Reviews of David Silver Spares Ltd
B. B.
Great to see the David Silver Honda museum open again after nearly 2 years. It is laid out really well with each bike having model background as well as spec, together with a timeline along the wall going chronologically. It goes from the earliest Honda to the RC30 and NR750. I had 2 hours there today until the closing time and still didn't cover everything ( I did spend time reading about each bike ), so will need to return soon to finish off ( though this was my 3rd visit ). I would class myself a more of a Suzuki man, but looking round I have developed a liking for small Honda's from the 70's now ( the CT, CL and SL ), and have also while on previous visits, ended up buying 3 bikes from the used sales ( in an eBay world of over priced dealers I find Silvers more realistically priced ).
A lot of models are represented. Not sure if it will be added to in the coming years or not ( there are a lot of bikes there and the space is quite full ) as probably the 2 strokes are lacking ( NS250R / NSR250 models) the NS400 which I would say is quite iconic, the MT / MTX/ MB / MBX which was my era as a teenager in the 80s and one of my favourite bikes I wish I had added to my small collection when they were cheaper, the Dream 50 of the late 90's.
You will not be disappointed with the displayed models though which must be the best collection of Honda's outside of the Honda museum in Japan.
Staff were really friendly ( thanks Mark! ) coupled with a free coffee machine should you need a break half way around 🙂

I have ordered parts from David Silver Spares over the years and have found them to be very reliable with good customer service when needed. Very helpful and post as soon as they can if the parts are not in stock it shows when ordering, if they are in stock my parts arrive within a couple of days. Great service keep up the good work.
J. H.
I have placed a few online orders with David Silver and always received prompt delivery.
When I needed advice regarding a part Nick has been a great help.
I recommend this business wholeheartedly.
D. M.
Fantastic company, very professional, excellent website ordering service, couldn't have rebuilt my RC24 without them, and 'parts Nic' is the man! Thanks again and looking forward to the next Honda project!

What a great hidden gem. Me and my mate rode here to check it out.
The guy on the reception was polite and helpful.
There are loads of bikes to view whilst drinking the free tea and coffee. They have toilets inside the museum.

What a collection! This is a must for any Honda enthusiast or bikes in general. We were the only ones here today and were left to browse the collection. I enjoyed reading the information notices about each bike, while sipping my free coffee. There's a reading room upstairs along with an off road room. I wish I had the time to just sit and read it all.... Maybe next time!
R. R.
A bit awkward to find. Could do with a sign to the beginning of the business park where it is situated. Would have loved to look round the bikes but unfortunately it was closed being a Sunday.
N. G.
Picked up my new exhaust system, all ready and waiting for me by the counter. Visited the museum, incredible selection of Hondas took me right back to my youth. Well worth a visit.
M. B.
answered the phone within seconds, confirmed all necessary parts i required were in stock and available for immediate dispatch ,unlike many sellers on eBay ,who are advertising things they don't even have in stock,my advice, don't waste your time and just deal with these people directly, knowledgeable of bikes as well ,which was nice as many people these days are simply sales staff with no actual bike experience,i wont be using anywhere else in future ,excellent customer experience and highly recommended .
A. Q.
Good reason for a ride to the Honda Collection. Excellent selection of Honda motorcycles in date order ,you can see the development.
P. C.
Difficult to find, but worth persevering, could be worth expanding with some later models but in all fairness they'd probably need a bigger building. Loads to see and lots of videos too. A bit expensive at £10 but still glad I visited. Some really lovely examples of Honda bikes.
Also of note are the bikes they have for sale if you're after a classic Japanese bike including Yamaha Suzuki & Kawasaki.
D. D.
Great customer service. Sourced a manual I couldn't find anywhere for my honda, amd posted to me promptly. A diamond of a company
C. C.
I just purchased a new full exhaust system for my Honda CBX1000Z as the original item had rotted out as per normal.
New system came the next day , very well packaged and is a quality replacement item that fitted with no dramas and lined up perfectly.
Would recommend A+

Really enjoyed my visit here. Lots of nostalgia. Great to see some of the bikes I've owned in the past. Recommended, but ring them first for directions, as it's at the back of an industrial estate.
G. C.
Well worth a visit especially if you are a honda fan.
P. S.
Great place especial if you love Honda motorcycle. Very clean and well layed out.
J. G.
Ordered my part Sunday night, part arrived just over 36 hours later, cracking price, superb service, perfect colour match, cheers DDS Ltd
A. W.
Great company carrying a vast array of bike parts even for long discontinued models
S. C.
Parts are all good, range is fairly good. The delivery though... oh..my..god! £6 delivery the only option for £70 worth of parts? That's because they used Royal Snail Special Delivery guaranteed next day before 1pm - MUST be signed for and cannot be left in 'safe place', but like a lot of people I'm at work every week day so it turned out to be the most expensive, slowest and annoying delivery service I've had in years!
A. R.
Used them many times and obviously good, I've knocked a mark off because of the pricing. At first the pricing is decent, then there's vat, then postage, compared to ebay !
I still go back at times though.
C.
Excellent. I ordered a part for my old honda which isnt available as a high quality aftermarket part in my country (germany). The website is made well, very tidy and with a lot of high res pictures. It was a breeze to order. The order processing and shipping fast super fast. The packaging was perfect. The quality of the part I ordered is superior. Im very happy and will place another order soon!
J. C.
Hi If you own a Honda motorcycle David Silver Spares Ltd is in my experience is a great place to check out for your parts from big bikes down to Honda dax st70 and st50 range I have saved a good deal of money over the years..Jamie.

After unfortunately dropping my 2007 Blackbird I needed to replace the damaged generator cover. Looked online, found David Silver Spares, they had the part and gasket in stock, I ordered it and it arrived 2 working days later. Thanks go to all at David Silver Spares for a first class service.

What a great museum of Honda motorcyles. Really got my restoration juices going.
T. S.
My go to place that'll be sure to have my old VFR parts. No necessarily the cheapest and be aware of postage. However, saying that parts have always arrived and quality genuine Honda or alternative. Clearly stated in website.
Highly recommended and very helpful if you call or email.
J. W.
Great party. Celebrating the Honda sohc fours.
d. s.
Only used website but well organized and lots of parts even for my old 1977 bike
A. A.
Great trip down memory lane!! The purpose built building really made a difference!! Well worth the £10
S. v. N.
Excellent customer service! Ordered a decal set, but it never arrived. Friendly customer service refunded everything, even delivery costs. The delivery was without track and trace, so they could have made an issue about that I guess.
C. W.
Ordered carb parts for my 1981 Honda CM400T . Perfect. Thank you.
D. M.
Always helpful with a prompt and polite service. Highly recommended.
M. W.
Ordered spares for my 1974 CT70 on Friday afternoon and they were in my post box Saturday morning. Stunning service as usual.
G.
Good collection and well laid out. Well hidden on an industrial estate
i. b.
Great for classic Honda spares👍
M. B.
If you are interested in Honda bikes, especially older ones, this is the definitive place. A bit hard to find, at the back of a small trading estate, but amazing. Allow at least an hour. Drinks are available. A bit pricey, but oaps are half price, and if you remember half of these machines, you qualify. The tickets are impressive, too.
I. S.
Cheaper than the parts quoted for by a local bike garage, excellent staff offering great support on a Saturday. Massive stock of Honda parts, a must know about for any Honda owner!
P. L.
I have been using David Silver Spares for many years 1990 gl1500 1990 pc800 2001 ST1100 they've always been helpful packaging really strong and secure and more cost effective than the main Honda dealers and a good place to visit if you're into Hondas
B. X.
ordered parts for my honda cb500/4. since they haven‘t arrrived after 4 weeks (i think the post service lost them) i contacted david silver spares and they sent another package without any further costs for me which arrived after 6 days. thank you very very much for this!
thats what i expact from a professional company so
i can definitly recomend them!
S. J. G.
Ordered replacement mirrors on Wednesday as I needed them for a trip Saturday (broke one!) arrived as I was told, Friday morning by 10am. Nice guys, efficient service, good price.
G.
Fantastic service. Thought getting oem parts for my 1995 vfr was going to be hard. Next day delivery on the item I ordered (wrong part my fault) returned the part no issue with the correct one out to me pretty much next day. Cannot fault
m. d.
Very good for genuine Honda motorbike parts and the people who work there really do know what they're talking about and the prices are very reasonable and if the parts in, it really does not take long and they have been very helpful digging up the parts for my bike which it is becoming rare
S.
Absolutely Awesome Experience. I've been a customer for years buying parts, but Chaz and David humoured me and let me buy 3 classic Honda bikes they imported. I can not be happier, Dean delivered (true gent), and David helped with my what can only be described as irritating questions. I can highly recommend David and his team as the best in the US and UK for classic Honda motorcycle parts and old bikes. As we all know, Honda classic bikes have a certain mojo about them and DSS is the ONLY place I would recommend you spend copious amounts of your hard earned on your favourite Japanese restoration projects. 10/10.
B. N.
If you have an old Honda, this is your go to man!
B. F.
Ordered part's for my Honda 500/4 on Friday part's arrived Monday as always first class service would highly recommend you thanks Bob Ford
N. J.
Went to visit the David Silver Honda Museum and it's well worth a visit. Over 150 bikes on show from the first Honda's right through to the 90's with information on each bike, and a room of catalogues and sales brochures to browse through. Check the opening hours before your visit though as it's not open on Sundays.
n. w.
Great prompt delivery good communications and very helpful when I needed to add an additional item to my order prior to despatch. No issues paying the postage /delivery when you get it delivered so quickly .
A. B.
Was about in the 80s when David started this, and now my bikes are old with David silver spares I can restore them and keep them running, only the gl 1000KO 1975 parts are getting harder to get but nigh impossible with out David, the 1980. Cx500 a nearly all parts are available, the quality of old and new parts have all ways very good, service is impeccable , if you want a part for your Honda this is the place to go, do not forget all parts are plus vat,
T. W.
Accidentally ordered from the US site instead of the UK one, had a phone call the morning after letting me know it was transferred over to their UK store and my order arrived the morning after. Impeccable service and amazing delivery time.
S. W.
Really helpful. Bought a bike. Excellent museum visit too.
L. K.
Having an old CX500 I am always delighted that David Silver has the bits I need. Service and delivery has been ramped up recently and this means they are comparable (generally better) on price and with super fast delivery makes you head and shoulders above the rest. Thank you.
W. M.
Highly recommend David silver spares l made a online order for items for my bikes and they arrived well packed and safe not to mention very quick considering the present situation, a well done to all concerned with my order , keep safe cheers
K. N.
Good knowledge and parts but picking up the phone just before closing and letting me hear you type and background conversations only to hang up on the dot of five thirty really isn't great customer service. Could do better.
N. T.
Were very helpful when I was looking for parts for my 40 year old moped. Did not get fed up with my endlessly emailed questions. Definitely my go-to parts source from now on .
L. S.

excellent service, parts well packed and arrived within two days from order being placed. Chris Edwards
J. M.
It was ok very expensive to get in £10 seems rather a lot to just look at things not as good as I hoped and another £10 if you want a brochure not sure I'd recomend it at those prices.
D. L.
