Having purchased a few items from J&S Southampton I had issues understanding the instructions with one item. I returned with questions on two occasions and received all the support I needed on both occasions. Service as it should be, but rarely found these days.

Ordered a pair if adventure motorbike trousers that matched my jacket i had & needed for an upcoming trip. After order confirmation & dispatch email, I was emailed saying that due to a stock tracking delay (was only 1 left on website when I ordered) the trousers were no longer in stock. I was told I could get a refund or switch them for something else. I found another brand that worked and emailed them stating the size and colour I wanted, knowing there was a slight increase in price between the old and new trousers. They very kindly covered the difference and sent them to arrive next day. Appreciate that this isn't normal course of business and but was a really nice gesture! Customer service made this purchase worth it!

The best bike gear shop in town and probably in all south England. Super wide selection of bike tech, helmets, clothing, waterproofs, leathers, gloves and bike accessories like bike stands, bags, DIY bits and bobs like oil, filters, alarm systems, locks, chains. Everything every biker would ever need. The team running the place deserves the gold. They will find you the best deals, not only that you may be able to price match the product you trying to buy. 10/10

Went today to get new clothing for husband. First guy we met was ok, he then disappeared. We then approached another member of staff who didn‘t seem to have too much of a clue. Then a third guy appeared who was a little more knowledgable, but again not too interested. Yes we bought jacket, trousers and boots but would have preferred a more business like approach.

Visited the store last Saturday and Sunday whilst on a bike trip with my husband. Amazing variety of bike apparel but the best thing about this store is the staff. We were served by a young chap in the helmet dept last Sunday. I needed a new helmet but wasn't sure wat to get. He was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable and I bought a helmet, which after use, is the best helmet I have had. Well done to him for his attitude, customer service and advice. Will deffo be visiting again when in Southampton next.

I like this store for the selection of stuff but i do find one sales individual;(short fela, long hair and smells like an ashtray, about 55years old) to be only focused on selling rather than delivering a service. i went in to buy something particular that I’d seen online. i was directed to the more expensive stuff. but that was not what I’d gone in for. i pressed for the cheaper stuff so we had to look on line toghter. He found them.. perfect... had to have them delivered from another store so I left my contact details and was told it may take up to 2weeks. i got a call 2 hrs later ,,,,,they already had them in store. in fact 2 of them. REALLY..?! I could have made my purchase there and then.. Now i need to go back in to buy what was already in store... Mate .... first seek to find out what your customer wants .. Then give them what they want.. what a waist of my time….

Loads of stock reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Spread across 2 floors. Almost too much stock to choose from. Bought a few bits now. Including gloves and helmet. The helmet I wanted was price matched with a popular online retailer which saved me waiting for delivery. Need some new boots soon so will return for those as there is a choice of over 100 pairs
