After years of on-going Pilates classes in a school/group environment, Kate knows me very well by now! This past year has been hard for all of us and I am so pleased to still be keeping up with Kate’s classes online via Zoom. Despite the classes though, it wasn’t a surprise when my back went again just before Christmas due to the nature of feeling ‘locked in’ in ‘locked down’- number 2- in a bedroom in the attic with a sloped ceiling!
Reaching a stage where I wouldn’t trust anyone else to touch my back let alone listen to anyone else, I reached out and Kate did not disappoint! After answering some Covid related questions the process of getting seen by Kate was effortless and quick. She came and met me at the door of Physiohaus and on arrival my temperature was taken and I was reassured due to everything being Covid safe. After a discussion regarding when I first started having severe back pain and the treatment I’d had, as if on a timeline, we then spoke about what had led to my back getting bad again and then discussing the walks, swims and Pilates classes I am doing currently. Kate made notes as we talked and I found that she was sympathetic and easy to talk to regarding some difficult memories.
Kate made sure that I was comfortable throughout the treatment and kept checking in with me as she worked. A few knots were found I’m sure and between the sessions I had, Kate had me doing exercises that would keep my back moving. I left feeling 3 inches taller every time and I cannot thank Kate enough! I am fairly certain that I wouldn’t be where I am now regarding getting back to the fitness levels I once was. It’s been one heck of a year for sure but I know that Kate is the reason for me, why the light is beginning to shine at the end of the tunnel. Thank you!

I've been doing Kate's pilates classes for a few years now, and they've made an immense difference to my general fitness, core strength, and maintenance through a sequence of injuries from my other sports. Kate's classes are good fun even when we're doing hard work, and she gives excellent feedback on our technique. Come and join us!

Kate has been treating me for a mechanical back problem since May . Initially with sports massage and more recently with one to one pilates.I am now upright and functioning and almost living life normally as a result ! Kate has given me the confidence to get moving . I started having sports massages from Kate post running injury, which helped so much I kept having treatments regularly as a preventative measure. I also take part in Kate's pilates classes, which are fantastic at targeted, focused exercises for runners and cyclists in particular. Since starting the classes I have smashed PBs in everything from 5ks to marathons depsite my ageing body :)
