A real gem of a find up near the cathedral in Bailgate area. Eclectic mix of stock from island malts, deluxe Irish, unique gins, bourbons and mead. Run by a lovely, knowledgeable couple, kept in line by their lovely Spaniel. A real find!

Great place to get a range of different alcoholic drinks. I was served by a very kind lady, I think it was her and her husband there. Might be wrong though. A lovely place at the top of Steep Hill, past the cathedral and upwards through the town. Hopefully you guys can give it a go! Take care

The few whisky shops I have been in the staff have been very knowledgable and friendly and open to give advice if needed , what’s invaluable if you are looking for a gift or just starting your whisky journey. But like my self and many others who have been a whisky enthusiast for over 30 years hear lies the issue . You can buy the same whisky online for 10,15 or even 20 pounds a bottle cheaper , what’s a pity because I believe in supporting local shops and they need to make a profit and employ people , the issue lies with taxation , sometimes the distillers and bottle flippers . Just my opinion ..

I didn't know we had such a fine selections of liquor in the city. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I went in expecting nothing and came out with a whisky I'm enjoying very much.

This is the finest Whisky shop I know. Clearly there are others all over the UK, but within at least a 50mile radius it must surely stand unchallenged. I travel a round trip of 60miles to visit for special bottles & have never been disappointed. The shop is stocked literally from floor to ceiling & not just Scotch single malt whisky, but blends, Irish whiskey, gin, rum, cognac, liqueurs etc. An amazing place.

Wow while visiting a wife’s relative outside of Lincoln, we had visited the Cathedral as you do and it’s stunning to be honest. Then I found this magical little shop, being a Scotsman I was drawn in. Even more surprisingly the shop assistant allowed me in with my black Labrador, and she then processed to give him a biscuit treat. The Whisky and Gins in the shop are fantastic, and it was great seeing the John Paul Malt on the shelf. I purchased the Dam Buster Gin and glass which is absolutely out of this world. I wanted to get a nice bottle of single malt over to a dear friend of mine in the U.K. I live in the U.S. and wanted to order from a local shop that was close to my friends house so I wouldn't have to pay international shipping charges. After a Google search, The Lincoln Whisky Shop seemed like the best place to order from. I wasn't sure how to facilitate the order so I sent in a message through their on-line contact form. I received a message back, first thing next morning from one of their helpful staff members. They told me it would be no problem to facilitate my order and make the delivery. After I submitted my payment info on-line, the charge was denied due to my U.S. billing address. The shops owner, Nick, promptly sent me a follow up email advising of the issue and suggested several different options to complete the order. He suggested sending payment via PayPal as the best way. After sending payment, he quickly confirmed and my order was delivered the very next morning. He then went above and beyond, contacting me again to confirm they had made delivery. I would like to commend Nick and his staff for kindly and professionally walking me though the process to complete my order. I highly recommend The Lincoln Whisky Shop and hope to one day make an in person visit to this wonderful establishment.

A lovely cosy shop that is stocked from floor to ceiling with spirits of all varieties. Gin, Vodka and Whisky to name a few. Great service and knowledge from the nice lady in the shop. Not the first time we have used and will not be the last. If you want something special in a bottle....come here.

Great old style bottle shop with lots of whisky, gin and other spirits available to try. Some stuff available you can't find elsewhere as not selling online. They also organise events which are very popular.
