L. A.My massage therapist friend highly recommended Ellen. I have a trapped nerve in my neck, which had caused so much pain on initial onset that I had to call 111. I’ve now had 3 sports/remedial massages with Ellen over the last 3 weeks and I can report they have all been excellent and have greatly relieved the tension and pain associated with my condition – and have been more successful than the osteopathy I’ve had alongside the massages. I described the pain I was feeling and what had been diagnosed by the NHS Physio I saw (cervical radiculopathy – pain in the shoulder/arm/hand caused by trapped nerve in neck) and Ellen, via feeling with her hands, moved to exactly the spots where the tension was greatest and carried out remedial massage on my neck, shoulder and jaw (I had let Ellen know that I grind my teeth/clench my jaw when stressed). The result really was amazing! Ellen also recommended I carry out ‘nerve gliding’ and upper body stretches (for which she emailed me the worksheets) at home and they have helped greatly (the NHS Physio agreed they were good exercises to do for rehabilitation). Ellen is not only highly skilled in sports/remedial massage but she’s also a really lovely person, super amiable and we have great chats each time I see her (but she is also very respectful of quiet massages without chatting). I can very highly recommend Ellen!

I’m really bad at self care sometimes and a sports massage and some dry needling wasn’t on the top of my list but training so much, not sleeping and having some niggles in my knee and shoulders it was 100% necessary.
This will be something I’ll be keeping on top of because being that tight and mobility being so off is not good for my training. Also being super tight in my lats has given me the worst headaches!

B. B.From the first to the latest massage therapy session I've had with Ellen, each one has left me feeling immeasurably better. Suffering from arthritis in my knees has meant a gradual build up of knotted tissue and poor body posture. Ellen's massage treatments have meant I no longer walk in pain and can once more walk down stairs in a normal fashion (rather than carefully taking one step at a time). M. P.I had terrible neck and shoulder pain and poor posture which gave me almost daily headaches. Ellen gave me 6 personalized massage sessions which made the pain and the headaches stop. I felt so much looser and more flexible just after the first session. Ellen also explained everything she was doing during the massaged which helped me to understand why the muscles were so painful and how to prevent it happening again in the future. She also sent me copies of exercises i could do daily to continue to keep the kneck and shoulder tension away. I will definitely keep booking in with Ellen she is fab and i highly recommend her!

Ellen gave me a 5 week course of massage and acupuncture therapy on an old injury I have on my sholder. She was very professional, friendly and made me feel at ease. She asked all the right questions in order to understand what issues I was experienceing with my sholder and adapted her approach accordingly. The therapy helped me understand my injury better and really helped reduce the pain. Ellen also gave me a lot of advise around simple exercises to strengthen the area and manage it going forward. I felt heard and properly cared for! I recommend her highly!! 🙂
