I bought the Milano swing chair on a Wednesday and it was delivered on Thursday morning. On opening it, the seat was slightly damaged and I called immediately to let them know. A replacement arrived within 2 hours which allowed me to put it together (the instructions were superb) ready for a family gathering at the weekend!
The swing is brilliant as was the service from Nick and Jules! Thank you both!

I took my daughter 'Duckie' aged 26 who is Autistic and has special needs to the 'Create a Christmas wish event' to build a soft animal and it was AMAZING! ❤️ ❤️ Thank you so much Elves for making Duckie so very happy 😊 They were incredibly friendly and funny too! Throwing snowballs at one another (with the toy stuffing) was great fun not only for Duckie but for me too watching her enjoy herself! Making a quality soft toy to take home and love forever was simply wonderful ❤️ ❤️ Also running around the garden centre singing 🎶 a Christmas 🎄 song after her toy was made was a wonderful sight which both Duckie and myself will remember for a very long time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking a place for your child and at just £14.99 your child will be sure to have a WONDERFUL experience. Also High Down Garden Centre not only has lovely plants, trees and all you would expect from a garden centre they also have some quality Christmas gifts which are unique! I will hopefully be revisiting again next week to buy presents for my neighbours and friends. I will end my long message 😂 by saying thank you so much Elves for making Duckie smile from ear to ear. Happy Christmas to all at High down and everyone else too 🎄 ☃

We went for the Christmas lunch deal. Overall I would say it was very good . The food was excellent in my opinion. However there is a caveat . The starter was lovely but I would have preferred toast with my Pate not thin bicuits. There was plenty of Pate . Perhaps I should have read the menu ! The Turkey and meat was good , a good portion , the vegetables were plentiful and well cooked. Sprouts , cauliflower , carrots , parsnips , broccoli and potatoes , all well cooked and hot . Gravy was a little salty. Cheese and biscuits were plentiful too. Three different cheeses too. The staff were excellent but the food service was slow. I noticed other tables asking for their meals too . Our waitress was lovely and they all were . We were in the main restaurant area and the Conservatory was also being used. That meant our feet got really cold. Sounds daft , but I took my coat off but I still got cold. I know we are in a recession and times are hard but maybe , book less people , close the Conservatory and at lunch time don't allow people to come in just for coffee and snacks . Having said that I enjoyed myself but we left without coffee as we were all cold. We have not decided whether we would go again or not yet.

Lovely garden centre. My favourite. Lovely plants and flowers. I had a nice GF breakfast in the cafe. And with my loyalty card I had enough points for a nice fleece from the Regatta outlet shop within. Xmas decs are 👍
J. F.
This is a personable garden centre with excellent prices on plants and homegrown varieties. Which in today's climate is a welcome offering Wont compare to haskins because it is a different feel entirely....which is a good thing. Family run and engaging and a lovely afternoon out.
Depends what you are wanting.....if it's a big garden centre full of stuff you are seeking, then haskins is the place. This garden centre offers something completely different. It will never be able to compete on size which I think would be obvious.
J. S.
Had superb meal this weekend in the cafe. Hats off to Emma - it’s a great place to eat now. So much busier, very friendly and above all, clean. Will be back very soon!
K. W.
Absolutely love this place as an alternative to Haskins. Better range of interior products and better value than Haskins and the restaurant, although smaller has lovely food and cakes, staff are polite and helpful. Would highly recommend for a spot of midweek lunch, afternoon tea or Sunday dinner.
G. H.
Haven't visited for quite awhile, but we were very impressed. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant. We will go back soon.
B. B.
Visited for a coffee on Sunday morning pleasantly busy with a very short wait to be seated, coffee hot chocolate and a cake to share.
J. H.
A lovely nursery, lots of plants. All looking healthy.
Had a very scrummy cheese scone. My friend had a lemon drizzle scone, she loved it also. 😻👍
J. M.
Great independent garden centre, huge variety of plants, something for everyone, hard landscaping supplies and local delivery. Most of the plants are grown on site too.
Cafe on site, offers the usual things.
Large car park that can be difficult to exit at busy times.
Well worth a visit
T. H.
Nice dog-friendly garden center. Bit pricey but the quality is good
N. R. (.
Great garden centre, plants well looked after and staff very knowledgeable. Events for the children are great. Definitely one of our favourites
A. C.
As well as gardenware there is an Edinburgh Woollen Mill outlet. Food at the restaurant was tasty and the servers were friendly and helpful.
P. N.
In the shop and garden area was very rewarding, having obtained and paid for all I needed. The cafe food was good. However standing as we entered fir 5 minutes before we were seated was frustrating . It would have been good customer service if someone acknowledged. My daughter and me. Even to say " someone will be with you a.s.p." rather than ignoring us.
N. (. L.
Café/restaurant is popular and food is OK. Service is slow. You wait to order, you wait for order, (even a coffee). Plenty of staff why do things take so long.
T. B.
Not being a keen gardener I'm not best qualified to rate the garden centre however, the tea room is a different matter. It is a hidden gem especially on a sunny day. The location is lovely, the staff are friendly and the coffee is very good - what's not to like!
P. Y.
Went for breakfast and a look around. Breakfast was good but we didn't find what we were looking for. Definitely go back again as their prices are better than Haskins generally.
J. P.
great garden centre, plant are of good quality. The cafe is pleasent and the food good and reasonable price.
L. D.
Lovely place to stop and pick up gardening essentials. Good range of products and lovely selection of houseplants, all reasonably priced. Nice collection of home decor items and a fab little cafe with very nice tea and cake to stop and have a natter between shopping. Very friendly, never overly busy. Highly recommended.
S. O.
This garden centre is lovely, beautifully laid out and the rustic woodwork interior looks fabulous and enhances the whole shop. Superb collection of gifts and plants both inside and out. Personable and informative staff on hand for advice. Restaurant offers good selection of cakes and lunches.
S. B.
We are so spoilt for Garden Centres here but this is our favourite. Independently run with a lovely choice of plants, garden tools, furnishing and home ware it also boasts a great cafe. Admittedly it's been patchy for service with some changes post Covid but our visit today saw fabulous, quick service and a healthy tasy lunch. Great work.
I. K.
This place has really improved since it became independent. The staff are nothing less than friendly and helpful (with plenty of Christmas cheer).
The products are good (pretty much what you'd expect to find in a garden centre) and not too expensive. The cafe is excellent as well.
M. H.
One of the best Garden Center in the Angmering Worthing area. Also has a great restaurant too.
D. G.
Nice it's been taken over as was getting very tired. . It's a shame it's so near haskins which is much bigger with much larger selection . The xmas dept is very nicely set out and quite a few bits. It was so quiet when I visited one afternoon. Not big selection in most departments compared to other garden centres.
S. W.
Love this garden centre. Sale on the bedding plants when I went. Spent too much money
P. P.
Absolutely love this place for its wide range of beautiful, healthy houseplants. Particularly like the cactus & succulent selections which are beautifully presented and good value.
J. P.
Nice size garden center, good choice of plants, not so good for lawn mower range. Decent cafe, limited menu but what they have is nicely prepared and helpful staff.
a. c.
Took an elderly lady here for lunch. I’ve been before a few times and I knew that she would enjoy it. She had a jacket with cheese and bacon and a salad garnish... looked lovely but might have been better if bacon had been chopped up under melted cheese. I had the cream tea... delicious as ever. Good quality jam( choice of 2) top name clotted cream portion, yummy scone. Sat in conservatory where table wobbled badly but the lovely manageress( shes always cheerful and smiling) tried to sort it...and she was still lovely when another table’s fairy lights fell on their heads! I’ve commented before that the “Specials” blackboard should show prices. Will be back!!
M. S.
Great garden centre with lots to choose from. The prices are very reasonable and there is always someone around to help if needed. Nice little cafe to
M. E. B.
Lovely cafe and table service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Covid compliant. Good selection of plants, pots and ornaments and sell clothes books and indoor ornaments. Will be going back again.
I. C.
Usually have what you are looking for, so in that regard, good. However, certainly at the checkouts, you might as well be served by robots. The staff are completely mute and possess no customer service attributes whatsoever. Shame. And that's not just a one-off observation.
S. H.
Love this place. My go to garden centre, independent & family owned. (Its not necessarily cheapest in area for everything but they have a loyalty card scheme and great stock.)
Has good disabled access and is easy to navigate around. They also have some wheelchairs for customer use, and are dog friendly.
There's an EDM outlet inside and a fantastic cafe restaurant with lovely selection of food and drinks. Cafe has a conservatory and a separate section for people with dogs too. Staff throughout the whole place are friendly knowledgeable and very helpful.
Large car park with about 8 blue badge spaces near entrance and exit.
(Skinners Sheds and Maidenhead Aquatic also on site. )
g. h.
Love the cafe /restaurant, we go normally twice a week, lovely coffee and a belting brie bacon and cranberry toastie, lovely friendly waiting staff and comfortable surroundings. Oh and the garden centre is great also, and now they have thier fantastic Xmas display, loads of lovely things.
f. p.
Four stars are for the cafe mainly. Very well done if quiet but a bit difficult for staff if busy but they coped. Good coffee and scones.
The garden centre doesn't seem to have as good selection as when it was Wyevale as not many gifts and lacks colourful outdoor pots. It does look a lot cleaner than before inside so well done for that.
A. B.
Visited Misty the Elf who was excellent and did a really good job with grandchildren, try and see the Elf at the weekend.
J. G.
Love visiting here. So nice as it is a smaller garden centre but still plenty of choice. They also have some lovely cakes in the café.
R. P.
A well placed center with lots to choose from I planted all the plants I got and they are all grown and flourishing not just plants sold there but lots of outside furniture a visit is well worth it plenty of parking
P. 1.
Very organized garden center with plenty of choices.
S. C.
I took my little boy to see Misty the Elf at Highdown Garden Centre and it was fab! She was sooo good with him, they made a special Christmas wish together and it really made his day! Highly recommend!
S. L.
Excellent café to meet friends for coffee/tea or light lunch. Very polite service, clean and covid conditions adhered to. Very busy but not noisey. Will definitely go back again.
A. A.
Lovely independent home grown garden centre.
N. A.
The most amazing fruit scones. Homemade too. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfasts as well. Will be making return visits to their cafe. The garden centre has good quality plants and is looking lovely.
M. B.
Lovely to walk around.. bit pricey, for some things.Nice restaurant..good meals served at table.Staff really nice.
r. s.
We used the cafe today and decided to have a cheese scone each, a regular decafe black coffee and large decafe cappuccino without chocolate.
We got two regular coffee's and one with chocolate but couldn't be bothered to say anything.
Then the cheese scones were so stodgy with hardly any taste of cheese, not nice.
Sorry guys, could do better!!
I. R.
Lovely breakfast this sunday, poached eggs cooked to perfection and we had lovely hot coffees. Friendly and accommodating staff, will definitely be returning!
K. s.
I visited on a Sunday mid morning and found the experiance pleasant. Since its change of owners there have been many changes with most products on the shelves. The plant area was well stocked with spring bedding plants . Certainty worth a visit
R. S.
Had lunch there yesterday, it was very good. Layout of garden centre was lovely, a lot of choice. But the toilets were disgusting, very unhygienic. Need a good cleaning ☹️
J. C.
Excellent Christmas meal from a garden centre, and just had a great steak pie, full of succulent steak with separate gravy. Well done!
J. J.
Plant selection excellent, Christmas decorations well stocked. Maybe a little pricey? Santa Claus grotto was wonderful and the small person loved it. They were amazing!
P. H.
Very good to be back for my first chance to have tea here. There is an extra marquee in addition to the usual seating area. The plant displays are excellent. The Regatta shop is also here now.
A. T.
Excellent plants and superb coffee shop
L. W.
We had a good time, the food was fairly good, but abit expensive for what it was. We were shocked to find we had to pay with a card instead of CASH!!!! , it wouldn't have been as bad if we had been told about before hand when we placed our order, there was no mention about on the information board either. We were wondering what would have happened if none of us had brought our cards with us????
D. &. J. T.
Great place, lovely walk around, nice variety of indoor and outdoor plants. There are a couple of shops to go in too, a very nice restaurant with a lovely outside sitting area and dogs are welcome.
A winner.
S. H.
Really friendly staff and an amazing variety of plants. Also, my favourite bit is the bird life, robins everywhere ❤️
S. E.
Limited menu but very nice, good size pot of tea, lots of lovely cakes
S. A.

Great and varied number of interesting plants. Good equipment sections with sensible layout. A small cafe is avaliable for lazy morning chats with a good selection of teas, coffees and cakes. I shall be returning when I need a few choice plants.
P. N.
Excellent selection of plant available. Good distancing put in place + hand gel available at door.
A meal in the restaurant worked well. Escorted to cleaned table and order taken. Will definately be going there again.
M. A.

R. L.
Big place, lovely well looked after plants the price reflects this, best aquatic centre I've seen for ages, food smelled delicious but didn't have time to taste it.
T. B.
Since the change from Wyevale Garden Center was unsure whether Highdown would do as well? But They Have!! Good variety of plants/ statue's/ water features etc. Staff Really Helpful!! Just need to update pet centre & paint/ mend traction engine at Front Entrance to the Garden Center please.
J. H.
Lovely staff. A good selection of indoor plants. I've bought a lovely bonsai and ferns. Good value planters too.
J. W.
Nice and quiet today although a lot of cars in the carpark. I guess the staff have to get there somehow.
I got all I needed and at a reasonable price.
K. S.
Food Excellent staff really friendly good atmosphere
P. K.
Highdown Garden Centre is a great improvement on Wyvale. However I did ask a lady working outside where I could find the hosta's & she replied over there where the A-Z of shrubs are. The aisles aren't marked A-D / E-H etc so took a while to find what I was looking for. Also the sky was black so the heavens could have opened at any moment. I feel she could have been a little more helpful in showing me exactly where they were.
P. L.
Improved since the new owners and we'll worth a visit.
G. C.
Lovely customer service and reasonably priced .2 lovely ladies helped me with my cacti and succulent pot search.thank you
P. Y.
Wanted to see what the Highdown Garden Centre had for Christmas outside lights and birthday cards. Their Christmas light choice wasn't as good as Haskins....Got a birthday card and weed control fabric and completely their loyalty card application.
R. A.
Lovely selection of plans and very well organized and easy to navigate. But on the pricier side but you will appreciate the choice of plants and garden accessories.

It used to be a Wyevale but recently went independent.
They are trying to continue the same way but it will take time to fill some of the gaps.
Like all garden centres you have to watch out for bargains.
I will continue to support them and wish them every success.
s. c.
