We have a medium sized suburban garden. I asked Sally to design a replacement patio with steps leading into the garden and to help break the garden space into rooms. It proved a pleasure to work with her. She was professionally confident but was also attentive to my wishes. So she was happy to discuss lots of possibilities and draw up more than one design to achieve what we wanted. The design also managed to incorporate the plants in the garden that we wanted to keep along with new planting. Sally is both meticulous and creative. I very highly recommend her! Jan

I couldn't recommend Sally at Yorkshire Garden Design highly enough. She's absolutely brilliant at her job - good with gardens, plants, people and dogs! We really enjoyed meeting with her, both in-person and online, and she made the whole process easy and enjoyable from start to finish. I am a keen gardener but didn't know how to go about achieving what I had in mind and didn't feel confident about creating good planting schemes. Sally listened to us, added her experience and skill to our thoughts and ideas, and created a beautiful, practical design which is perfect for us. Highly recommend Sally for any garden designing services. Right from our first meeting we felt like she understood exactly how to get the most out of the space and suggested lots of great ideas we wouldn’t have thought of ourselves. Sally has transformed our garden and driveway into a new exciting space we’re really proud of and brings us enjoyment all year round. It was important to us to tie the house and garden together to create defined areas for outdoor dining, bringing greenery and colour closer to the house, and deal with a change in levels to make if feel more inviting and purposeful. We now have defined areas within the 2 different garden levels, with thought through planting zones, features made of our birdbath, water trough and new stone steps. Sally used her wealth of experience to successfully design and manage the project and her attention to detail meant we had very few issues through the build.

We initially contacted Sally for ideas and inspiration because we had our own ideas of what we wanted but had no idea how to bring it all together. sally put our minds at ease, mixing our ideas with some of her own and explaining the reasons along the way. Could not recommend Yorkshire Garden Designer enough - Sally has transformed our boring, overlooked new build garden into a beautiful, tranquil, planned out space that is perfect for our family to enjoy for years to come. When I first met Sally I knew she was the garden designer for us. She listened to all our needs and incorporated them into a beautiful plan that completely exceeded our expectations and blew us away. Sally procured all our plants for us meaning we benefitted from wholesale prices, quality suppliers and reduced stress. Sally and Henry worked tirelessly to plant up the entire garden in the space of 2 days saving us a lot of time. As a garden novice I really appreciated this service as rather than just sticking plants into the soil, key issues (eg compaction and drainage) were identified and dealt with, giving our plants the best chance of survival. Sally’s knowledge and attention to detail is so impressive. She is wonderful to work with (very friendly, open to ideas, sets realistic expectations and wants to meet the needs of customers). I had absolute trust in her throughout the process and we have a glorious garden to show for this now.

On first meeting Sally i knew my garden was in the right hands. She listened to what I wanted and gave a completely fresh perspective on what was possible. She kept in touch and produced detailed plans, adapting the planting after discussions with me. Sally put us in touch with a couple of contractors and we chose with confidence.
