M. S.A fantastic local wine shop which also stocks a range of spirits, deli items including cheese and charcuterie as well as wine glasses, cocktail shakers and some cookware. Great for last minute gifts.
The guy who owns it is REALLY knowledgable about wines, friendly, and can guide you to the best selection depending on budget.
Lovely spot too for a drink out the front in the sunshine.
A. A.What a brilliant shop, the owner Matt Day is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There is a great range of good quality wines at good prices. I will be back here regularly!
There is also a lovely seating area outside and the toasted sandwiches that we tried were delicious, not to mention the rose slush puppies!
Matt also told us that there will be wine tastings happening when they are allowed to which sound really interesting!

Great selection of wine with easy drinking bottles under £9 through to some fancier but still excellent value ones. Love the setup out the front too with barrels to lean on whilst enjoying a glass with mates after work.
Matt has always been super helpful and welcoming with his recommendations to match what I’m cooking without blowing my budget. Highly recommended

Not only ‘that place for the date night wine’ but also great prices on a wide range and all price levels. The owner Matt Day is a real star with a long list of accolades behind him. Also low corkage costs allows excellent value drinking in the al fresco bar! Loved the weds wine tasting also - educational even for the boomer wine geek!

The selection of wines is wide ranging and has clearly been very carefully curated to offer quality at every price point. There are some extra special bottles in the basement for anyone looking to really push the boat out.
The staff are always friendly and knowledgable and the selection of meats/cheeses may not be huge but really delivers. Also a lovely place for a class of wine and some charcuterie.
I won't buy from anywhere else locally.

C. S.Great small shop with a surprisingly large wine selection for its size, but don't expect to find all the most famous brands. It's the place for big wines, not for big big names. But it's not only about wine, try the cheeses and the other products he has, you'll get surprised! (please try the Raclette sandwitch, that's fantastic!!!).
The owner, Matt, is not a "seller", he won't try to sell you the most expensive bottle/label/product he has but he will give you his honest opinion on every label he has or pairing he'd suggest, if you ask. He will not disappoint you!
Masterclasses are held there, great times, great pairing and great teaching! I personally tried the cheese and wine pairing masterclass, it was great, I definitely suggest it and it definitely won't be the last one!

F. R.Great new addition to the bustling high street and lovely neighborhood of Wanstead Village. Fantastic selection of wines and spirits to suit all price platforms and budgets, as well as some wonderful artisanal cheeses, meats and other snacks to enjoy with your drinks The owner of the store was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to source a particular Kerner wine from South Tyrol which is often only available through hospitality. The introduction of the seating area at the front is great , s is the the very sustainable fill-your-own-bottle model that he has for two organic wines. I am yet to try the toasted sandwiches but they look and smell utterly delicious!
b. w.Just walking past and then thought so why not! We were on en route to the Cuckfield and spotted the Billetcart Salmon ice buckets. Two bottles of the rose later and a couple of glasses of some very good white Burgundy we had a great time, it must be so popular amongst the Wanstead fraternity. The team are so knowledgeable and friendly, we will definitely be returning.

So many wines to choose from! The owner was really helpful in narrowing the selection down to an easy choice. This is my new destination! Can't wait to go back!
