This was the second time of renting the immaculate BMW XR Se. Just like last time was a pleasure to book, pick up and drop off the bike. I booked the bike for 4 days went to the lake district and few other places racking up 1180miles. The bike didn't miss a beat. Wonderful experience with Iain and Keith at RoadTrip. The bikes were absolutely perfect and we will definitely be renting from RoadTrip again. My group rented 2 BMW F750GS and a Yamaha Tracer 900. I had planned a 13 day tour of Europe retracing the footsteps of the band of brothers, Easy Company 101st Airborne, 506PIR. When we arrived bikes were prepped and ready to ride. Documentation was in order for our venture into Europe. We rented helmets with comms which also worked wonderfully and is a must for a group touring together. Bikes preformed flawlessly. 5-STAR REVIEW! Take it from me and book your next motorcycle trip with Keith and Iain. Those two sentences alone are all you need to make your decision to book, but if you will indulge me, let me tell you about my experience with them. By the end of this post, I am confident you will be even more resolute in your decision to book with them. My son and I embarked on the trip of a lifetime to the UK visiting family and friends (October 2022). Including a motorcycle ride into the itinerary was 100% my son’s dream. It was then a matter of how/where/when that needed to be resolved. For me, this trip was dual purpose; making memories on an epic Father-Son trip as well as capping of my 50th birthday back in June. After planning a ride with two British family members, we settled on a trip through the SW of England and into Wales up to the Mach Loop. The only issue was how to go about renting motorcycles in the UK as we were coming from America. Enter Keith and Iain @ RoadTrip Motorcycles. They were both an absolute gem to work with. It started with a simple Google search for UK motorcycle rentals where RoadTrip Motorcycles popped up, along with a couple others scattered across England. In all honesty, I initially selected them because they were the most conveniently located company to where we were based in Basingstoke. However, what appeared to be simple happenstance ended up being one of the most pleasant transactions I have ever made! Period! Full Stop! From our first conversation in May about what we were attempting to accomplish, to returning the bikes at the end of the reservation, Keith and Iain made every step of the process very smooth and simple. The equipment of their entire fleet is top notch! You are not going to get some junk machinery. Their selection is very impressive from the classic Bonneville, the Adventure style Triumph & BMW to the Bugatti Sport bike, they had it all. Coming from America, we even included full riding gear – Jacket, Trousers, Helmets and Gloves to the booking. Everything in our reservation was in outstanding condition; even the communication devices we booked worked effortlessly. We selected the Triumph Tiger for both and could not have been more satisfied with the riding experience. The day we collected the bikes, Keith walked us through the booking process step by step with great detail and consideration. Next he took us through various sizes of helmets and riding gear, to make sure we were getting the best fit for the journey. This was also made to be a very easy experience. Then, as he took us through each of the bikes, it was clear that he was fully knowledgeable of what each bike offered. He knew what he was on about. From there, we were sent on our way with a handshake and well wishes for a great adventure. When it was all over, returning the equipment was just as easy, and quick. Keep the rubber side down and you should have the same experience here as well. What an adventure we had! In four days, we racked up over 730 miles round trip and we loved every single mile of the journey. Along the way, I kept thinking how grateful I was that we crossed paths with RoadTrip Motorcycles. In large part to Keith and Iain, we were able to create cherished memories on a trip that is near unimaginable. If you are looking to rent motorcycles for a ride in the UK and even parts of Europe, do yourself a favor and contact Keith and Iain at RoadTrip Motorcycles. I promise you, they will set you up on a trip of a lifetime and you will not go wrong. RoadTrip (Ian & Keith) were very helpful to get a bike for my friend from Korea and gave us good details of what we need to prepare to hire the bike as a non British rider. Bike was very well looked after and came with panniers, those panniers were very useful for a week travelling. Also stored my friend's luggage until we came back. I had a great experience with these guys. I’m from the States and had this crazy idea to take a motorbike around the southwest region of England, but I wasn’t really sure the best way to go about it. Enter RoadTrip Motorcycle Hire & Tours - not only do they rent top of the line motor bikes, they can also help plan your tour, booking your accommodations and optimizing your route, all this for a very reasonable price IMO. They’re super personable and easy to work with. I’m definitely not used to this level of service in NYC! Definitely be super careful and respectful of the gear & bike; there is an insurance policy included with the rental, but minor damages are on you. In any case, I embarked on an amazing 5 day trip around Cornwall and loved every minute. I’m hoping to revisit these guys in the future and go out farther and longer.

I have never seen someone be so careful to rent the bike out. During the booking process, I was reminded countless times to be careful with the bike as a small child. In the end, they could not rent out as apparently the insurance company doesn't accept 6 points for speeding. Although this information was communicated to them from the very beginning, and it should not be a problem, I was informed. It is a pity as they seem to have plenty of nice bikes. Edit: also Trip advisor reviewer had similar experience where he as a local resident of Woking was refused rental due to "bike theft". This company discriminate a lot, be aware. Maybe if you rent two bikes for a week and spend 2000 you will be accepted. Strange in the 21 century.

It was my first time renting from RoadTrip Motorcycles, and found them (Keith and Iain) and very prompt and supportive in their emails leading up to my rental, to giving me helpful advise on my planned 7-day 3-country trip, to the day of rental set up (BMW R1200 GS), which they equipped with 2-side and 1-back pannier and a tank bag (at my request), and night security, to Keith kindly giving me a nice hot cup of tea after a long flight, and us having a few good laughs, which simple set me off for a wonderful adventure! The bike was very well maintained, without any issues. They kindly stored my baggage while riding, and helped coordinate a private car service to/from the airport...I highly recommend renting from these guys, as simple great value! Also they are not limited to renting BMW's as think I saw at least four (4) bands they rent, and think they can also rent you helmets, boots, etc., if you do not bring all your own gear. RoadTrip came to the rescue when my motorcycle was unavailable at the last minute of a planned ride out. Normally they require at least 2 days notice of a hire, but were able to rent me a Triumph Tiger for the next day. The operation is run by two brothers who are clearly passionate bikers and are in business to provide a hight level of service to their clients. The pre-ride introduction to the motorcycle was thorough, but not tedious. The motorcycle itself was in immaculate condition. It is clear that their fleet is serviced regularly. I spent two days riding around the south of England on a fantastic machine, that would not have been possible without ToadTrip. If you need a bike for a weekend, or a longer European Tour, I highly recommend picking up the phone and discussing your trip with Road Trip. Say MarkB sent you!

As part of researching touring bikes, I took out a Tiger 1200 XRT for a few days. I couldn't be happier with the service. Firstly, the bike was in perfect condition and a real beaut. I was given a thorough briefing on how to use everything on the bike (it had a little more tech than I'm used to). I believe Triumph's breakdown recovery was also included in the package, but I had every confidence that I'd be looked after by Kieth and Iain. All the equipment was top notch. I encountered some logistical difficulties on my side that meant I changed dates and bikes for my trip (twice I think) and they were perfectly understanding and accommodating. The only downside was that I had to give the bike back. I couldn't recommend them more highly if you a) are looking to do a biking holiday on a vehicle that is a bit more exciting/up to the job than your daily ride, and b) if you are interested in getting to know a vehicle more than you ever could on a dealership test ride. Thanks so much, Kieth and Iain, I'm hoping to use you guys again next year.

When you hire one of their machines and take it into several other countries the last thing you want is a break down. Honest and uncomplicated. Iain and Keith provide a fantastic service. They know their bikes, have top quality material and will help you on your way with anything else that pops up while preparing for a bike trip. They do emphasize on taking very good care of the material but that's because most of it is brand new. You also need to make sure to keep bike theft in mind when planning your stops. I rented a Yamaha tracer 900 in August 2018 for a short weekend into Wales and everything went smoothly. Getting in and out of London is bit dull considering the heavy traffic most of the time, but the coast line in Wales was worth the trip. I would definitively recommend Roadtrip. Call them or send them a mail and they'll help you out with all questions you might have.

As a learner rider, I rented a 125cc bike for a weekend and was lucky enough to meet both Ian and Keith. They were equally welcoming, helpful, and with plenty of good advice for a novice like myself. For some people it may not be viable to spend 20k on a bike so to have somewhere so close to Gatwick to be able to rent at resonantly good prices it’s great. We got a super detailed briefing from Keith when picking the bike up which meant that all the many features of the bike (a BMW GS1250 for me) were clear and easy to use during our tour. I got to use RoadTrip Motorcycle Rental after getting a voucher from my wife. After an aborted attempted due to weather, I finally got a day agreed and headed down. After a thorough briefing from Kevin and handover, I was free to explore on my selection - A Triumph Bonnie T100. What a fantastic day. The location of the guys means that you have the Surrey Hills under your nose, with the Downs not much further. The bike was in cracking condition with a full tank of gas. These guys are the real deal. Iain and Kevin know their stuff, are friendly but also extremely helpful. They are happy to give advice and the selection of bikes is superb. If you are looking for a bike for a day, a week, or even just looking to try something new, these guys should be your only consideration - you will not get a better service anywhere else.

Being a newbie I thought I'd see if I could hire a bike to gain more road time before taking my test. I had thought it might be a tall order hiring a bike with only a provisional licence and no experience; how wrong was I! A quick call to RoadTrip and a day's hire was arranged - simple as that. After providing ID, licence details and a deposit I was good to go. Iain & Keith are very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about their stock, and biking in general. Their shop is full of very nice machinery, all either new or nearly so, and very well maintained; worth a visit if just to drool. Having passed my test I decided to try something a bit more powerful that a 125 and wondered what might be available to a novice. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the only restriction was cc - up to 900 was fine! A BMW F750GS was hired for the day; again the service was excellent and price very reasonable. I'll be back for a BMW F900RT when the lockdown is over. I can't recommend RoadTrip more highly - if you're in the market to hire a bike get yourself to RoadTrip, you'll not regret it.

Rented a 19 plate bmw gs1250 with full luggage, sat nav music, for a week to do a self planned tour of wales, York moors, Pennines & Skegness. Camping each night. My initial plans to visit the north coast 500 were quite rightly questioned with only 7 nights off work! I collected the bike and got full briefing , it told me everything I needed to know and what to expect. Value for money was terrific, much better than having a depreciating asset sitting still most of the time! The bike was a dream, the weather was great, new campsite each night were spot on. Despite having a bit of a bad luck on my weekend hire of the MT-07, Iain and Keith where extremely helpful and personable! I doubt you will ever get a better service from anywhere else - which is a shame but thats what makes this place stand out from the crowd! Their charges are more than reasonable (I did a fair amount of searching online for an MT-07 and RoadTrip were the only ones with one available for hire). It was a great way to try out the MT before moving to purchase one! Don't hesitate to use to RoadTrip, they have a pretty impressive collection of bikes and the kind of service that will make you want to come back.

I’m coming back to biking after 40 years and It’s been invaluable in helping me train on the road without having to buy a 125 for a few months use. The bikes are in top condition and they have a substantial stock of touring and even sport bikes road ready at any time. Great friendly knowledgable advice at honest prices. Being a Guildford resident I was extremely glad to see that RoadTrip had set up down the road in Woking since my last bike hire 12 months ago which necessitated a trip up into south London. Iain and Keith are two great guys who know their bikes and their business, with a clear objective to give you the best experience from your time on one of their bikes. I hired a lovely BMW GS1200 which was almost new when I took it out. They had all the BMW luggage should you need it and the BMW Navigator system to hire. They take their time to run through the bike and all its settings (there are many on the GS!) and could not have been more helpful and accommodating. I was also fortunate enough to help Iain and Keith out by bringing back their Ducati 899 Panigale from a local bike event a couple of days after I returned from my trip, which was another great immaculately maintained bike. I cannot recommend RoadTrip enough for the quality and selection of the bikes they offer coupled with the 5 star service that Iain and Keith provide.

I've rented lowered Yamaha MT07 for my wife for 3 weeks in "Road Trip". Iain gave us a lot of usefull tips for riding in UK (it was our first experience with left-side driving roads =)), parking and more. Iain gave us even chain cleaner. The motorcycle looked like new, and was in perfect conditions. Lowered suspension fitted perfect for my wife, we've ridedUK and Ireland, and there weren't any problem with bike (mileage ~4400 km). It was my 4th experience with long-term motorcycle rental - i've rented bikes twice in US (EagleRider) and once in Germany (Allround Vermietung). RoadTrip is on very good level of service.

Better Late than Never An exceptional motorcycle rental company. My Road Trip (RT) July 2018 was six days, five nights, first week in July. I traveled down from Lincoln early Saturday Morning as RT close at 1200 and I need the bike for early doors Monday morning. Ian and Keith were both there to greet me, receiving bikes coming back from other RT’s, my bike was ready to rock ‘n’ roll GS1200RT 2017 model with all the bells and whistles, set of panniers, top box, inners, Garmin Sat Nav, the works. We completed all the necessary paperwork, any outstanding payments, any extra equipment, I had a brand new Helio protective jacket ( great bit of kit), familiarised with the bike, Kieth took photos of the bike prior to my departure, and so did I before leaving my car in their responsible hands for the duration of my RT. I stayed locally in a Travelodge for two nights, and secured my bike in a friends garage whom I was going on tour with. I spent the rest of Saturday, and all day Sunday enjoying my new toy. Monday morning we set off early and headed for the Black Mountains, Lake District, Peak District, and Lincolnshire, overnighting in B&B’s with secure parking on route and the last night at home, before heading back to Surrey. It was a superb week with beautiful sunshine, not a drop of rain, I had my own protective air jacket with the light helio waist coat jacket, so minimal clothing in such hot weather, we were very lucky not having to don any extra clothing or wet gear that we carried in our panniers all week. My friend accompanied me back to RT Saturday morning, where I reluctantly had to return this fantastic toy fully fuelled at a local garage to Ian and Keith who were busy despatching another RT. A quick once over the bike and extra equipment, they were happy I was happy, my car was still intact, sad thing was I followed my friend home on his own bike. We had completed less than the 200 miles, my allowance each day, it was an exhilarating week and I look forward to doing it all again this year. Unfortunately I’m under the thumb and my wife won’t permitt me in having my own bike, fortunately there is a reliable solution Road Trip. I hired a Ducati Panigale 899 for a weeks holiday in Devon. Had a cracking time riding a fabulous machine on some stunning roads. Keith and Iain were efficient and professional and the bike was immaculately turned out complete with nicely installed Tom Tom Sat Nav which proved to be invaluable. Pre loading my preferred route to Devon was a real bonus and helped towards a fuss free start. If you want to truly assess a particular model of bike then this is the way to go. Demo rides are all well and good but spend a day on a bike and it is far more likely to tell you if the bike is right for you. The Ducati was typical in that it was amazing on fast open twisty roads where you could make progress but a bit of a handful and quite tiring in built up areas. So.... not the bike for me as it turns out. A half hour demo would not have helped me assess the bike in the least. On my return journey to Woking I had an issue with the rear tyre. A quick diversion to Riders in Bridgewater got me a replacement sorted and Roadtrip covered the bill. Great service and no quibbling. What more can you ask for? I would highly recommend Roadtrip, decent people to deal with and passionate about making sure they do all they can to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. I will definitely use them again.

What’s in a rental? When it's Ian and Keith from Road Trip, the answer is, "One helluva lot.” I've been riding motorcycle's and dealing with shops, dealers, associations, clubs and affiliated companies for so long I've lost count, and yet the guys at RoadTrip managed to make an epic impression. Their operation is tighter than a new set of rings in my 888 Desmo. If they were a band they would have the ultra-clean grooves of Rush or Metallica mixed with the relaxing intricate chilled compositions of Steely Dan. These guys are professionals, and it shows in every tiny perfectly orchestrated detail – They communicate clearly and promptly – Compare that to your local shop! I’d use them on that fact alone, but then they had to go and procure the best equipment, gear and one of London’s most eclectic selection of beautiful bikes I’ve ever seen. Few in Europe and NO ONE in London comes close. Congratulations guys – You’re the ONLY bike rental company I’ll be using from now on.
