I walked a mile and half to check out Chilworths Launderette from all of the nice reviews and I was so pleased. There are multiple washers and dryers in this big space. I could tell the owners care about their family-owned business because the equipment is clean and well maintained. You can get change for the machines, no problem. The owner was so kind and friendly and we had such a nice conversation. I’ll definitely be returning here to do my laundry and getting my daily steps in!

This is our go-to laundromat when we stay in London. Very kind and nice owner, and she always makes me feel welcomed. The quality of the service laundry and dry cleaning is superb and quick. We stayed in a hotel a block away from the laundromat and it was so helpful to have a great laundromat that is open 6 days a week even during the pandemic.

The day I arrived in London, I had difficulty finding my flat, and I stopped at this cleaners to ask where to go. The gentleman who owns it spent five minutes of his own time helping me, a complete stranger, find my way home, and gave detailed directions whilst exhibiting patience. I promised myself that if I ever needed dry cleaning services (which as a young professional I certainly would!) that I would go to this cleaners. I found them online, and discovered among many five star reviews that they were excellent. They have managed to remove the toughest stains from my favourite clothes on multiple occasions, provide VERY fast service, and are polite and professional. I would recommend them to anyone a hundred times over!

Chilworths did a wonderful job with my laundry. I was staying next door at a hotel and they were able to wash my laundry, do a couple dry clean items and even press a shirt for me all within one day turn around. I have been using this laundrette for 15 years. The equipment is modern and clean. The service is excellent. But by far the best thing about this place is the owner, Jamie. She has a real talent for relating to people. Time after time, customers come in and she knows who they are, what their concerns are, and what they need. It is almost as if she regards them as just more members of her family!

This family run business is simply delightful!!! The owner Jaimie is so kind hearted and approachable - when I visited I felt so welcomed into the local community. Not only can you expect an exceptional service including high quality machinery, high standard of service washes, shirts service and dry cleaning, they also do tailoring! The premises are very clean and it’s great value for money. They have a refreshing work ethic and really do go above and beyond for customer care - I have nothing but praise for them!

Have been using Chilworths for years and thought I would use the time in lockdown when they have been shut to write a review. Have always had great service and good cleaning of my suits and shirts. When they have found issues such as buttons missing or damage they have always called to ask me what they would like to be done. Have used them for alterations and the adjustments were excellent and high quality. Prices for cleaning and alterations seem on a par with what i have paid elsewhere. Nice neighbourhood shop that delivers a good consistent service.

Fantastic experience and excellent service. I opted for a paid - same day service to have my clothes washed and dried while I was out exploring London. Handed clothes over at 10:00am, got them back at 1:00pm. They were also washed really well. The owner, Jamie was more than welcoming and very helpful. Also asked if I had any allergies so she could use the right detergent. Definitely worth visiting if you want something done right!!

Its cozy little shop for laundry service in Paddington area. Hilda, the lady at the laundromat is a very sweet person. She is very gentle and polite. She helped me around while I was doing my laundry. This place has a homely feel about it.

Amazing and friendly service from the attendants. Family run business and a god send for us as we came to the end of our 6 nights in London. We dropped our clothes off this morning and we were greeted by a lady who was quite helpful. We paid £26 for 2 loads of washing. Our clothes were cleaned, dried, and folded for us. Upon our return we were greeted by a kind and lovely woman. She recommend a place for us to have dinner and made us feel happy and welcome.

This place is perfect for anyone staying on vacation and needing to do laundry! We stayed at the Henry VIII hotel and this was within walking distance. We just put our dirty clothes in a suitcase and then brought it over. The staff were so helpful and informed us we could either stay and wash or leave it and she would do it for us. Both prices were very reasonable. We decided to leave it and went to have lunch and coffee then a walk in the park and finally shopping. The whole time our laundry was getting done. She washed, dried, folded and then put it all back in our suitcase. It was done within just a few hours and we picked it up on our way back to the hotel. Highly recommend!

I never take my ticket, but staff is always helpful at checking the system to get my laundry. Recommend this place to anyone living in the area, or staying in a hotel closeby in need to get some laundry done! :)

The employee who took our clothes (for a family of 4) was super kind and helpful. Our clothes were washed, dried, and folded and ready for us at the end of our day. I was thankful to find this place right around the corner from our hotel while on holiday in London. This is a great place to have your laundry done. As tourists, we had ours done there and the lady over there helped my wife do almost everything since everything was new to us - including the coins :). We had kids along and while waiting for the clothes to finish and she never minded. It's a safe place to go and right beside it is a small convenience store to get some snacks or ice cream. Would recommend them.

I have been using Chilworth's Launderette for over 15 years and have been very happy with the service that I have received over the years, both service washes and lots of dry-cleaning - always prompt and the work done to a high standard. If there is an issue the matter is rectified quickly and professionally - I once have a suit jacket come back with buttons broken thanks to over-enthusiastic pressing at the dry-cleaner, but the buttons were all replaced promptly and without argument. I have also had some alternations and repairs done through the launderette been very satisfied with this work as well.

It was surprisingly difficult finding a laundry service during our vacation to London. Everywhere either didn't do the work on site or wanted £4 per shirt. So happy to have found this place. The woman who ran it couldn't have been friendlier and our clothes came back same day as promised and looking great. Would definitely use on our next trip.

Very good service! Family business - the owner, Jamie, helped us out and also recommended a cafe for breakfast and coffee. Big washing machines and dryers available. Washing only takes 35mins for cold wash cycle, drying takes about 40mins - cost £12. They also have a one day service where you can leave your washing and pick it up in the afternoon. Approximately 10min walk from our hotel in Queens Garden.

Chilworths, you are an absolute lifesaver! I was at an airBnB on Gloucester Terrace with my family. We were there on holiday from the US. We had lots of laundry, we were rushing to get over to the Apollo Victoria for a show and it was the saturday before the spring bank holiday. Since they would be closed on Monday, the owner took all of our laundry and expedited the washing and drying (and even folding!) of our laundry in time for us to still get to our show and have clean clothes through the holiday weekend.
