Reviews of The Crafty Vintner - (Off Licence Belfast | Wine Merchant Belfast | Off Sales Belfast)

Food was lovely, atmosphere beautiful especially sitting on the terrace on a sunny morning BUT service was shocking. So slow, a number of male staff didn't seem to know what table they were bringing food or drinks too. Waited 35 mins in between ordering and getting our food. If you are going to go leave yourself 2-3 hours, wouldn't want have an appointment to run to.

This is one of the best brunch place in Belfast. I literally went there to have breakfast every Saturday in the summer. They change up their menu as well which is a +. Will highly recommend! When the weather is good sitting in their patio and have breakfast with my hubby is one of the best pandemic memories I have.

Amazing place to get lost in on a Sunday afternoon. The pay as you go wine setup is great and the selection on offer is brilliant.
Food is great too and lots to choose from.

You don't have to be a wine fan to come here but you may well soon become one if you are not. A cosy wine tasting room with a well stocked bar, several small plates to choose from (menu varies throughout the day) and cheese and charcuterie board selection all add to the enjoyment. The star of the room no doubt though is the wine tasting cabinet. Self service selection using a prepaid card from over 30 different wines makes for an enjoyable and fun evening. If you like what you taste you can buy a bottle to take home right there and then. Highly recommend the Crafty Vintner for a fun and enjoyable evening.
My 2nd visit and this time I enjoyed some dishes from the 'small plates' selection. 'Asparagus' with the most delicious 'Hen's egg', 'Scallop' and 'Chorizo Croquette', each one better than the last. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Tasty food with a mix of classic all day brunch and tapas style dishes. Excellent staff too!

Have been here a good few times, nice setting and atmosphere, average food, though the charcuterie boards are OK. The last 2-3 times I have been the service has been shocking. Chasing staff for menus, chasing them to order, chasing them to clear the table and then having to chase for a second order. It's a shame because the venue is lovely but the service isn't there to match. Honestly don't know if I could be bothered going again knowing you have to deal with that.

Great but food selection could be bigger and could offer natural wines too

Interesting selection of wines, just give them a call if there's a particular bottle your looking for. There's also a place to sit and have coffee and a bite to eat. Parking can be difficult as it's on a main busy road.

We had a package to be delivered by parcel force and because of strikes this company delivered our goods to our dear friend for his 60th birthday - very impressed about this outside the norm service - good job

Nice atmosphere on the terrace. Dogs also welcome on the terrace and a nice selection of snacks available.

Service and ambiance good Menu limited but just about OK Quality of food terrible Burnt to a crisp Confirmed to me what others had said to me before my first and last visit

We wanted something specific for my Dad's birthday. Called first and they couldn't have been more helpful. When we arrived they had put it one aide

Went here a few months ago and although food was okay I had a great time and service was fantastic. We had a delightful young man for a waiter called Michael Glasgow and he made our night so memorable ! Returned last week and the place has turned into a complete dump , literally . Great waiter Michael nowhere to be seen and the place has descended into chaos. 3 stars.

Myself and a friend, decided at the last minute to have drinks here. The staff, including the doorman and the manager who seated us, were extremely welcoming, good humoured and everyone looked like they enjoyed working there and being the team. Our servers were outstanding, especially Charlene and Bea. Our plan to stay for one drink at 6pm turned into staying until 11pm purely because of the hospitality and atmosphere generated by the staff.

Been really enjoying here during lockdown and super excited to return once restrictions are lifted. Staff in the off licence are knowledgeable and have made great recommendations. Will routinely call in for a coffee on my days off and the coffee is excellent. Also really impressed with the selection of sweet bakes (and there's even some vegan options). Have had cheese toastie from their takeaway breakfast menu which was great. Will continue to be a regular visitor!

Good selection of wine, knowledgeable staff, expensive, but would still come back.

The Crafty Vintner on the Lisburn Road is not only one of the most trusted off license wine stores in Belfast, specialising in online sales and home delivery for wines, craft beer and spirits, but the Tasting Room is home to state-of-the-art wine dispensers offering a “self-serving” option available in three convenient sizes – 50ml, 125ml & 175ml.
Also, there are delicious dishes to enjoy whilst sampling from the choice of up to 32 rotating wines on offer. We chose from the small plates menu: some crispy calamari, spicy tofu popcorn with hot sauce, and smoky chilli prawns to accompany our wine choices of Alvarinho, Viura Rioja & Cairanne. The Crafty Vintner offers a unique and interactive way to taste wines from around the world.

The nicest off license you'll ever set foot in. Much too fancy for a commoner like myself. I picked up some local craft beers just before Christmas from their chilled glass cellar at the back. They obviously care alot about the products they sell. Great place if you need wine or beer.
