I received my Eversholt II jacket today and it looks and feels amazing! The design and materials feel absolutely first rate. Ashley Watson seems to have pulled off the holy grail of a jacket that is AAA rated, fully waterproof and looks smarter than my previous non-motorcycling jacket did for when I get to my destination. I can’t wait to put miles into it and enjoy it.

The Eversholt MkII, fits like a glove!
Perfect in every way, every detail is carefully crafted to the highest standard! Honoured to be wearing such a beautiful garment.

Minimal Branding + Expert Craftsmanship + Solid Protection
Being in the US and riding for over 10 years, I’ve searched far and wide for motorcycle gear that *both* protects you and looks normal. It’s practically impossible- companies make way too much big-branded, logo-stamped, stormtrooper-looking gear. It’s only in the last couple years that I’ve seen some companies change or emerge with better options.
Ashley Watson is at the forefront of developing the ultimate motorcycle clothing. His gear makes sense- it’s super functional and comes with solid looks that a lot of riders, regardless of experience level, would buy if it was widely available. I know so many riders that prefer their everyday clothes because they can’t find motorcycle gear that just looks normal. This company solves that problem.
After stumbling across the Hockliffe overshirt 2 years ago, I ventured into Ashley Watson’s world. It was so cool to see his adventurous and thoughtful attitude, as well as his design process and goals. He obviously puts a ton of effort and love into getting the entire design and finish of each piece just right, and it shows that he does his own test trips.
My other riding tops (some cheap, some expensive) always came up lacking, so I decided to sell them all to snag one of the last Eversholt jackets for colder weather and a summer Hockliffe for warmer days. After two years of use, I can say if you have the funds for a high-quality jacket, these are worth far more than their price. I actually had to go back and look to see how much I paid because I enjoy and use them so much it doesn’t matter any more (that has not been the case when expensive gear didn’t work out). And the pricing of this gear is right on par with comparable products, many *without armor slots*- incredibly hard to do with a small company.
Ultimately, I have all I need for nearly year-round riding now (I don’t ride when it’s icy). I’ve done regular commuting, 14-hour rides on highways, and days getting lost on backroads and on trails for camping. I just added a rain shell to my summer kit and I’m good to go. I take out the armor for everyday use and when people ask/compliment, they are legit surprised when I tell them it’s motorcycle gear.
I feel the same about Ashley Watson’s gear as I do towards Vollebak’s- if I could, I would fill my closet with almost everything they offered and be set for clothes for life. They offer extremely well thought out products with the best materials and durable construction meant to last forever. Yes, you can find cheaper options, but these heirlooms offer the best value for price you will find. Best of all, it’s all I want to wear- on or off the bike.

The Eversholt Jacket has proved to be an excellent choice, and is highly recommended. Riding in bad weather is particularly satisfying, as the Eversholt keeps the wind and rain out even on long rides, despite the jacket not appearing too technical. Having purchased one of the first jackets at the launch in 2017, it continues to be a favourite and is developing a pleasing character of its own thanks to the quality materials which are ageing well. It's tempting to buy the second colour!

The Eversholt is the perfect jacket - on and off the bike! Functional, protective and stylish. I wear it everyday whether I am riding or not and simply love its comfort and looks.

Eversholt jacket.
I bought one of Ashley's first Eversholt jackets in 2017. This was a purchase of necessity as I needed a top quality jacket for The Great Mile rally held in September 2017. This ran from the Castle of Mey to the Lizard Penninsula - basically John O'Groats to Land's End. This was a 1,200 mile four day rally around much of the coastline of Scotland, England and Wales in predominantly awful weather.
The jacket was faultless and it remains my jacket of choice in the Autumn, Winter and early Spring months. It is warm, so well made and waterproof. The fourth day of The Great Mile consisted of 320 odd miles from Wales to the Lizard including trips over Exmoor and Dartmoor - all in relentless and torrential rain. The combination of the Eversholt jacket and my oversuit were sufficient to keep my body dry and warm. The same cannot be said for my legs, hands and boots!
I have recommended the Eversholt numerous times since I bought it and wear it on and off the bike. It is now a key piece of my motorcycle kit.

The Hockcliffe has become my most worn piece of clothing, versatile in style and the pockets are so useful. It's made expertly too (in the UK). Ashley Watson makes motorcycle clothing but if you don't ride, it don't matter.

Purchased the Hockliffe Overshirt. Well made, great options and incredibly versatile. Now one of my go to pieces of clothing. Service is up there too when needed to exchange for different size.

(Translated) Delivered quickly and free of charge in France, I have been using the "hockliffe" jacket for 3 months. I am fully satisfied with it: elegant, intelligent (I love the very practical "reverse pockets"), neat (materials and impeccable finish) and comfortable. A jacket without the slightest compromise. Which is rare or even unusual for motorcycle clothing.
Makes you really want to invest in the winter model 😬.
