A Great Mechanic and Another Chance in Life to Ride! When my bike got stolen a few years back, I never thought I’d be riding for a long time. Finding a safer place to park a bike and a good, neighbourhood garage to rely on servicing/repairing my bike were the two main considerations. I spoke to Hayden in person a few months ago as I wanted to see what kind of mindset he had. Preventative maintenance, attention to detail and how he worked efficiently were key to me. (And, believe me when I say I threw him scenarios and things I’d seen before to see how he’d handle it all). His answers matched everything that another trusted engineer I relied on would do. I then bought my bike off the back of this greeting alone. Taking it to Hayden was my first port of call. An 18-year old, big bike and he’s managed to fix a lot of things. From radiator leaks to troubleshooting and replacing a warped rear disc. Rebuilt brake caliper, piston and replaced pads. He was amazing. He kept me in the loop at every step, never making assumptions. If there were any unexpected faults (only one or two given age of bike), he constantly kept me in the loop. Obtaining permission, setting realistic timelines. He even sent me some pics to see what issues were. As well as, work-in-progress pics. -Which I find very exciting! 😀 This kind of comms and customer care helps build relationships. He’s also got those super soft skills like astutely reassuring me the bike is great. Also, a great listener. When we were isolating a possible issue, he’ll listen and factor-in your observations. I’ve had so many frustrating times when dealerships don’t believe in you regarding an issue. So, this was a really nice experience. Cost-effective, not scrimping, sourcing excellent quality kit. Knowing whether or not to source great reputable, 3rd-party, value-for-money parts and when to source direct from manufacturer. He’s SO resourceful! You don’t have to get the parts yourself and send it to him. With his contacts and access to the major makes, he can get the parts in, himself. Making your life so much easier. Clean, tidy setup. Reflects his meticulous nature. Knowing he’s an approved MOT test centre means another thing off my mind! He gives you options, alternatives. He lets you decide. Never funneling you into just one path. It’s early days for me getting to know Hayden but from the interactions we have had you know he’s a sound, ethical guy. With great morals. He has a heart of gold and kindness I rarely find having worked and lived down here in London for 15 years. He looks after you. -And Leon, too! Got me and installed an amazing deal on a DataTool tracker, too! So, now I’ve got so much more peace of mind in revisiting biking, this time round. Hayden will be my regular mechanic for my bike for every service, MOT, any remedial fixes, moving forwards. He’s got my trust and confidence. Cheers very much, Hayden!!! :D

I fear that writing this review will help make this business become too busy and that his prices may go up, but my conscience won't leave me alone until I do, so here goes. Short Version Brilliantly helpful, honest, trustworthy, thorough and all round great guy. I highly recommend Hayden . Anyone fed up of being stitched up, especially by their main dealers, go to First Motorbike Repairs. This will be your new Go-To place. Cheers. Full Version I am a guy who goes to my main (KTM) dealer for everything. Anything that they say needs doing, I just get them to do it. Tyres, oil, anything and everything. I have grown increasingly concerned that I was being taken for a ride, my bike is under warranty and less and less they have wanted to do the warranty work. I don't know a great deal about bikes, so I've relied on them to tell me anything that needs doing. For some reason, many things they haven't bothered to mention and it's only when it gets serious or I get a second option that something needs doing does anything get done. My brakes, chain, sprocket and other things needed doing on the bike. In the end I got fed up of the Service Managers attitude and came to Hayden.What a breath of fresh air. So helpful, honest, friendly, dependable, knowledgeable and most importantly integral. I go to Hayden to do all the jobs now. My bike is in good hands. I feel Hayden is a guy I can really trust and I'll be going to him far more often in the future.

What a lovely little garage in Watford! I didn’t know this place was hidden where it was until I needed help with an oil filter issue. Thought I would give these guys a chance to do some work on my FZ1S, replacement downpipes to be fitted and full service. This man is one of the best motorbike technicians I have ever come across in the 3 continents I have lived! No other person wanted to touch my bike as it is an import but Hayden got the bike better than it has ever been. Positive experience with both Hayden and Laurence helping resolve the front suspension of my GS1200R. Included stripping down, removing the ESA, sending it for refurbishment and while away using the biggest wrench I have seen to change the union joint, then reassembling the bike back to full working order. So happy I found First Motorbike repairs. Laurance went to a lot of trouble to sort out my R1200R which had a lot of water in the fuel system due to a hole which had corroded beneath the filler cap. He sourced second hand parts to keep costs down and also didn’t charge for the extra time it took to get the stubborn beast going again. Really appreciate his honesty and good natured approach to dealing with clients. My bike will definitely go back there again!
