P. B. U.If you want incredible, interesting wines, imported directly from small, passionate producers all over the world!!! Then Wheelers Wine Cellar is the place for you.
The wine company is a family-owned independent wine merchant, based originally in Colchester, with over 160 yrs of industry experience, boasting a carefully selected portfolio of great quality wines from family-owned growers.
At the shop you can visit and browse their portfolio of over 1000 wines which are on display and available to buy by the bottle and an additional 100 fine rare and mature bottles for the wine enthusiast held on site in a special fine wine showroom.
C. S.I’ve used this company a couple of times with no issue. On the most recent occasion though, three bottles were damaged in transit as the couriers used (APC Overnight) were not the best. I wasn't contacted with a delivery day or time, plus they didn't contact The Wine Company to tell them of the damage and it was left to me to do so.
The Wine Company's customer service was excellent, however, and the bottles were replaced within 3 days.
I'd give the full rating if a more reputable delivery service was used.
D. B.Great service and lovely wines. I tried the Clayvin chardonnay and am completely sold now. On my second case. Service is great and i have the wine delivered to the office so it's really easy to collect and put in the car. They often suggest other wines and have even phoned me with an offer which I also took advantage. A much better way to purchase wine rather than the supermarket.
