Fantastic training centre and would highly recommend. I had never ridden a motorbike bigger than 125cc until 9 days ago but with Paul's expert training I've now passed both mod 1 and mod 2 tests. Can't thank you enough. If your reading this wondering who to go with, then look no further. Pit-stop is definitely the place to go. Super friendly with fantastic equipment. What more could one ask for

Fantastic place to go and try out riding a scooter if you have never done it before. All equipment is provided (helmet, gloves, jacket). Staff were friendly and encouraging. Overall, a great experience. If you're not sure if a scooter/motorbike is for you, have a go anyway, you have nothing to lose.

'Pit Stop Paul', IOW legend. Its been a few years since doing my licence with them, and I'm still recommending them today. It was £550 all in for my unrestricted licence and took 3-4 months before I was on the road. Pit Stop never felt like a test, or like you were nervous to get something wrong. It was like a ride out with your pals whilst being taught how to ride safely along the way. Passed CBT, Theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2 1st time thanks to these guys. I'd happily do it all again it was that enjoyable.

Fantastic, friendly, patient, calm instructing. Initially had a CBT booked for moped, but on the day decided I'd go for geared bike instead. I was a complete beginner and was in a group of 4. Instructor went at a suitable pace for everyone. Instructors built up confidence throughout the day. Shout out to the instructor who was incredibly calm, patient and encouraging when I missed two cycles of green light when I stalled on a hill start.. repeatedly. Excellent. Can't recommend enough

I would like to say a massive thank you to Paul and all the guys at Pitstop training... Having been involved in a serious accident a few years back (with many years of operations following & time to recover) I was naturally nervous about getting back on the road after such a long time. I contacted Pitstop training and had a chat with Paul (lovely bloke) who went out of his way to discuss my concerns, he took time to listen to me and gave sound advice. After speaking with Paul on the phone and seeing the genuine care/time he took to set my mind at rest on a few things I booked my CBT with him. I really can't fault Paul (or the other guys) and found them friendly/approachable and patient, thank you. The CBT was held very well and it was clear these guys care about what they are doing. All I can say is thank you for everything, it was a fantastic day and great experience with them 👍

Done my CBT on 13/02/22 with Pit stop training I had never road a gear bike before and was quite nervous but Paul was great took his time and went in to great detail on the bikes and how to ride safe. Gave me all the time I needed to get use to the bike and gears before going out on the road. And once on the road it was great had the best time doing it really good day even thow the rain and wind was crazy think it was Probably the worst day of the year so far with the weather but Dident stop use. And we carried on and passed my CBT. Iam definitely going with Paul to do my full bike license. Thanks again Paul and will be seeing you soon to do the full license.

Staff were absolutely spot on I would recommend too all. They showed plenty of patience and experience whilst trying to teach myself with a geared bike for the first time. Also I felt at ease with the hospitality they showed with plenty of banter ( humour ) The bikes themselves were all well looked after and maintained and modern which was nice. loved it! thanks for making us feel at ease and going through everything in detail! ...even i understood it all..lol. the instructors really care about you as an individual and really do want you to do well!!..its not money orientated.. Pete was fab going through the ins and outs of the bike and i learnt a lot with him through the day. I’d not been on a bike for nearly 20 years, so I approached getting my A licence with some apprehension. Paul and the team at Pit Stop were diligent and extremely professional throughout my training. I did CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 over 3 months and with lessons to suite my working schedule. No hidden extras in the costs and super easy to communicate with. If you’re on the island looking to advance your 2 wheeled skills - you couldn’t do better. 👍🏼

Highly recommend you to take the free hour long taster session if you haven't been on a bike before or for a really long time. I would have ideally liked perhaps a half-day pre-cbt taster as my confidence wasn't up there. I completed my cbt today but as the trainer said, rarely made it over 30mph on a 50cc scooter. Trainer was massively competent, perhaps more so suited for those who were aiming at bigger bikes. Perhaps more options to give an absolute beginner more confidence but start to finish, very comprehensive and knowledgeable.. Sam- you have the patience of a Saint, dude!

I can't rate Paul and Pit Stop highly enough. I was actually doing my Mod 1 up in London earlier in the year (but never got to the test due to CV19 lockdown) so am able compare with another trainer. I really felt Paul gave me a good appraisal of my skills and helped me focus on the things I needed to improve to get through my tests. It all felt very relaxed which was great (and very different to the other trainer's approach). I passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time with few faults (none on Mod 1) and had good fun doing it too. If you're thinking about doing your CBT or Mod 1 and 2 this is the place to go!

As a novice rider over the age of 50 I was careful when choosing my training provider. Having asked around, pit stop training has the best name on The Island and is highly regarded throughout the south of england as a provider of top quality motorcycle training. My experience provides solid evidence that this reputation us well deserved. I passed the CBT with Pit Stop on one of their Honda 125s then graduated onto one of their Honda CB 650 R bikes. I received expert tuition throughout, perfectly balanced between constructive criticism and encoragement.The result speaks for itself as I passed both mod 1 and mod 2 at first attempt, within a few months of starting training. I cannot praise Paul and his team highly enough, huge thanks and look forward to catching up soon.

It's hard to think of or find the right words to describe the experience I had with Paul, which is an amazing guy and very hard to find people like him, expecially in london. I took the decision to take my training with Paul on the isle due to the fact of people's horrible attitude in london and plus was surprised to see a 100% 5 star rating on the guy, which makes you wonder what the hell does this guy do that is different to other training centres. Paul just makes you feel relaxed calm and allows you the time you need to get yourself used to the bike instead of feeling fearful of making mistakes and being shouted at which then starts a chain reaction of mistakes. I enjoyed every moment with Paul and had a few laughs. I am never ever going to forget the experience. The isle of Wight and Pit Stop training is the best place in the WORLD to take your motorcycle training. Don't think twice or even once about going to Pit Stop training, just do it and take my word for it, you will not be disappointed.

Did my mod 2 with Paul back in September durring the scorching heat wave...it was a really hard weekend to be on the bikes all day durring that heat but we sweated and pulled through it and really had a great time...Paul is a brilliant instructor who knows what he's doing and helps you alot..I had a great weekend doing mod 2 and Paul made it feel as though you weren't even doing a course..just riding and learning from a pro....definitely recommend Pit stop training to anyone looking to get into riding..
