A very smooth transition. I can't rate Pete and his team enough. I live near Reading and this made it hard logistically to buy a bike. Pete made it easy, sorted all the money stuff over the phone, discussed my Px like a gent and put me at ease with the whole thing. He then delivered the new bike and collected my Px. For what is a low fee when compared to the cost of travel/other delivery guys. He obviously spent some time looking at my old bike to make sure I was not pulling a fast one, so don’t get your hopes up if you are a chancer. In the first ride of the bike I noticed some play in the front brake, called Pete as the bike comes with a warranty. Anyone who rides, knows this is a thing that can develop easily and can be hard to spot, so I don’t hold it against them. Pete arranged for all the parts to be delivered and then covered the cost of fitting with my local mechanic.Making the whole experience easier on me. Honestly, if they have the bike you want, buy it with confidence and know you will be well looked after. When the time comes, this will be the first place I visit for a new bike.

Had been looking for a Triumph street scrambler for a few months. Usual story, main dealers too expensive and not returning calls. Then I saw a bike that Pete was selling. I called, which was answered straight away. I asked a lot of questions, as I was over 200 miles away, they were all answered immediately with no ahs or buts. The price I paid was so much less than all others of its age in other garages. I bought the bike on the Wednesday, organised transport to have it uplifted asap. Pete serviced the bike on the Thursday using genuine Triumph parts, stamped the book and stapled the receipt for the parts to the booklet. Treated the entire bike with ACF. I had the bike uplifted on the Friday and had it delivered to me in Scotland on the Saturday. The bike was spotless, perfectly presented and ALL the promised paperwork was there. Very easy and pleasurable experience. I will definitely be going back to these guys the next time i'm looking to add to the stable. Can't recommend enough!

Bought my XJR 1300 from Lincolnshire motorcycles a couple of weeks ago, had been searching for an XJR in pristine condition for some six months or so to no avail. One popped up on Peters web site one Friday afternoon. Gave Peter a call after viewing his detailed close up pictures and precise walk around video on his web site Peter he assured me it was in excellent condition and had been very well looked after. Travelled over to Peters the next morning and sure enough I had hit the jackpot the bike was the best that could be everything Peter had told me over the phone was real, I honestly could not have found my bike from anywhere else in such good condition for such a fair price. Peter is a top honest bloke selling top quality bikes and he makes a decent up of tea also. I was looking to part ex my Triumph Rocket 3 roadster for the same type of bike but a touring model as I wanted to take it with me to Spain as we are planning to live there. Pete had the perfect Triumph rocket touring for sale. It was exactly what I was looking for with the added bonus of a full alarm system fitted by Triumph & very low miles just perfect & I also had a walk round video sent to me so I could have real good look around the bike. Pete gave me a very good part ex deal on it. And a few days later delivered the bike to my door in person, and it was a Sunday! Pete completed all the paper work for me on site with no messing around & took my bike away. I believe I now own one of the best if not the best used Triumph touring in the UK & it has a private reg plate in with the deal. Just had my 2004 R1 delivered by Pete this afternoon and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Pete really is a true gent and clearly passionate about his business. After placing a small deposit on the bike I started to have apprehension that I may not actually be able to get the bike into my back yard due to the narrow passage at the back. Pete very kindly offered to bring the bike to me, let me try and get it into the yard and if not, he would take it back with him (this is the mark of reputable bike dealer). Bought a motorbike from Pete and Lincolnshire Motorcycles unseen after spotting an ad on the web. Not something I’d normally tend to advise, but after ringing Pete for a chat, and having him offer a very positive description of the bike, I decided to go for it. As it turned up (in North Wales, and for a VERY reasonable delivery cost), it turned out to be better than it had been sold to me over the phone. Pete hadn’t done it justice as to the quality of the vehicle, and it’s safe to say, I’m beyond happy with my purchase. I had done my research on Lincolnshire motorcycles prior to calling, and the reputation online speaks for itself. I think it only fair to try and build this reputation further and hopefully convince more people to buy from Lincolnshire motorcycles. They have been honest, upfront and deserve every credit where it’s due. I saw a BMW R1200RT LC on e bay for sale at Lincolnshire Motorcycles and I put a watch on it. I spent several days comparing similar bikes and after talking to Peter and a main BMW dealer I decided to buy Peters bike as he gave me the best deal. The transaction was very smooth Peter delivered the bike on a Sunday . Now down to my preference the bike was not suitable for me ... Last week I bought a Harley Davidson Sportster from Lincolnshire Motorcycles and I could not have been more impressed with the service. It is only a small garage with a good choice of reasonably priced bikes. When I arrived to see the bike it was ready for me and I found it exactly as described in the advert. I was shown all the paperwork and the test ride was arranged immediately. I bought the bike and arranged for it to be delivered on a date that suited me. It was delivered on time and with no fuss by Pete who took the balance of payment at my home by electronic payment. What made all the difference to me was it was not a huge bike showroom who sometimes put a large mark up on their bikes and pressurised sales. It is a small concern who do not SELL you the bike but they allow you to make the decision. Most importantly they are bikers not sales people. They know their stuff and have tested the bikes themselves. Ian knew the bike and answered all my questions. Truly excellent - Lincolnshire Motorcycles, though relatively small have super bikes and all seem very well priced. In many respects the bike i bought (a 98 vtr1000) was very much "the runt of the litter" but with only 12000 miles and in very good condition was (for me) worth the £1995 asking price so didnt haggle. Pete (who runs it) was very professional and knowledgeable, and his wife was also really nice, making coffees whilst i was there (and a soft drink for my young daughter who was with me and was very kind to her.) Unfortunately within a couple of days it stopped dead on me due to a blown main fuse, which seemed to be down to the battery. A new battery (and fuse) did not cure it so I contacted Pete and explained the situation. His response was fantastic, he immediately organised coming round to pick it up and get it fixed. The problem was identified as a faulty regulator/rectifier (which i now know is quite common on this bike) and he had this replaced with an upgraded unit and got the bike back to me as soon as the work was completed I couldnt have asked for a better response and i will definitely be going back there for my next bike.......if Heineken did bike dealers.......

Well I have to say pre sales experience was first class, small amount of pressure to pay ASAP but nothing to worry about, very helpful when I picked the bike up, however I did have an issue with heated grips failing to work all the time and my text and email both went unanswered, and that spoils everything for me, aftersales is key and here I got let down so I cannot recommend them, which is a shame as they seemed a nice outfit but I guess like so many people nowadays once they have your money they don't seem to care, when I buy again in 2 to 3 years I’ll buy elsewhere :( Hi Pete, I will be in touch in next day or so, sorry the review was anon, it's how i have my google accounts set up. UPDATE: OK So been in touch with Pete a gone through some things, it seems the email got lost and text message must have slipped through as well as he said he gets tons of text every day, which seems fair enough and to be honest i do believe him, so lack of comms coming back my way is fair enough after all were all human. Now moving on to the faulty heated grips, he agreed to sort them out by buying a set of Oxfords touring grips and offered £50 towards the cost of fitting the grips, which will help towards to cost, I have been quoted about £125 to fit them (London prices for you) so will have to put a bit towards it myself, however to be honest Pete did say if i can't get them fitted for £50 he knew some people in London that would do it for the £50 so it's my choice to pay over the odds, it's just i'm getting some other work done with this other dealer so will kill 2 birds with one stone. I have upped my rating to 4 star knocking one star off for the mix up in the first place, i do think it was just a mix up and NOT an attempt to get out of warranty or anything like that. Would i recommend Lincolnshire Motorcycles to my friends and family? Yes i would, Sorry Pete for the mix up I wish you all the best for the future and thanks for your understanding.
