very pleased with Fort+Knox+Locks work. They showed up at short notice to help with a stuck barrel lock with broken key inside it! Lock was replaced in no time at all. really appreciate it!

I’ve never dealt with a locksmith before but David certainly went above and beyond what I was expecting. He’d quoted me for a new mortice lock and replacement night latch cylinder for my new flat. However, he ended up putting in a lot of extra time and effort fixing a bunch of other stuff that was wrong - I think the only way he could’ve been any more thorough is if he’d given me a new door frame. And he only charged £10 more than what he’d quoted despite the extra time and effort he went to in order to sort the other stuff out. He was also really pleasant and swept up afterwards (even though I told him he didn’t need to, as I was needing to sweep up anyway!). Thanks to David I went from having a door that could get panned in by a toddler, to one that will probably take a few attempts with a battering ram to force open. I really can’t recommend him highly enough 😊

Great service by Fort Knox Locks. David replaced a 5 lever mortice lock which was showing sign of wear and tear. It was faulty on locking and unlocking. He also fitted extra security in a secondary Yale lock. He said he would be there at 10am and he was. I am very happy because I now have a more secure entry door. Thank you again Fort Knox Locks.

If your looking for a reliable, reasonable, good job, look no further. This chap is fantastic. Replied to all our queries straight away. Had to come back a second time as he needed to order a part for our patio doors. Was due to come at 3.15, arrived at 3.15. Offered to fix my front door as it was sticking, free of charge! Couldn't fault the service from start to finish. First class. As a customer all you want, which is rare these days, is for tradesmen to do a good job for a reasonable price & turn up when they are supposed to. Will definitely recommend & use in the future.

I had a problem with my key not turning to lock/open my back door 11 days before Xmas!!! I called Fort Knox Locks & left a message for David Dredge from East Kilbride to call me back. David returned my call within minutes. He was very helpful & arranged to come out at a time suitable for me. David arrived at the time agreed. He was very pleasant & explained clearly what the issue was & the 2 options that were available & explained the pros & cons. There was no pressure in what option to go for. David replaced my lock within minutes, provided me with 5 keys, gave me a peace of mind & a very professional service. The cost was a fraction of the price compared to another local company who were going to charge between £70-£100 just for a call out charge! I got a new lock & 5 keys for £60 : ) I would highly recommend Fort Knox Locks : )

Called David out recently to change a lock on my patio door in my recently bought flat as the previous owner didn't leave one. He established that the whole locking system as faulty and offered a temporary fix whist he sourced a new locking system. A few days later he was back at the flat to fit the system. As can be seen from previous reviews David will go the extra mile for you and his prices are very reasonable.

Brilliant service! David called back within minutes of leaving him a message and agreed to come and look at the locks later that night. 3 out of the 4 door locks were changed without any issues. The 4th needed some additional work as the PVC door covered the screws to gain access to the lock. David was able to pinpoint the exact spot and drilled through to the lock. No mess at all and no hassle! I cannot recommend him enough.

Used David recently after the lock in my patio door broke. The lock was discontinued,but he managed to find someone that had one. After quite a few problems trying to get the old lock out he succeeded and got the new one installed. There must have been easily four times when he could have thrown the towel in and called it a day,but he kept trying and wouldn't give up. I would highly recommend this company to any of my family and friends. The big guy is an absolute gentleman.

We were locked out on a Sat night and having nightmares about locks having to be replaced etc. Fort Knox were there within the hour and with some contraption from mission impossible had my door opened in minutes, and even apologised for the high call out fee which I actually thought was reasonable...top service!!!
