It's the only real off sales in battlefield now, so there is no choice or competition. On the plus side, they've managed to keep prices down. On the minus side, I'm afraid is the staff. Not all of them. Most are really nice, helpful and friendly, but there are a few who don't look like they really want to be there. It's off putting. Recently given the wrong change and u get the answer the computer is right when clearly a £2.18 purchase paid with £10, I only had a tenner on me, clearly doesn't give £2.82 change. Point blank refused it was a tenner I gave over. Told to come back at10pm when the person would be cashing up, which I did. When I arrived, the manager on who was cashing up asked me to wait as the person has lied cos her shift had finished and she wasn't in to the next day.
The till was spot on to the penny. This is called under ringing. Where u put in a lower price, the till shows the customer how much change they should get and most don't notice until they have left the shop that u got change from £10 when u gave them a £20. I've worked in retail, and this is the easiest and hardest to catch the employees doing it. The first sign u should look for is if every time they do the books, it matches to the penny. It never does, your usual a wood up or 50p down etc. They can't get caught with camera because the money they are going to steal is still in the till and most shops don't have cameras pointing directly if any, at where they cash up and where the safe is. So at there leasure, the till give a print out of the days takings which gets bagged, safe then banked, while all the extra cash hours in their pockets. So if your s two people team and one is eager to get rid of you so u can go home as is after working hours and you've still to cash up, that's usually the reason and not kindness. Most shop policy is there should be two of u at end of day in the shop anyway for that reason.
