Placed a message in a local social media forum, asking for recommendations for a locksmith to deal with a “stuck shut” bathroom window. Huw @ Lockfit was recommended and lived in my village (have always looked for local tradesmen for anything done in my small terraced house) so he fitted my agenda. Huw called at the end of a very busy Friday for himself to assess what was needed to sort the issue. It must be said also that our bathroom window has old and has an unusual locking mechanism for the size of the window. He returned on Monday morning with the necessary tools and set to work but the window still wouldn’t budge. Not one to admit defeat I got a call from Huw saying he had spoken to a colleague and purchased a new tool that was felt would complete the task. Sure enough this morning the stuck window was sorted. Huw is a very professional , personable and trustworthy chap where nothing is too much trouble , obstacles are overcome and things get done. I was kept informed every step of the way. Would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Huw to anyone who wants to listen. Indeed at the same time as being called for my job , he sorted my next door neighbours bathroom window as well. Thanks again Huw. Good work !!!

Called Huw on New Year’s Eve about a problem with a window not closing. He responded immediately and was with us within a few hours. Had to go away and source a hard-to-find part for us and then came back to complete the job efficiently. He also kindly sorted an issue with our front door free of charge on his way out which we hadn’t even noticed! I called Huw for an issue with my back door lock in April. He came out within 2 hours and sorted the issue. On 12th May there appeared to be another issue with the same lock and Huw came out well within 24 hours and sorted the problem. He didn’t charge for the visit as he kept to his word over the guarantee and kept in contact with me throughout the day to update me on ETA. Can’t fault the service friendly and helpful even when it was end of the day. Well recommended.
