They had a lot of knowledge about shoe colouring n polishes. My watch battery was changed whilst I waited, it cost £5 n had a 12 mth guarantee. The battery man in Plymouth market is cheaper but my watch battery only lasted exactly 12mths.

I had new soles put onto my favourite boots that I thought were beyond repair. I am absolutely stunned at the quality, feels like I have brand new boots again. I literally can't work how they have done it so well! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who also advised me on how to care better for my beloved boots! After a recommendation from my dad about his leather cycling saddle, I took mine to Gordon, and I don't think I could be more pleased with the result. The saddle looks and feels wonderful, and Gordon is an absolute gentleman to deal with - polite, friendly, and full of good advice. A true craftsman, really, but still offering brilliant value for money. If you have the sort of issue that Gordon deals with, I think you'd be mad not to use him - it really is as simple as that!

Superb service, tremendous tradespeople, can't fault the quality of workmanship. Resurrected my favourite pair of cowboy boots and so reasonably priced. Re-soled in leather (with real old fashioned stitching, not just glue)! And new heels as well for only £35, cheaper than a new pair of cheap shoes. Not only that, but as I needed them back same day, the guys leant over backwards and dropped everything else to accommodate me. Within 2 hours, job done. Thanks guys, I can't praise you enough, how refreshing to find craftsmen who care, without being charged an arm and a leg. Well done, I'll tell all my friends and will be back with another pair

Coming from someone who goes here at least twice a week I can confidently say this is the best place in Plymouth for anything to do with keys, locks, shoes, watches and engraving. I have really tested this company for all they've got, I've had boots repaired, shoes shined but most importantly I've had all our companies locks done with them. We manage a load of shared houses in the city, so any key cutting we have done with them, almost all of our properties have a master key system installed which has been supplied through them. Gordon, Ryan and Jacks customer service is second to none, they help out with any problem I have. I could keep rambling on about how great these guys are but take my word for it.

Today is the third time I’ve taken a key that Timpson failed to cut to these lot and once again they’ve managed to get one cut and for cheaper. Also had multiple watch battery and strap changes 1 of which wasn’t even bought from them which they did as a favour. A business that looks after their customers and I won’t be going anywhere else.

I first stupidly went to Timpsons in Sainsbury’s and they told me £12 for one single key which ended up costing me £1.50 in cobblers and keys. If you ask just about anyone in Plymouth where to get a key cut they will recommend you to this place. Conveniently placed at the bottom of town and you can even get 15 minutes free if there’s a spot! Honestly couldn’t recommend enough, these are the types of business which Plymouth should be keeping alive. Thank you very much.

I had my walking boots resoled here. I've since been on two extreme walking events, one of 60 miles and one of 100 miles. The soles are indistinguishable from factory fitted soles. They are firmly attached and even having walked long distances on them they still look as good as when they were fitted. If I have to find a downside the only thing I could say is that the tread pattern of the sole tends to collect more mud and stones than the original. But that is being really picky.
