Amazing variety of whiskies in the basement with very reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and professional enough to know when to leave you on your own. Definitely my No.1 go-to-place for whiskies when in London!

I visit the shop about 1/2 times a year, or every time in London for a bottle. The staff are Amazing. Told them what I was wanting to try and were really helpful. This year was first time I took my Dad, who had been looking for a whisky with a specific taste. I told him to ask, and the staff member (sorry didn’t catch his name) pointed a few out explained the difference, & the bottles we both selected could not of been more spot on. See you soon. Anyone interested in Whiskey... this is must-stop shop! Whether you are looking to buy or understand more about the different palates, regions and trends in whiskey, the staff are very helpful. Located on two floors; you will find a wide range of spirits from gin, vodka, beer, Porto, rum, tequila etc. on the first ground floor (along with accessories) and the lower ground is exclusive to whiskey. They offer a wide range of bottles from Scotland (separated by region), Japan, US, continental Europe, Ireland... including a generous offering on collectable and vintage bottles.

Excellent service from the team in the store and an Aladdin's Cave to explore. You'll find the standard range from distilleries, rare bottles and non core distillery releases (noted a lot of Ardbeg committee releases, and a bottle of Dark Cove), and your super expensive status bottles like Macallan, Bowmore etc. Scotch heavy as you'd expect but with a huge range of Irish, Japanese, American and world whisky. Look forward to going back.

If you’re looking for a whisky, this is the place to go! Knowledgable staff can guide you to whisky your palette will appreciate. Single malt, blended whatever you fancy. Wine tasting party options available. There’s a toilet downstairs for relief if you had too much to drink. Although no coat/bag hanger in the toilet so make sure you don’t have too much to fumble around. No baby changing facilities (for obvious reason). Other spirits / alcoholic beverages on offer too but check them out after you’re bored with the whisky offering. Otherwise why would you be in here @The Whisky Exchange?

This is the Aladdin's cave of whisky, tequila, cognac, vodka, mezcal and gin. The range here is mind blowing, the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They also are happy to search for unusual spirits which is helpful. I have a Chinese friend who doesn't speak English fluently and I thought either myself or his wife would have to translate, well it ends up the love of fine whisky doesn't need translating, he left buying three bottles probably at the hundred mark each and everyone was very happy. Long may the whiskey exchange reign. I loved attending the cognac event. Anyway if you want amazing range you must go here. Buy la!

Fantastic service. I was looking for a specific product and they didnt have it in stock, I wanted another specific item which they didnt have in stock but the customer service was exceptional. These people know their whisky. When my first request could not be fulfilled I was guided and assisted to choose a similar whisky at a similar price point (which is something not many whisky establishments do, other places always direct you to a higher price point). I made a good choice and got great value for money. The selection alone is worth a visit. Hundreds of whiskys, all tastes catered for.

Best place to get a special single malt in the centre of London. The selection here is fantastic and covers most of the range on the Whisky Exchange’s website. My go-to Whisky shop. Superlative selection of whiskies downstairs from the reasonable to the obscene. Friendly, very knowledgeable and passionate staff who are more than willing to guide you to your ideal whisky, based on your preferences and mood, and not necessarily the most expensive one either! They host regular tasting nights, both free and paid for, and are quite generous with free tastings if you're serious about buying there. They lose a star because the prices there don't match on their own website, however this is offset by the great in-store experience and service.

Large store, be sure to order online a week in advance if there's something you really want. Obviously there selection is skewed towards mostly whiskey but they have a curated collection of other spirits as well. A better selection of American whiskies and at a reasonable charge than most places in the states!!

The collections and selection here is extensive and incredible! It's amazing to see so many brands' rare vintages in one place. The Japanese collection is very impressive as they have many of the rare Karuizawa that are very difficult to find. They also have a miniature sample section of many different liquors where you can get a taste before buying a full bottle. They're in the same shape and packaging as the full bottle and make great stocking stuffers as well!

What a shop, experience. As a fan of Gerrys in soho I had been stunned to find they did not have a select bottle of Rum from india I had been searching for, the team there put me in touch with the whisky team. The store has a brilliant selection of drinks, spirits from around the world, cigars etc, but its the team, their helpfulness, knowledge and ability to find the oddest of spirits that match a meal, event or occasion that is the winner here. A must for any cocktail fan, spirit drink. Their pricing is very good and never over the top, all in all worth it.

Visited the whisky exchange together with someone who can afford a good bottle of scotch. Sadly the person who helped us started with giving us two peated scotch to taste. I'm not a total expert but I do know that you don't start a tasting with peated whisky. Further more the person helping us didn't listen to what we wanted and liked. I also got the feeling he got bored with us. At the end the person I was with wanted some cigars and he noticed that again the salesperson gave a poor advice and again didn't listen. I do however praise the whisky exchange with the amount of choice offered in the store.

How had I never heard of this place before?!! I wanted to show my friend a place to buy whiskey and after a few minutes investigating online I heard of this. It’s placed inside Vinopolis which is famed for their extensive wine range. The Whiskey Exchange had such a good variety (apparently it’s one of the largest) that we stayed for over an hour and half chatting to the knowledgable staff and trying samples. If you ever need a query don’t hesitate to go here!

Unless your pockets are tremendously deep, I recommend restraining yourself to sampling the guest tastings that show up from time to time and purchasing one (or maybe two) bottles of the good stuff. Extra props for stocking Green Spot! Staff has always been extremely knowledgable and helpful in my experience and have always listened attentively to my tastes and desires in a whisky before leading me to some new bottle that i'd never thought of trying before.
