M. A.Lovely place to have a walk around during the day / evening. It's great to see once derelict buildings left to neglect for years have been transformed into apartments ( flats ) restaurants and bars. Great vibe in the evening with all the buzz of the place and the various smells of food
Wafting around. There are some lovely and expensive looking boats ( if your into that kind of thing ) not my cup of tea but nice to see the area looking prosperous. You can do ship cruises from the marina daily or just sit back, eat drink and watch the world go bye.
S. C.Sailed up to this marina and spent two nights here on one of their visitor berths. Lovely marina in a beautiful historic setting. Toilets and shower block was spacious and clean. Launderette on site. Pub on site too. Staff were very friendly, helpful and happy for us to stay as long as we wanted. Small grassy dog walk was very welcome for our dog. Highly recommended. Will return.
o.For several years, me and my husband have wanted to sail our little boat from Richmond to Ipswich... we finally made it this August and were recommended to book in to Haven Marina for our week-long stay. This was a top tip!! The Marina is situated right on the edge of the town centre and only 15min walk from the main station. We were able to explore the local area by foot and venture out to Woodbridge by train.
The facilities were very good, the showers particularly so - five stars from us! Power points and water on the pontoons plus a little laundry room (even equipped with an ironing board). The Marina team were friendly and helpful.
Also on site is the The Last Anchor, a nice bar with a good kitchen. Sadly the chandlers has now closed but the boat brokerage is opening up a Yamaha outboard showroom which will be good for local business.
We refuelled on our way out, the fuel pontoon is easily accessible with plenty of waiting room.
All in all, a highly recommended destination for a sailing trip to Ipswich!
B. B.It's a good location and busy marina but could do with some cleaning.
Absolutely nowhere to sit and enjoy the view or watch the boats except a restaurant.
The Swans were in amongst lots of scrap metal that worried me a little.

G. O.The marina is lovely with a nice continental vibe, but only a small strip you can walk along in 5 minutes, with coffee shops, hotels and restaurants. The surrounding area a few streets back is run down, the town centre is awful .

O. W.Pleasant marina with friendly staff. Very affordable rates, compared to the nearby marinas further down the River Orwell. Its on the quite side of the harbour, the other side (Neptunes Marina) is closer to town and has a large number of restaurants, but it can get a little loud in the evening. In Ipswich Haven Marina there is only one restaurant, but that is the very pleasant Last Anchor, which is open all day for breakfast, drinks, lunch or dinner.

F. P.Very convenient for accessing the city center and there is also a massive cinema not to far away (Cineworld), the staff there were very nice and the price for one night is £27.02. I wouldn't Neptune Marina as it's closer to the restaurants and bars, the people there do make a lot of noise and it's closer to the main road! People with yachts and speedboats this is the best marina in Ipswich!
