Derek came to replace my UPVC door handle. He was very friendly and dealt with some curve balls from previous rogue cowboys. He really went out of his way to make sure the job was done right and to a really high standard. He even gave me some locksport tips, so I'm made up. Excellent service, Derek attended my property within 30 minutes of my initial call! Any anxiety felt about using someone that I had not met before was dispelled upon meeting Derek. He was extremely professional from the outset, a really pleasant chap who put me at ease by explaining everything he was doing to gain entry into our property. He then replaced the necessary locks perfectly all whilst wearing the appropriate PPE, disinfecting everything he had touched (with gloved hands) and for a really reasonable cost. He had to do some extra work to allow for a smoother operation of our new locks (not essential) but did this at no extra cost to the quote given during our initial phone call. Following his visit I would unreservedly recommend Lockkeys Locksmiths and Derek.

On Sunday morning our front door lock gave in and resulted in us not being able to secure the front door. I rang Lockkeys and spoke to Derek who was very friendly, gave me some advice and assured me that if we needed him he would be no more than 30minutes (I have never had contact a locksmith before so advised I would ring back, after a trip to B&Q). After coming home from B&Q (being overwhelmed by their range of locks haha!) i again rang Lockkeys and spoke to Pam , who again was so lovely and friendly and said Derek would be with us within 30mins. True to their word, Derek was at our house within 30 mins to fix our lock. We had a different type of lock in which Derek needed to go to the suppliers for, so he put us a temporary fix in for the night and came back this morning (less that 24hours after his first visit) fit us our new one. I was so made up with the professionalism, promptness and how friendly both Derek & Pam were and will only be going to Lockkeys in future for any of our locksmith needs. Derek came out to our property after an attempted break in to replace our damaged locks and replace all other doors with secure anti-snap locks. Derek took the time to explain exactly how the burglars had broken the old locks due to their vulnerabilities. Also offered to replace the broken locks with temporary locks if he could not immediately source the correct size anti-snap cylinders, that way we could at least secure the doors again until anti-snap cylinders were in fitted. Would not hesitate to recommend Derek for all your locking needs and would urge all to replace locks with more secure anti-snap cylinders for peace of mind. Thumbs up.

An elderly neighbour had accidently locked themselves out and left his key indoors. Tried calling another "local" locksmith, who said they would take 1h 45m to come out, and hadn't a clue about our location despite stating they were a mile away. Fantastic service: I moved into my new house a while ago and the very next day, I’d locked myself out, with no spare keys available! I called this local company and they were available to come out within a few minutes! I was going to work so asked if they could come around later (as the door was locked anyway!) Rang Derek just after 9 a.m. Said he would be with me at 11-45 and he was spot on time. Quoted me a price during my phone call for what he thought was the problem from my unclear description. He also insisted I try to get at least three other estimates for the job to prove how competitive his price was. Upon his arrival he found out the problem was not as bad as I had described and was able to complete the repair at a much cheaper price than the the initial quote.
