A dramatic transformation of our previously overgrown, leaking and unsightly pond to what is now a truly delightful area of the garden. Despite the recent hot weather and the hugely messy initial task, Stuart, Mark and Elliott cheerfully did a superb job, made excellent suggestions as the work progressed and tidied up faultlessly. This was a big job and consequently not cheap (to be honest we initially balked a bit at the quotation) -- but actually having seen the amount of effort involved at first-hand, the quality of work done, and the amount of materials needed, it was excellent value for money. Thanks Dave and team, you did a great job, we'll certainly recommend you and gladly use you again as and when the occasion arises.

Once again really impressed by Dave’s friendly team of Stuart and colleagues who tamed our magnolia, thinning and drastically reducing the crown. They then tackled our long established wisteria, reducing and cutting back to a more manageable size, replaced two fence panels with new posts, and refelted the garden shed. All in a single morning! Everything was left clear and tidy, and we wouldn’t hesitate recommending Rylands or turning to them again for their skill and professionalism.

This review concerns their landscaping skills. I have to say that they are utterly superb. From a basic idea and sketch the Ryland Team have transformed our garden. The photos attached to this review speak volumes. From inception to completion we have been totally satisfied and the finished job exceeds our expectations. In summary, Ryland Horticulture are professional, competitive, knowledgable, courteous, tidy, considerate and an absolute pleasure to work with. We have an Italian Alder tree at the end of our garden which needed some work as a number of the branches were spreading across adjacent properties. The whole process from the estimate to the work being carried out was superb. The two lads who attended did a great job and the tree now looks in a much better shape. The removed branches were taken away and everything was left very tidy after the job had been completed. I would highly recommend Ryland and would certainly use them again for any future work.

We had two conifers, a medium sized shrub and a thick yucca trunk with all stumps to be removed. We rang to arrange for someone to come and gives us a quote and they arrived on time on the arranged day. A very competitive price was agreed and said they would be in touch to arrange a date and time to carry out the work. They arrived on time again. We were expecting a bit of a mess but the gang of three said the would try and dig everything out rather than using the grinder. Everything was dug out with very little mess at all. I can highly recommend Ryland Horticultural Ltd. Everyone was polite, friendly and had a professional approach to doing a good job. I would have no doubts in using them again. Thanks.

We recently used Ryland Horticulture to take down an Ash tree in the garden which had developed ash dieback. David and his team did an excellent job , very professional and efficient. They got approval from the council to fell the tree and took care of our lawn and garden while working.

The team attended on time and were friendly and efficient. Trees and stumps were removed, the site was left very tidy and we were very pleased with the results. We used Rylands (after reading online reviews) to pollard a large tree, trim a smaller one and to severely cut back a hedge. They were punctual, friendly, patient and professional. Fantastic service from start to finish. We had a line of trees blocking light to the rear of our garden. Dave came to give us some advice and a quote for their removal. Although Ryland weren't the cheapest, we were impressed by Dave's professionalism. There were no high pressure sales techniques and Dave gave us an honest and simple quote. When the day of works arrived it was pouring with rain and we were half expecting a call to cancel. Instead the work gang turned up spot on time and cheerfully worked through all the horrible weather. They did a great job, much more quickly than we were expecting and cleared up after themselves perfectly. In fact they left the site tidier than when they had arrived! I would not hesitate to use Ryland again and would happily recommend them to anyone who needed horticultural works done to a high standard at a fair price.

We can recommend them wholeheartedly because they always do a great job of pruning/lopping/shaping and David Gregory has been really helpful in recommending suitable replacements for trees that have succumbed to cold or outgrown their position. We asked Ryland Horticulture to remove a 35 year old silver birch from our garden. It was done with such skill and professionalism and in a matter of hours !! The team of three arrived on schedule and wasted no time in getting on with the job in hand. We had asked the team to leave us with all the substantial logs and dispose of the rest. This was done so efficiently - it was all left in a neat pile - they even willingly made a few "slices" for us which we plan to use to make house signs with. One word.........EXCELLENT !!!
