I made the mistake of taking a pair of brown suede Loake boots to a unknown shoe repair shop and paying cheap for them to be re-soled. They came back a complete mess. Distraught and after some Googling I came across H E Payne & Sons Ltd and paid them a visit. It was quickly apparent that Matthew and Natalie knew their trade and reassured me that they could rectify the re-soled mess that my boots had been left in and were keen to take on the challenge. Their in-depth knowledge of the make up of the boot/shoe was evident in our conversation and it was reassuring to know my boots were in the care of individuals with such passion for their craft. An open and honest approach and helpful throughout I am extremely pleased with the transformation and the finished product of the boots, they are like new! Matthew and Natalie are a credit to their profession and I cannot recommend them highly enough, so much so they have just re-soled a pair of Grenson brogue boots for me which I am equally as impressed with. I simply will not go anywhere else for all my shoe/boot repair based needs.
