Reviews of The Offie

Massive range of beers, such as lagers, ales, ipas and wines. Good prices for a products you will not find in local shop or big supermarkets. Always enjoying a chat with the owner. Lovely person with great knowledge.
Five stars from me. Highly recommended!!!!

Discovered a new favourite beer place, so much to choose from and ones you can't get in the supermarkets. Well worth a drive out even if it not local, guy in there knows his stuff too and will help you decide what you'd like.

Great selection of ales from local brews to countries far and wide! Lovely little shop, ask for anything and you'll get knowledgable help and friendly advice. Parking: don't try to park on the doorstep - just park nearby and have a few minutes walk.

Always love popping into here! Fantastic independent store that offers a range of high quality beers from around the world. A vast knowledge of products from the staff and always a pleasant experience. We always come away having bought something new and exciting. Expect to pay a little more than you would down bargain booze but don't be upset by this. 100% recommend.

Incredible shop packed with amazing craft beers and wine. Super knowledgeable gent, well worth the journey.

More of a destination than a shop - the Black Books of the Leicester beer world, but thankfully minus Bernard! Amazing range and real finger-on-the-pulse stock makes this easily the number one place to visit when you need to fill that plastic box in the bottom of your fridge with something more life-affirming than a bloody vegetable...

Murray is a really nice guy spent time with me explaining the beers. I got recommended this chap from Derby World of Beers. He spoke highly of it and I was not dissapointed. The only gripe I have is the opening hours which when you like me like a drink, I cant drive there to get more. But when you get there it is like you heaven. He knows his stuff. Hes a great guy but please Murray open early as I like to get nice beer to kick back with at about 1pm. I will have to got sober till 4.20pm. But a hell of a place as my liver scans show! Parking to get your fix is night mare!

Visited the shop with a friend on a work related matter. This is a small shop selling a good variety of beers and wines. Very impressed. The mature gentleman (I believe the owner) was very friendly and welcoming
It was a pleasure to meet him.

Great place for crafted ales/beers

The go to place in Leicester to get interesting beers!

Fantastic offie for beer and cider lovers - with added bonus of decent wine and spirits selection. A genuine Alladins Cave, it's been established for well over 20 years and Muree in particular is a pleasure to chat to - knows his beer. Lucky enough to live nearby but well worth making the effort even if you live a little further afield.

An absolutely great selection of proper craft beers, with everything from Verdant to Neon Raptor. The gents that work there are so genuine and know their stuff when it comes to the subject matter. Possibly the easiest way to spend £50 on a few beers without even thinking about it. Plus I get to replenish my Lindemans supply every time we pop in 😊

A really good place to buy a variety of beers and ciders. The guy who runs the shop is very knowledgeable and so is more than welcome to recommend certain beers. It is a bit pricey but definitely one of a kind for Leicester

A massive selection of beers, 80% of which you won't find in the supermarkets, and loads of wines as well. Knowledgeable staff can help you make wise choices. All it's got against it is the cramped interior and some rather eye-watering prices.

Amazing shop, I travel from Milton Keynes as often as I can. Beer selection is amazing. Staff always friendly and up for a chat. Wish I was more local and could visit more.

One of the best beer shops in the country: and has been consistently excellent for decades. The German selection of beers is always a top treat
J. H.
A large selection of beers and wines with a few ciders. New beers arriving weekly, more expensive than your normal bottle shop so I don't buy regularly. I've been sold a few beers past their BBE date. Parking can be a nightmare.

Insanely huge selection of beers from all over the world. I have never seen so many varieties in my whole life in one shop. Magnificent. I will be going back regularly.

Wish there were more shops like this, we so enjoyed our shopping experience, nothing was to much trouble and the knowlede was second to none . If you have a special occasion and want to impress your guests with a wine or beer list this certainly is the place to visit . Definatly will be returning .

Really friendly and knowledgable staff. In time and time again and always go away with a great selection of beers. Steadily working my way though the range.

Always a pleasure visiting The Offie! Love chatting everything beer with Muree, oh and have got some belting beers for this weekend 👍

Amazing selection, fantastic knowledge, the best beer shop I’ve ever been to!

Their sensible opening hours for life in the twenty first century, and their selection of foreign beers nudge it up to a 4/5. But their prices 😅
J. H.
Great range of beer, served by very knowledgeable staff.
G. B.
Excellent selection of beers and very helpful and kind staff. Only negative the really high prices.

If you don't know what you want to drink then this is the best place to be. If you do know what you want this is also the place to be. It's a little more expensive because it's independent which also means there's no choice like the range here for miles around. An amazing place with knowledgable and friendly staff.
If you're in the area it's a must visit offie.

Great off license. Beer heaven. Concise selection of excellent wines. The best location for procuring blushful hippocrene.
C. G.
Wide range of wines and beers. Wines not available in your supermarket and a pleasant knowledgeable patron.

Murray does great wine, bears, and spirits.
Great choices.

Absolute treasure trove in the heart of Clarendon Park. You won't find a better off license or a more knowledgeable proprietor in the East Midlands

Great knowledgable staff. Very friendly. A smorsgasborg of craft ales from across the country and beyond. Something for every taste

Nice and friendly staff, quite good as a convenience store on occasion as they just have those little bits you need.

Nice but a little boring in terms of decor and break ales

Really helpful and knowledgeable guy in there. Recommended the best lager in the world!
