I ultimately came away from here with what I wanted: a good beginner's cigar that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, the service was not at all friendly. I explained that I wanted a basic cigar for a beginner and was very open about the fact that I knew nothing about cigars. I had passed by several opportunities up until now with other shops because they didn't seem like a place that would offer me the experience I wanted. I came to this shop in particular because it looked like somewhere genuine, where a knowledgeable staff member would walk me through everything, explain things to me in a friendly way and recommend a suitable product. What I got, however, was cold and condescending treatment and pressure to buy a particular item. For example, "I get people coming in here all the time asking me for a 'basic cigar'". Thanks for making me feel like a nuisance. "I could sell you this £6 cigar, but you'll walk away and think it's nothing special, what I really want to sell you is this £17 one". Like, I get it, but there's a nicer way to say this. Explain to me why, tell me what the flavour profile is like, tell me a bit about how they're made and what makes one better quality than another. I asked what the next one up from the £17 cigar was and he said "What do you mean? Bigger?" I responded that I meant in terms of value-quality ratio. "It doesn't work like that." Okay, so explain to me how it works, you've got my full attention and my eagerness. It also contradicts with the fact he told me that the £17 cigar was significantly better quality than the £6 one, so it clearly does work that like to an extent. I was willing to go for a higher price and the staff member just shot me down. Ultimately I just gave up and bought that one. Even when he asked if I wanted it cut or not and I told him that again, I'm new at this, explain to me how that works, I was still looked down on. This time, less in words and more in tone. Only when I actually purchased the cigar did he say "Don't inhale it, and enjoy it, it's a nice one, it's Cuban". That was the only time I felt some level of encouragement and advice. And you could have told me it was Cuban at the start, not after I purchased it. Maybe I caught the guy on a bad day, but I came away feeling like I was intruding rather than being welcomed into a new pasttime.

I'm finding it more difficult these days to find a place to buy my Erinmore pipe tobacco. I did a quick Google search for some and Havana House came up first in the list. I quickly found what I was looking for & was really happy to find that not only is their tobacco cheaper than the other place I buy it from but also delivery was free. The whole purchase process was effortless and my tobacco was delivered very quickly. Superb service from start to finish, a highly recommended shop 👍🙂

Just walk into this shop. The Seller name Tommy is extremely a nice person. Very patiently person for me that want to get more info about pipe since i feel to try it for my first time. Also helpful person for me to get idea to buy a gift. This shop also so special from the others that i had visit before is the internal odor in the shop are so nice. Since the tabacoo’s of pipe selection their put all in the jugs that created richest nice odor. The price also for me is very reasonable price. I get my Cigars, Pipe, Lighters & Tobacco pipe. My choices of gift a folding chrome pipe holders. Thank you Havana House Oxford you make my day.

I love this cigar shop, this is the main place where I get my Al Capone Pockets Flame Filter Ciggarillos. There beautiful little cigars dipped in Cognac. The staff are so friendly and helpful so as a result of this I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants high quality cigars.

Everything a traditional tobacconist should be with professional, affable and knowledgeable assistance provided and an exceptional assortment of tobacco, cigarettes and cigars, complemented by a fine selection of scotch. I can recommend the Turkish blend for it's taste and aroma, but whatever you might be looking for I'm certain you will find it here. Highly recommended.

I'd give it five stars if I was still a smoker, as the tobacco is second to none and the whisky selection is top notch. But as a vaper, the staff don't seem to know or care about stock, and once sold me liquid past its sell by date. Vaping is the future, and they could do more to tap into the emerging market. If you're a smoker you'll love it.

Nice shop in a very nice location. Great selection and i was left to nose around the humidor in my own time. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was a slightly cold reception from the staff. Didn’t really ask if I needed any help or anything in particular. Ive been a customer on and off (my travels permitting) for 30+ years. Seats a pleasure to pop in. and be served by polite helpful gents. As a woman, I guess I don't really fit the profile of their average customer, but I always come away with the most exquisitely scented and flavoured tobaccos and the most stylish accessories. I can't praise them highly enough for flying the flag for us smokers, and for keeping good old fashioned standards high. They'll always have a cherished place in my heart. Fantastic range of products from knowledgeable staff. I miss you all but have piped back after 12 years. It's like being transported back in time to my grandads era. I

What a charming shop. Fantastic selection of whisky from Scotland and Japan. The humidor is filled with real treats and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. See you guys again in the near future.

Last time I went in, it was near closing time, and the staff were exceptionally rude, telling me to hurry up or get out- albeit it was near closing time, but certainly the most rude encounter with staff in any store i have had in a long while. Having said that, in the past the staff have been fine, so I give it 3 stars on the assumption they were both in a rush for something very important that day...
