Beloved family heirloom c.1880 Caucasian Kazak rug which had been in storage for years beautifully cleaned then sympathetically and perfectly restored to it’s former glory.
Wow! What an amazing result!
Picked up and delivered to my door.
Very responsive communications with the company director in Scotland.
A very personal service from a family company which clearly has a real passion and commitment to quality.
Outstanding!
Highly recommended.

I recently bought an oriental rug from Ebay which the seller described as 'might need a surface clean'. After some research on Google I chose The Oriental Rug Repair Company to clean it. Amazing service! They collected it as well as returned it. As for the surface clean - pfft! They had to hand wash it twice and said in their opinions it had never been washed! It came up beautifully. They were even able to tell me the age of the rug and the name of the style. I am so glad I picked this company - my thanks to Scott, Paul and the team for a superb job. I would highly recommend them. (Sorry I have no before photo - just after).

We first came upon this company in the RHS publication, "The Garden". We owned a 24 years-old, 8 ft diameter circular Persian rug which required restoration: the pile was worn in places and the fringe was badly in need of repair. We dealt mostly with Paul Fleming (Edinburgh?) who not only explained the restoration process, but also valued the rug which was much greater than the original sale price. He kept in touch regularly and, in consequence, we were always aware of the restoration costs. He sent us pictures of the rug before & after restoration: the restored rug looked stunning in the photo but when it arrived yesterday, we were amazed at how beautiful the restored item was! Great work and well worth the cost!

Scott Fleming personally dealt with my rugs efficiently and as promised. I have two Afghan Runners for my hallway, one of which had fairly substantial walking damage that I formerly thought was irreversible. However, upon Mr Fleming's arrival he actually gave me several options for rebuilding or simply 'managing' the damage to prevent future loss. I went ahead with the most pricey of outcomes and had my rugs delivered back washed, and repaired like new. I really could not believe the results, it was almost impossible to detect where the repair had been carried out. Fantastic service, couldn't have done any better.

I would highly recommend Mr Fleming and the team. We had two rugs badly damaged by a flood. They were picked up on the same day and Scott and his team dealt directly with our insurance agent which took a lots of stress out of the situation. One rug was completely restored (amazing!) and the other they managed to get replaced by our insurer as it was too far gone. They even found us a replacement which is completely gorgeous! We will use them again for sure (although not in the near future I hope!)

A very pleasant and incredibly professional service. We had two antique persian carpets cleaned and some repairs were done to the fringes. Delighted with the outcome. Both were returned within two weeks. They also do valuations too which we had done for insurance. Would certainly recommend.

The ORRC made a complicated situation extremely simple, in an affordable and professional manner. When I called the ORRC, I was quickly handed on to the company's owner, Mr Fleming. He arranged to have my two, very large Heriz carpets collected from my fourth floor penthouse apartment in London, free of charge. The necessary work was then carried out on the rugs, and they were stored until I was ready to move into my new home in Glasgow. Upon request, the rugs were delivered to my new address where Mr Fleming was personally present to see that they were fitted correctly, supplying appropriate underlay for my new wooden floors (something I had not previously considered). Mr Fleming and his team went over and above their call of duty to see that my particular case was handled properly, such fantastic service could not have come at a better time. Thank you again for your wonderful work.

I was given an old rug by my Grandma that got wet and dirty during transit. As it was a goat hair rug, many other places I contacted wouldn't touch it. ORRC picked it up and cleaned it very carefully, as it has organic dyes in the pattern. They did such a wonderful job. It has come back so clean and soft. Very pleased with the service and impressed with the knowledge and care taken by the very helpful team. Very satisfied customer. Would recommend to anyone with a quality rug that needs careful cleaning.

After spilling a huge mug of coffee on a hand made Kilim grey and ivory rug I was devestaed. I spoke with the owner after finding them online and he was clearly experienced and very knowledgable. The coffee was dropped at 10am and the rug was collected and attended to by 3pm the same day. It was returned in almost perfect condition - so much more than I could've expected and it's barely visible. The whole team are friendly and professional. Thoroughly recommended! Thanks to you all for saving my favourite rug! X
