Excellent. We bought winter plants for garden, then had coffee and toasted tea cakes in your resturant.
I like how u have spaced your resturant.
R. S.
My wife and I regularly visit the garden centre and restaurant, usually for a quick coffee but sometimes a meal as well. We have always found the food to be of a good standard and the coffee is nice. We have gotten to know the restaurant staff pretty well and regard them as friends. It is that sort of place.
P. W.
We went to Maidenhead Aquatics within the garden centre and it was excellent. We walked through the garden centre to get to the aquatics centre it was a bit jumbled with narrow passageways between shelving making it hard to keep a distance from other people.
L. P.
The garden centre is excellent but the restaurant staff need re-educating on the hygiene requirements to prevent Covid 19. Masks must be worn continually and not pulled down when talking to customers or nose touched. Customers were not told to sanitise their hands on entry to to the restaurant and payment could not be made at your table. I felt very uneasy about these lapses.
H. N.
Social distancing is observed throughout, and staff are exemplary. They clear and clean tables and surroundings in the restaurant instantly. Very impressive! And the plants are wonderful too!
J. W.
Very nice centre to visit. Variety of plants for bedding , hanging baskets & many more. Inside is a lovely store with lots of items to choose from.
C. B.
Was looking for Hi-Low gadget for hanging basket. I asked for it at the checkout, the operator Kindly rang his colleague and got another colleague get it for me, save me walking around. I am elderly.
S. L.
Nice coffee and cake, sadly no sandwiches so went and collected from tesco. Didn't look in garden centre after that
H. S.
Great selection of plants, shrubs, trees, tubs, other garden items. Like the ladies clothes sold here too. Cafe is nice.
D. H.

C. L.
Loverly afternoon at the garden centre. Christmas gifts and decorations such a delightful time. Hot chocolate and toasted teacake treat.
D. 1.
A relatively small garden centre compared with the others in the Worcester area, but it has a good range of home & garden products and a nice restaurant.
E. C.
Fine not many there lots of Xmas decor but as with garden centre quite expensive. Shame fitting rooms closed as fancied a few things. Served quickly place very clean.
A. A.
Really good garden centre. Staff very knowledgable and willing to help and advise. Reasonable prices and good selection of plants etc.
L. G.
I held my sons 3rd birthday party at Blooms Wyvale Garden Center Worcester and it was fantastic. Staff were very attentive, friendly, flexible, organised, food was amazing (good quality and imaginatively presented and the chef checked with us that all was ok - able to accommodate a lactose intolerant child), there was an activity after the meal (kids were given little piping bags of icing and sweets to decorate biscuits which they could then take home), an activity sheet and colouring pencils on the table, plus of course the soft play. Price was very reasonable. Honestly I couldn't have asked for more. It was stress free and as a consequence we all really enjoyed the party - particularly my son and his friends. Highly recommended.
T. B.
I used to visit occasionally but since the cafe has been under new management, its service and cleanliness has improved no end so I visit more often, as my son likes it in the soft play.
The food is good, the ambiance is relaxing and comfortable since the refub and I highly recommend it.
J. L.
