Hidden craft beer Gem of Balla. Really good selection of beer on tap. Lots of other quality products like gin and coffee. Made to feel as welcome as a fart in a space suit. Staff could be welcoming and keen to answer questions / showcase their products. Instead I'm made to feel bad for asking questions. I would have stayed longer and spent more money if we'd had a more welcoming experience. I'd still stop here and enjoy some very good Welsh craft beer.

Found this place whilst in Bala. Brilliant distillery, shop and bar. Staff where lovely and friendly and a real chilled vibe about the place. So much choice not just in terms of the shop and an absolute plethora of wines beers and spirits. Plenty of beers to choose from from the bar. Will definitely return.

Lovely place with a huge selection of beers and ciders from all over the country. Very friendly staff who are happy to recommend beers if you're not sure what to try. They also distill their own gin, although I didn't try it. Highly recommended.

What a gem! Amazing selection to buy and take home but also a very lovely and friendly place to have a couple of drinks. Try the Blue Slate gin, it’s made on the premises by the owner and it’s pretty special. Will be taking some home as a souvenir of Bala!

Great selection for takeaway beers and great spot close to the lake to just chill out. Came in for a drink after fishing for a few hours. We ended up getting some to go before heading off on the next adventure 🤙

Absolutely excellent visit today, with a welcoming service from Yvonne, and couple of glasses of Obsidian Welsh stout from the tap and a very tasty charcuterie board, all at a very reasonable price. Finally got to take away two different cans of very interesting coffee milk stouts - a favourite of mine. Spoilt for choice. Many thanks.

Great choices, the rebel selection of was ace, such an cool little craft beer shop, the only problem is that you will want to take so many of them with you 😂👌🏼 also has some lovely local fresh ground coffee that I highly recommend.

What a great little find! Floor to ceiling choice of craft beers, gins, whiskey and coffee amongst other things! 15 beers on tap! I went for a Mango IPA and it was really good! 100% could spend a day there! Took a few cans home with me which were massively enjoyed.

Really great beer selection and a couple of snacks, good atmosphere and really helpful friendly staff makes this place a must visit location in Bala. We had the 2 x 3 one third pints to taste a selection of draft beers, all chosen at random by our host. When he brought them to the table he explained the flavours and brewery's. For 2 pints (6 one third glasses) and a giant pack of pork scratching it came to just over £11.

We came for beer tasting, with 12 of us. We were warmly welcomed and given a great selection of 10 beers. This was just £15 each. We were expertly talked through the beers, which were very varied. The staff were particularly friendly and good fun. They also even very kindly accommodated one awkward individual who just wanted to drink lager

Nice bar , nice drinks different, only criticism came last year only small criticism but valid in my opinion no lemon for vodka or gin lime only , and had no lemon last year with small supermarket opposite saying that nice bar unsual with great off licence.

We popped in on our way back from a walk and what a lovely shop. Full of fabulous craft beer all the way from the cutting edge of Craft with the likes of Polly's Brew Co to more traditional Real Ales. It'll become a regular stop on my way past from now on.

This is just a great place to visit in Bala even if you don't like beer, (they have a great selection of cider, wine & spirits too....), but it helps if you do! The extensive selection of Welsh brewers is the focal point, but also a decent helping of famous international brews if that's your thing. Tap room makes for a great place to try before you buy, or just to pop in for a quality drink in relaxed surroundings. Absolutely not to be missed.

Nicest welcome ever and the owners don't float over you like hawks. Peruse and sometimes they have little tasters available. Excellent selection, especially of cider and mead (which is very rare!) And an astounding selection of Gin. If you are in Bala you must stop by :)

Fabulous and rather quirky place. Looks like a wine shop, has racks of different spirits. Seating areas, it's own little bar, local beers from little taps built into the wall. A range of glasses for gin etc, you can purchase. Give it a try. It will surprise and amuse you

Second visit in last few months, absolutely incredible little place to enjoy different wines and beers from all over the world. Didn't feel quite as welcome or as warm as our first visit when we were ably assisted by a very friendly lady who wasn't there on our second visit. Also a bit disappointing having spent over £ 50 not to be let off on 10p for our last round of drinks, rather than breaking a £ 20 note my wife had to scrabble in bottom of handbag to find some loose change. Nevertheless highly recommend it to all family and friends and hope they are a great success.

A little gem of a shop. Don’t shop for your alcohol at the coop or bargain booze, shop here. You walk in, it smells a bit “funky” but has a fantastic selection of beers and wine. The wine I bought was actually corked but the beers (gluten free) were stunning

Great variety of small batch brews and distilled beverages, along with niche nibbles so its a great place for gifts. It makes a lovely change from the faceless stock them high sell the cheap chain off licenses. I hope they make a business success of it for the long term.

Stori comes highly recommended. You couldn't ask for lovelier owners. If you want to talk about booze or need help choosing, they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We drive for 40 minutes to come here because they have a great choice of beer -especially Welsh beers. They have a well chosen selection of wines and some very interesting spirits and liquores, some of which are available to taste. They've also got a selection of pumps with a variety of ever changing beers: drink on or take out!

Lovely little place in Bala. Enjoyed a beer while playing draughts. So much to choose from. Interesting artwork. Only a shame the male owner is so disengaged and unfriendly to customers! Lost a star for that. Service is everything. Fortunately he was buoyed by the lady of the establishment. Recommend.

We also bought glasses to best enjoy the beers. They also have various draft beers to enjoy on site, of course we took advantage! (Original) Appena arrivati in Galles per trascorrere le nostre ferie siamo passati da loro a fare scorta di birra. La scelta è ampia e molto incentrata su produzioni locali. Siamo stati ben accolti e consigliati. Abbiamo comprato anche i bicchieri per gustare al meglio le birre. Inoltre hanno anche varie birre alla spina da gustare in loco, ovviamente ne abbiamo approfittato!
