Reviews of The Wine Parlour

Lovely host, who was very accommodating despite the fact we didn’t have a reservation on a Saturday night. Great selection of wine, and nibbles to go with it. Would throughly recommend!

Stumbled across this wine bar after dinner with my partner on Saturday night, it was quiet inside but this meant we received excellent 1:1 service. We were asked about our wine preferences (as broad as you like) and based on our flavour profiles we were offered multiple samples, a brief background of each wine's origin and then a very reasonably priced glass! Overall very pleasant and I would definitely recommend for all wine lovers of any caliber.

Lovely wine bar, great selection of wines, cheese ( bread is awesome too ). The team is really friendly and they have a great passion and knowledge of wine. It is my local and whenever I invite my friends to this bar, they always love it too

Not ideal for large groups but perfect for small groups of two, three or four. As you pay about £30-£40 for a bottle of wine, it might be nice if you got a small bowl of complimentary snacks, like you would on the European continent, but otherwise it's a great place with a lovely vibe in the Brixton Village Marketplace. I will definitely revisit.

Great wines by the glass/carafe/bottle. Not that many options but they options they serve are all delicious. They know what they are talking about here when it comes to wine. There is a little walled in courtyard in the back with about 4 tables for outside seating. Would be good for a date or meeting up with one or two friends, wouldn't suggest for big groups

Good range of wine to try by the glass. Snacks are overpriced IMO at £7 for a small slate of sausage and £3 for bread and oil. £5 and £2.5 would be more acceptable. Did get a bit loud in there as music was quite hight so had to talk over it.

If you love either small vineyard wines, great service or a quiet secret garden this is your place. My only objection is I didn't know about it sooner.
Short well selected wine list with craft wines. A Vermouth flight with English Vermouths were on the menu and we as well as every other table ordered it.
Our table had a range from the snobbiest winesnob to the "I want a glass of red please" and we we're all very happy
Will go again

Great wine but weird smell in the wine parlour

Lovely atmosphere! The sharing option for 2 is great, cheese, bread and oil were delicious!

Owner was lovely and willing to talk about the range of wines on offer, while also having the patience of a saint for someone acting slightly obnoxious with a healthy dose of mansplaining (not me😄). The person serving our drinks wasn't as generous with her time (it was less than half full when we arrived so it couldn't have been because she was busy) and, used her measuring stick to make sure not a single drop extra was poured, which I've never seen used before but that might just be me.
It can definitely get expensive in there and the cheese platter was underwhelming but, would definitely go back again especially as they have an ever-changing selection of wines and because the owner was great.

This is one of the few really good wine bars in London it's one of my go to places when I am in South London. They have an amazing selection of wines and now they have introduced as well g&ts which is great . The atmosphere is great the place is quiet but has a nice vibe to it perfect for a quick drink or a date

Lovely relaxed wine bar. They sell exclusive wines, but at reasonable prices and the place is in no way pretentious. Great for a pre-dinner / pre-Ritzy drink.
They also do excellent tasting nights for 12 people at a time. Chix kept the evening fun and informative and served up some delicious wines. Had a great time!

Nice place. Half wine shop / half wine bar. Cute little courtyard which is a quiet retreat away from the busy streets of Brixton. I had a glass of the Cuvée trace negre 2015 - would drink again

Always a good selection of wines here. It's a nice place to grab a glass. They do wine courses for those that want to develop their knowledge.

Fantastic wine bar that I always look forward to visiting.
A small, yet excellent selection of wines served in fantastic Italian red wine glasses.
You simply can't go wrong here.

Love this place. Cosy, great wine and service. Little bit cramped at times...

Lovely little bar and wine school, with very knowledgeable staff and a cosy atmosphere. Their wine options are fantastic to drink in or out! I would recommend anyone try their bombes, they are fantastic.

Although super local, we have only been here once. The service was friendly and wine okay but the ambience is a bit wanky. Feels cold and pretentious, especially given the wines they stock.

Excellent wine from independent, small wine-yards. Knowledgable and friendly staff, we just love to drink wine at The Wine parlour

Nice wine and cheese and charcuterie platter. Nice atmosphere, good start to a date evening. Friendly staff, go!
J. C.
A nice place to meet friends for a quick bottle of wine. What wasn't nice was when one of the staff passed wind and had to open the door in a particularly cold November night!

Poor wine quality, surprisingly bad for a wine bar. But their cheese was really good.

Great little wine shop. Both for drinking or buying. There is also a small selection of snacks.
