Based on a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Carl from Lockforce around lost keys for a patio door. Carl was available the next day and was punctual. He explained what my options were and promptly carried out the work of opening the door and fitting a new, far more secure, lock. There was no pressure on selecting the most expensive option, just factual explanation. I asked him to look at a few other things while he was here and he was happy to oblige, fixing those issues too. Cannot recommend highly enough. I called lockforce because we could not unlock our door. Spoke to Carl and even over the phone immediately got the feeling that he was trustworthy. He arrived exactly when he said he would (less than hour after I called), managed to get my door open within minutes despite the lock mechanism being completely shot. When the lock collapsed and the door couldn’t be closed without the lock being replaced, we had no alternative than to call out a locksmith. Carl was great. Job took longer than I think expected but he didn’t try to charge us any extra than quoted. We also had a couple of other locks changed for more secure ones and agreed a separate price for this work. This is the second time I have used Carl and I can highly recommend him. This time it was to change several locks that needed improving. One of the doors needed some extra work as it had dropped slightly and Carl did this with no fuss or extra charge. He also changed a fourth lock free of charge and gave lots of advice about other issues. He arrived on time, is polite and friendly and then just gets on with the work. He won’t rip you off and is someone you can trust to do what he says. Good communication as well by email or text.

Carl is an excellent and hard working professional who did a great job installing our locks. We value our security and he spent time to understand our needs and provide us with the best solution. A year after installation, there was a problem with our wooden door as it expanded too much with the sunshine, and the lock would not close properly. Although this was a problem with our door, Carl came out very promptly and spent a couple of hours making sure it worked perfectly again and even replaced a bolt that had become broken for free. I returned home from work early evening to unlock my door pulled the handle down to open and all that happened was a big cracking noise and then the handle didn't work at all.
