W. T.Had my steel door installed from ASL yesterday, and after much delay due to covid i'm very pleased with it. I’ve just moved into an apartment and wanted a door that was more secure, fire rated and would allow me to retain the existing appearance on the outside of the door whilst matching my new internal doors as part of my refurbishment. ASL came out very quickly to do the survey and were very helpful in getting exactly what i wanted in terms of matching to the existing door on both the outside and my internal doors inside.
This door is expensive! there’s no getting away from that. However, its without doubt a quality door that provides a significant security upgrade, and peace of mind that provides. This was also the only door on the market I could find that was made from steel, fire rated (had to be as I live in an apartment) and allowed a different design on both sides of the door (also a requirement to keep external appearance the same).
Its really finished off my refurbishment and I’d definitely recommend for anyone in an apartment who will have similar requirements which another door won’t meet.

They have immediately arranged a locksmith who arrived within 20 minutes, unlocked in 30 seconds, and repaired it giving detailed explanations. I was amazed by their professionalism and will definitely call them again in case of emergency or in need of replacing the locks or doors.

O.ASL Locksmiths are a great company. I've purchased 2 doors from them and every time it's been hassle free and very professional service. The doors have given me no trouble until now (door purchased in 2003) so after almost 15 years this was the first time I had to call them for a service, they did attend the site, did the job promptly and in a tidy manner too. My other door did need more work because it's exposed to the elements but after I was taught what to do (if) problems arose again now I don't need to call them about it.

J. M.I was very impressed by the quick response by ASL to an emergency situation when my elderly sisters flat was forced open by the emergency services. A new temporary door was measured up and fitted within a matter of hours of my call to them and the old Victorian door was removed to allow an exact replica replacement to be made, incorporating current building standards.
The new door together with a completely new frame and architrave has now been fitted and I am more than satisfied with the excellent workmanship that the helpful and friendly team displayed throughout the whole process.

My daughter's front door was matchwood but ASL came the same day, went the extra mile to source the right door and locks, stayed until after 11pm and came back next day to finish the job - even re-did some of it when we found some of the original door frame. Took care of all the details and did a fantastic job - new door is better than the original :-)

ASL were able to identify the building to which the key belonged through their records since they had fitted the locks and cut all the keys and then they called me and I have been able to let the tenant know to contact the cab driver to get the keys back.
This is they type of service you get from a good reliable local business who not only take pride in what they do as part of their job but go that extra mile and take the time to help a customer who will remember this in the future.

My lock broke and they came within an hour, and it was £288 to replace the lock and for the 'emergency callout' (to be honest, I don't think I realised I was requesting an emergency callout as I was inside at the time and able to exit). Still, efficient and professional service.

I. W.Very friendly locksmith. Was very apologetic about being later than hoped and managed to get me back into my flat. The front door lock would have involved drilling and £70 +VAT replacement bit. So, he climbed over our gate/fence at the back (very agile!) so he could try picking the back door. It was a very fiddly job, as the key was left inside, and would have been easier to drill out but he persevered so as to save me the £70 + VAT.
Hopefully won't need the services again, but if I do I will use again. Would recommend to friends and family too.

S. C.I have been really impressed by the level of service provided by ASL steel door.
I contacted them among other doors installers and I chose them for the level of details they gave to explain what I could expect and for their reactivity. They replied in a day with all the information I needed.
They explained the all process that went on accordingly to what was stated. They warned me there might be a bit of delay because of products shortage (COVID or Brexit can't remember what they told me). There were effectively a couple of weeks delay but it was way worth the wait.
A team of polite and considerate craftsmen came to install our door and I am very happy with the result that could not be better. Beside, they created very little disruption and left the place spotless.
I strongly recommend them.
