A quality laundrette, with a great coffee on offer whilst you're there! The staff were helpful and friendly. Tumble driers are a bit more expensive than most I've used, but it wasn't a prohibitive price. I definitely be recommend this place.

The Old Cinema is a lovely place to visit, even if you're just doing your washing! I've had to use launderettes a lot in my life, and this is the fist one I've been to that doesn't have that certain musty smell that attaches itself to the clothes you wash there. It's beautifully clean with a delightfully vintage decor and lovely, friendly and helpful staff. A wash may be slightly more expensive than some other launderettes, but it's worth paying for the pleasant environment in my view. And there aren't many other launderettes where you can order a freshly brewed coffee, or even a G&T, while you wait for your wash to finish! In fact, it's worth going for a drink there to soak up (pun intended) the atmosphere, even without any washing. I haven't yet experienced a gig at this unusual music venue, but I can imagine that this quirky, intimate setting would make for a fantastic night.

Amazing place & amazing friendly down to earth genuine staff. Strangest thing in the world to walk into a launderette to do ones laundry and then to realise that the launderette is holding a wedding reception. Coffee, tea & alcohol drinks available whilst you spin dry. Well recommend 5*****

Very popular place! I'm referring to laundry only as I haven't experienced the music yet. They're a godsend in this winter weather ... a bit pricey but they can pretty much command the prices for those of us who need them.

Second time I've had to use the launderette due to having no working washing machine at home and I love it. The ladies operating the service washes in the back room are very helpful and attentive. Nice to have a beer as well.

This is my favourite music venue, small and intimate with a good bar, toilets etc. Unique setting and never had any issues finding a spot in the main street parking bays.

I have never used the launderette before, but today the service I received was fabulous, I had brought in duvets to be washed and dried, the laundrette has a lovely vibe and the service was really top class. Thank you so much my duvets smell and look incredibly clean and feel brand new. Would definitely recommend and visit again!!

Absolutely perfect service! I've been going here for laundry services for four years and it has never let me down! From having sheets washed to ball gowns dry cleaned - always comes back perfect. Lovely and super friendly staff always willing to go above and beyond, the laundrette itself is a lovely place to be in, with great quality hot drinks and little snacks. Would highly recommend for drop off/delivery laundry services (always very timely and perfect quality and service!) and self laundering (the place will make you look forward to doing laundry!) :) !

Had three blankets and a goose feather pillow that needed to be washed and dried. I picked them up two days later and they were nice and fresh and even seiled in protective film. Great handy little place

I'm here for laundry but they do live music in the evenings too! Came to do my laundry, not usually a fun way to spend a couple of hours, but this place changed my outlook. Lovely lady to help me get set up. Comfortable area to hang out, fun decor (love the colorful bras hanging in the window). The coffee is good and the retro (recorded) music is great fun. Now on my third visit, very pleased to recommend this place.

First and long overdue visit to this gem of a place. What a great place to catch an intimate music performance (Paul Smith of Maximo Park) on this occasion. Everything about the setup of this venue/launderette was impressive, a great selection of drinks, friendliness of all the staff and the fact it felt like sitting in an extension of your own living room was just fabulous. I'll definitely be back again that's for sure.

Cracking concert in a lovely venue, very characterful. The staff are lovely, very helpful and professional. They also serve tea and coffee! More music venues should do this! Only improvement for me would be a non-dairy milk option as I'm allergic and would still like a cup of tea. I carry alternative milk portions with me but most people don't. This is a small quibble though, thanks for a great night team!

I've only been to gigs here, never done any laundry, but the gigs have been universally great. Intimate, great atmosphere, excellent audiences, fabulous variety of performers from solo singer-songwriters to bands, folk, jazz, classical, country, rock and indie. Plus, there is the lovely retro decor and the irascible, charming host! Come on down.

Is it wrong to love a Launderette as much as I do this one ?? Love it when the dryer at home brakes and have to wait for a engineer to come out to fix it. Wash my clothes at home take them here to get them dried. Has the best cappuccino as well.

Great little place to go chill and have a quiet beer. The beers are good and fits with the modern-day need for something that isn t mainstream. Hopefully this place becomes more popular and the beers rotate more often. I have no clues as to how the launderette side is as I only go for the beer 😂

Called in for a couple of gins on a Saturday night, love this place! Excellent selection of gins and beers for the guys. Really friendly and a great atmosphere. Only improvement wound be some large gin glasses.

Our first visit,surprising as it's only a five minute walk.Had the pleasure of seeing The Little Unsaid,and expected some young lad singing beeswing and other covers.Too much YouTube?Anyway,was very entertained,couldn't pigeonhole him in any genre,and liked him a lot,all good musicians in the band.Venue intimate,staff very welcoming,pale ale on draught very nice.Can't wait for Chance McCoy next month,may call in for coffee on the way home from work.Felt welcome and relaxed,why share a band with hundreds of strangers and have to drive and stay sober?Have since been to see Chance Mc'coy who was very entertaining, an evening well spent.In October we had the pleasure of experiencing Louis de Bernieres, easily our favourite author, singing, playing guitar and chatting in a very intimate,cosy style. We even bought some vinyl which is proving to be very relaxing. Thank you to all concerned.
