Reviews of The Scottish Gantry

One of the best shops stocking a great selection of malt whiskies (along with other spirits) in Glasgow, having this on my route to and from work in Milngavie is a dangerous proposition! Often has a good stock of whiskies that may be sold out elsewhere (sssh, don't tell everyone!), staff are chatty and friendly, beer selection often contains a few interesting oddities you don't see elsewhere (actually, I wish they would expand on their beer selection!) The best thing is being able to sample some of the malts for a reasonable price per dram, before you commit to a full bottle. I reckon they should open a dedicated whisky bar all in itself...

Since moving from Finnieston to Bearsden last summer, we've been regular visitors to The Scottish Gantry. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly, particularly Alan, and I have enjoyed all their recommendations. I'm primarily a beer and gin drinker, and their selection of both is really well curated, but if you're a whisky or wine lover I think you'll get even more out of the shop than I do! I'm so grateful to have a local shop like this - I just love it!

Easily one of the best beer, wine and spirits shops in the west of Scotland. Alan and his team have a real passion for what they do and are always extremely welcoming and helpful. The whisky selection‘s not too bad either!

Excellent service from phoning Fiona in the Stirling shop to collecting from Alan in the Milngavie shop. Nothing was a bother and managed to help with my request. Alan very helpful and knowledgable about the whisky. Looking forward to our next visit when we are more back to normal. Shop has a great look and stock. Great parking just a minute away from the shop and the start of the West Highland Way!
Pick up a bottle for a "wee dram" to help you on your West Highland Way walk to Fort William.
Great job!

Great shop, staff very helpful and had a great knowledge of their products. Lovely shop I could have spent the day there as there was so much to see. Did not feel any pressure to buy anything.

Fantastic selection of whisky all in one place. There is much more than Scotch though - craft beers and gins too.
Definitely worth a visit when in the lovely Town of Milngavie.

Great shop with an extensive range of wines and spirits. Owner exceptionally polite and helpful. Well worth a visit. Prices seemed okay although I'm no expert.

Excellent whisky shop in Glasgow and Stirling. Exceptionally helpful staff who have a passion for good whisky and gin.
They also sell Scottish beers and ales.

Really nice selection of alcohol, friendly and helpful staff. Slightly dearer than elsewhere but not by much so well worth supporting local shop. Will need to make a regular visit.

Fabulous little shop, stocked to bursting with all sorts of lovely whiskies, plenty of gins too if that's your thing. Quirky little shops like this need supporting during covid, picked up a great Bunnahabhain here for 40 odd quid, nice unpushy service and chat, can't get that in the Asda booze aisle...

Visited and made purchases multiple times. The staff are very friendly. As an infrequent drinker it is great to have them on hand to give recommendations on what to purchase as gifts.
