Alistair was really helpful a few weeks ago when my car would not open. I was uncertain if my breakdown service would be able to help; they were on their way and could not be contacted. Alistair came to my vehicle regardless and offered advice. The breakdown service were successful, but Alistair would not take any payment for his time or fuel. He was so friendly and helpful, I wouldn't hesitate to call him again, thank you!

Incredible service. We called Alistair to cut us a new spare key for our car. He booked us a slot on his calendar and arrived on the dot. Took our existing key, cut a new spare one in 15 minutes in his van and I paid on his card machine from my front door. Gave me a receipt and off he went. Great! Replacement (duplicate) Volkswagen Key and Remote Fob arranged the next day. Much better than the official VW Dealership in Edinburgh who quoted an extortionate price and said it would take 2 hours, and then 14 days for the key to arrive. Alistair did it in about 15-20 mins at a very competitive price. Key works perfectly.

Saved the day, what a service, i called as soon as the shop opened and and the appointment was for the following day 1500. That’s a fast response, however even better when I received a call from Alistair the same day and offered his services in the afternoon. 15 mins after arriving the job was completed. I can't recommend Burgh Locksmiths enough. I lost my car keys and within 12 hours had a new set (one remote one mechanical) all for less than half the price of going to the dealership. Great experience using Burch Locksmiths. I lost my car key and was dreading the worst, after phoning a few companies who quoted a lot more and gave differing timescale (all inconvenient and some as king as 3 weeks to order a key) i was lucky enough to call Alistair. I needed a new key for my Renault as the buttons stopped working. Called to get a quote and if they have spares in stock. They do and about 10mins later, my key card was programmed and ready to use. Much faster and a little bit cheaper than an official Renault Garage. Overall very friendly experience. I would most certainly recommend them.

Excellent service, first in having our front door lock replaced (children had lost too many keys) and a batch of spares cut and delivered; THEN returning only a few hours later when I'd managed to shut the door before checking my keys were in my pocket, so all the new keys were inside the house! Efficient service from a friendly female staff member with a nice chat whilst my key was cut. They are the only Ultion official locksmith in Edinburgh and the keys are only £9 each which is around half the price of getting one direct from Ultion. Recommended them to my friend who had 2 Ultion security locks fitted at around £60 each which is a small price to pay for the level of security. The locksmith also cut and delivered 3 spare keys the next day. I can't recommend this place enough! 5 star all the way and a great local business.

Excellent service from Alistair at Burgh locksmiths. I live in Livingston and Alistair had no hesitation in travelling to me to cut and programme a key for my vw golf. I can't recommend Burgh Locksmiths enough for car key replacement. I only wish I'd spoken to him before wasting most of a Saturday waiting for Timpsons to try (and fail) to make me a replacement key for my VW Caddy. Alistair did the same job for about same price as Timpsons quoted, only he did it in about ten minutes in my work car park and the key works perfectly. He was easy to deal with, knew what he was talking about and he called back when he said he would. I was quite concerned after my visit to Timpsons, but everything was straightforward.

I'd lost a remote locking key for my Vauxhall Corsa - it was due back at the lease company in less than a week so was starting to panic! Bought a van 8 months ago that came with 1 non remote key and had been looking to get a new remote key programmed with the use of the remote and cut. After shopping around and getting quoted stupid money from local dealership (Vauxhall) and various other so called auto locksmiths i found Burgh Locksmiths. My kitcar ignition key broke off the key fob. Club member thought key was an ancient British Leyland design but it had no letters or numbers on it. Alistair patiently made me a key but unfortunately it didn't work so he gave me a full refund. I offered to make a part payment to cover his time but he declined. Very honest helpful guy. Good service on the key cutting front, about a month later I came out of Boots and tried to start my van and nothing happened. I thought it was the key so phoned Burgh Locks. After going through the rigmarole questions I could tell he didn't think it was the key but made a long and pretty quick journey to me anyway. Within 30 seconds he was right - it wasn't the key but infact the starter motor. 10 out of 10 for coming though. Didn't charge me a penny either. Top guy.

I needed a new set of keys cut for my flat so (after a disastrous experience at Timpsons) headed to this local locksmiths. The service was quick, cheap and best of all the new keys were sturdy and actually work!

Shop was closed during advertised business hours. I appreciate they may be short staffed, but arriving to a closed shop and having to make alternative plans on the spot is far from ideal.

Could only access the cabin of my van manually with my key as the central locking was not working so I was locked out the back and side door off my van, I was quoted £97 from ford just to look over the van and £170 from other auto locksmiths as they thought my key need re - programmed I phoned Alistair at burgh locksmiths he looked over the van, reprogrammed a new key to find that wasn't the problem and found out it was a blown fuse in the fuse box, this was all done in 10 minutes of me arriving and free of charge, felt like I saved £170, really friendly guy and would be the first port of call if in need again.
