I being the partner of the previous reviewer can authoritatively say that she was completely wrong! Although this shop may not have the history of some of the others, it’s pie and mash is as authentic as it gets, albeit without the rusty cutlery. If you love pie and mash as much as I do, then this establishment cannot be missed. Do yourself a favour and and head down here asap for a great value meal that can’t be beaten.

Genuine Pie Mesh really comfy place to have a meal. Staff is really helpful and welcoming. Must try atleast once if you’ve never had it before. You can also order food online and by calling them for a takeaway. Has a Washroom.

Fast food and well priced. Venue is very clean. Easy access and well attended. Not a venue where tourists where go - perhaps it should be! The signature dish of jellied eels is different and recommended for the more adventuring tourist who wants a taste of the local food.

Tried this Pie & Mash shop for the first time yesterday as my local was closed and this will now be my pie & Mash shop of choice! Couldnt believe the shop is owned & run by the staff that used to run Cooks in Shepherds Bush!!! Food was 10/10 at Cooks & is 10/10 here. Wont be going anywhere else.

Traditionally an east-end staple, I was very glad to see Golden Pie open in SW London, quite a few years ago now. I've been a regular customer from the start. The pie and mash with liquor is top drawer, consistent and highly recommended. The staff are lovely and the cutlery (fork and spoon) are as they should be. Victorian fast-food at its best.

You can't go wrong if you want a decent plate of English cooking here. OK, there are nice ethnic restaurants next door and along the same road, but sometimes you just want a nice, substantial meal that hits the right spot. This place will not disappoint

Very friendly. I've eaten here many times and I've tried lots of different P&M shops and this is as good as any I have been too. The pie, mash, liquor and eels have have always been spot-on. Where else in London can you get a hearty home cooked meal for £3.50

One of my favorites. It has that old world charm which you can't but relish. The pie is obviously and importantly really good as well. And the people behind the counter are always really friendly!

I asked the staff if they could do me a large order early one morning for me to take to Dorset for my daughters 50th birthday!!!!!! Not only was the order ready and waiting for me their was a bottle of chilli vinegar and extra liquor etc!!!!! Even when heated up that evening it was DELCIOUS and very much appreciated by a family of Pie and Mash fans. All service was above and beyond!!!!! Highly recommend!!!! Totally 5 Star. Jean x
