Great service and support at affordable prices. I have used Safestore Colchester for several years now and can truly say that the staff have always been helpful and professional. The building is kept clean and in well repair. I have seen Nick the manager and other members of his team painting the floors themselves to make sure it always looks great. I have had many offers from other storage companies but, the friendly competent staff at Safestore Colchester offers everything I need.

I honestly think that this is a fantastic place to use for self storage. The staff are incredibly nice, cheery, always having a good laugh, but at the same time, very helpful. They recommended me a man with a van to use, from a different company, to get my stuff into storage, and the service he and his colleague provided me was brilliant. When things went wrong (as something normally does with a move) they didn't complain. They just got on with it. What more, the self storage itself is very reasonable, allowing for cheaper prices for the first few months, but does go up over time. I've also seen where my items are being stored so I know that it's secure. Very nicely done.

A coupe of months ago, I enquired about renting some storage space with Safestore Ipswich Road Colchester. I was delighted to speak to Jo who was really helpful when assessing my needs in terms of square footage of floor space. A week or so later, I decided to take a larger room, as things had changed, and again, Jo was quick to respond. Sadly, our plans had to be abandoned and I had to cancel the storage space. Again, Jo listened sympathetically, and offered to keep my details on file in case I need some space in the future. Whilst I didn't actually use the space allocated to me, I can say without doubt that if the facility was as efficient as Jo and her colleagues, there would be no need to look anywhere else! Just wanted to give some feedback on this business. We needed a storage unit at short notice when we sold our house. We were let down by some friends that were supposed to be storing our stuff. We spoke up Jo who promptly managed to arrange it for us. She went above and beyond to help us. Even now when our new build is slightly delayed she’s managed to arrange something to help us out short term. Firstly I had a phone conversation with Nick who suggested that we pop in to assess what size unit we needed. We visited the next day and were shown around by Jo. Nothing was too much trouble. I contacted several storage facilities in Colchester and Safestore Self Storage were the only company who got back to me on the same day. I received advice on the size of storage that I required and obtained a quote on the same day. Nick Partridge (Store Manager) was really helpful and efficient. He sent me the contract electronically and payment method, which meant I didn't need to do it in store. I went to the store on the same day and obtained access to the storage facility so I was able to move stuff in straight away. Nick was extremely friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough for price and customer service.

Jo and Debbie are great and have advised us on the right unit size. Very pleased with the 24h access meaning we are not limited by the store opening hours (8am-6pm on most days). You can cover your belongings with insurance in this very big ware house, 24 hour access to the ground floor if you pay for it. (There's materials to keep your gear warm in winter and cool in summer) Properly package your stuff as the wear house is not temperature controlled and i would say they need more CCTV down the corridors. The staff are amazingly approachable with any query you can imagine and are very friendly.

Staff here are really great and offer the best prices I have found. The units are clean and we'll monitored but I have taken a star off because when moving tall objects such as wardrobes you have to put them on a trolly thenot take them off again to put in the lift as they don't have a tall height lift entrance then put back on trolly again when upstairs to rooms that are not numbered in order so a bit more thought on actually moving large items easier and accessing lockers please.
