Reviews of Bitter Virtue

There's an excellent selection of beers with some meads and specialty ciders. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. There's so many beers of different price points, flavours and strengths. There's definitely something for everyone if they like beer. I don't but the cider and mead is good and my partner loves the beers I bring back.

Excellent selection of fine beers of all kinds from breweries around the world. I bought Tilquin, Lervig, Basqueland and Mikkeler/Boon and a Siren glass. The woman there was really lovely.

Great place. A wonderful selection of craft beer and the owner is very knowledgeable.

Absolute amazing bottle shop. The selection is enormous with seasonal beers, limited editions and everything in between. An absolute must for any beer lover.

Bitter Virtue has an outstanding choice of beers, some well known, many obscure (UK independents, Belgian etc). There's nowhere else like it in the area. Well worth a visit.

Great selection of beers introduced by a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable pair of employees (maybe owners!)
I asked for recommendations based on beers I liked and was given some to try which were well received.
A touch expensive for some of the beers but I would happily pay for the variety and to keep, what I suspect, an independent place like this going. Perhaps a loyalty scheme could work?
I enjoyed the beers very much. I shall return.

Best selection of craft and world beers, as always. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Will always recommend. Look forward to my next visit.

Amazing customer service even in lockdown from Chris and Ann at Bitter Virtue. Wanting to buy as a gift and having no knowledge on beer, I emailed Chris with a price range and a couple of pointers recommended by a friend; he selected 8 beers for me to come and collect the very next day which my partner was very impressed with! Thank you so much

A wonderful little place with probably the widest range of beers I've seen. Kind staff with a genuine passion for the craft of beer and a limited selection of generally delicious ciders and meads. Out of the way but still easily acceccable with room to park. If you like beer do yourself a favour and swing by.

Amazing selection. This place is an Aladdin's Cave of Wonderous Ales. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
