Visited Suzu House for the first time today and I got the california roll and salmon nigiri. The roll had good flavour and the nigiri was really fresh with a generous serving of salmon. I liked the food and will come here again but I wouldn’t rate this restaurant as one of best places for sushi.

We went for a cooking class with my husband and children and we all loved it. It was the highlight of this Christmas break. It beats panto for us! We are big fans of Japanese cuisine and we were looking forward to learning about how to improve our techniques as we love to make sushis at home. Makiko is an extraordinary person, her patience and extended knowledge as a sushi chef makes for a great experience. And the makis/temaki/sushis were all delicious of course and there were loads to eat! Makiko even adapted the course to the one veggie person with very lovely ingredients. I would greatly recommend to al!

Hands-down my favourite sushi restaurant! Food is delicious, fresh, and authentic - and so reasonably priced for the quality of what you are getting. I could eat here everyday 😋😋😋
D. L.
Very friendly staff with excellent service. Spacious and good vibe. Exceptional quality of food, especially sashimi and sushi! Will definitely come again.
C. W.
I grabbed a spicy salmon sushi burrito from this place, as they've changed owners! My goodness, this is soo tasty. 15% off until the end of the month as well - added bonus. The salmon is so fresh. Will be going back

I had recently passed my exam in aromatherapy and took my exam subject to this restaurant to celebrate and to say thank you to my exam client. I had chosen this restaurant as we happened to be in Hammersmith. I love sushi and the food and the customer service was exceptional. The woman who served us was very welcoming and always served with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. Made the whole experience very enjoyable.
I would happily recommend this place for top quality food and service.

We did the sushi class here and it was such good fun! Makiko is a great teacher, and we make more sushi than we could eat! Would highly recommend and is a great deal for £20pp

The food is incredible! Authentic Japanese cooking and Maki is truly a genius. I highly recommend Suzu House.
Z.
Lawrence and Kitty are very friendly and helpful, and the food is incredible. We love the big sushi rolls and the salmon.

Great afternoon with some great Sushi making lessons. We were filled up by the end. Makiko, the owner and teacher is so pleasant, professional and funny. The way she explains everything is brilliant and I particularly liked how she detailed Japanese table etiquette.
I would definitely recommend her lessons and by the end you are totally filled on Sushi and get to take away the left overs and complimentary roller mat.
Go with a group of friends or on a Date night/day.
Thanks Makiko!

We loved it!
We went today for the 2-hours Sushi Class and we really enjoyed it.
Makiko is a real professional who wants to share her knowledge as a chef and her culture as a Japanese.
We had never went there before, but I am sure we will after having met her.
The class is not only about learning how to make sushi, but she also teaches how to use the chopsticks and some tips about the Japanese culture.
Thank you Mikoko!

I just had the beginner sushi class today. My boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed it. I will definitely be going back for other classes, as well as to eat at the restaurant.

What a wonderful place to have sushi, friendly staff. My dog also loves the water bowl outside.
R. W.
The fish in the sushi is fresh and tasty, plus there's a good ratio of fish to rice. Tempura hot and crispy. Decor is fun and authentic, although some tables are a little cramped. Toilets clean and tidy. Dessert was nice too although the heat had the ice cream melting fast (33°C!!)
I've also been to a class here a couple of years ago and that was fantastic too!
C.
Fantastic Sushi and fantastic food overall! Service is always good and with a smile! Cannot fault Suzu House.
In the past I have dined in and have also got take away. The quality is always high and tastes great!
Give it a go you won't regret it and you'll be helping out a local business! Win win!
R. W.
I had a wonderful afternoon on the sushi making course! Makiko is a very good teacher and we learnt about sushi, Japanese culture and customs. We made a variety of types of sushi- all of which were delicious! I would definitely recommend it and would happily do it again :)

Cosy restaurant in the heart of Hammersmith. There are two floors, however the one below the ground is open only during evenings. Roughly, I’d say that the ground floor can host at max 20 people. The service is relatively quick, it varies a bit (within reason) depending on the number of people and the complexity of the order. I simply love their Katsu Curry, both the version accompanied with rice and the Udon soup (the Udon are simply excellent). I’ve only tried the scallop sushi and they were melting in my mouth. For the record, the only time I left unsatisfied was when I ordered the ramen. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Good quality, tasty, authentic, yummy sushi! A hidden gem in the heart of Hammersmith.
My friend and I attended a sushi class yesterday (08.02.19) two hours of interesting, traditional techniques, taught by a famous Japanese sushi master called Makiko Sano. She is a lovely, knowledgeable, experienced sushi chef and she made the class fun and exciting. I love eating sushi!!! Learning to make four different types of sushi, is definitely an eye opener and a life changer. Sounds silly right? But nori, fresh sushi, graded fish and raw veg is extremely healthy and promotes life longevity. You get to understand some Japanese customs with the chop sticks and facts and techniques that you can use at home. I've found my local Japanese centre and there are a few in London, so I'll be popping down on my day off to get the necessities.
Best bit about the class?? You get to eat what you make and all the fish and ingredients is so fresh!! The wasabi is not just any wasabi! It's literally mind blowing! You need to get down there to try it and you'll understand what I mean!
A prize is given at the end for the best uramaki. Practice makes perfect and I'm happy I learnt something new with great company.
The restaurant itself, is clean, beautiful, tastefully, decorated and cosy. The right ambience created inside and downstairs. The dishes on the menu is totally yummy. So different from the usual, branded restaurants most people attend. The staff are multicultural, polite and quiet.
I recommend this restaurant for its food quality, customer service, decor... Most of all, the sushi class itself is brilliant. Teenagers who are sensible and have an interest in sushi can also attend with their parents.
Thanks again Makiko for a wonderful, memorable, afternoon. Will definitely pop in to purchase your cook book and have a super munch!
F.
Such a lovely lunch! Everything was so delicious - full of flavour, fresh, light, and beautifully presented. Our waiter was absolutely lovely and warm, and it made our experience even more wonderful! Thank you! Already planning our next trip back! Our go-to Japanese restaurant!
L. Z.
I had this wonderful opportunity taking a Suzu sushi class with a friend as part of my birthday gift. We had a good time, prepared different types of rolls, learned about the sushi chef's life story, Japanese etiquette and more. Definitely recommend!
C. L.
Food were delicious, sushi with fresh fish are the best. Hot food are amazing too. Staff are so friendly and smiley! Will definitely be back again.
A. M.
Suzu House is under management of the founder Makiko again and I went for lunch as her menu has some of my favourites on it. I had the most delicious Chicken Karage, an original recipe, newly improved. It was like eating large bits of chicken popcorn. Crispy on the outside and succulent tender chicken on the inside. Absolutely perfect!
C. C. L.
I had a great time during the sushi class. I feel I learnt a lot of new about how to cook sushi and Japanese manners. Makiko is an amazing teacher; she makes the class to be amused and entertained. At the end of the class we ate all sushi we cooked.
K. L.
Good sushi and sashimi. Quick service and friendly staff. Low key industrial decor. Small seating area open to semi-busy street which only adds to the charm. Not busy when I was there (monday evening), but did have Japanese guests.
J.
Best sushi I’ve had in London, the quality of the fish is unlike anywhere else I’ve been. We were also lucky enough to go to one of their sushi classes before lockdown too which was fab, and we were very excited for it to reopen.
I am marking down two stars as I’ve tried to communicate with the restaurant via their website and email on multiple occasions to see if they will be bringing back the classes but never had a response. Also ordered some of the delicious pickled ginger from their website that never arrived and my order was never acknowledged. I tried calling multiple times to get my money back but was always told they were busy. Had to raise a case with PayPal to get a refund in the end…
So great for food but otherwise poor service and organisation. Order through Deliveroo or in person.
R. T.
Really great local sushi restaurant with affordable and delicious sushi. I tried their sushi burrito (lunch takeaway special) and I would definitely recommend it!
A. A.
This is a very nice Japanese restaurant. Staffs are very nice, food is excellent! Highly recommended for lunch and dinner. The environment is nice very Japanese as well.
M. C.
I attended the sushi making class with my girlfriend and it was a great experience.
Suzu is a very good teacher and you will learn how to make 4 different kind of sushi. We could eat the sushi we made and the fish was amazing, by far the best sushi I ever had.
I also appreciated the hints about how to cook the rice and what kind of fish to buy to do a good sushi at home.
O. W.
Makiko put on a wonderful evening for us that can only be decribed as very special. She was generous with her time and I felt honoured to be in front of the only Female Sushi Chef that had been to the academy in Japan. I could not reccomend highly enough an evening making, understanding the history, and eating proper sushi!
A. S.
I’ve completed the 2-hour sushi class and I can not recommend it enough! Makiko’s passion for both sushi and teaching is contagious and I was very impressed with her level of knowledge, which she was able to share in a really simple and easy way.
All the ingredients are of really excellent quality and most straight from Japan, so you’ll definitely get a genuine experience (we had real wasabi and not green-dyed horseradish and the ginger is to die for!).
Although I’m vegan, the class was easily adapted to my dietary requerimentos and I was able to learn how to make (and eat) really delicious vegan sushi!
I can not recommend this enough and I will definitely be attending the other classes!
M. J.
As gift, my partner recently took me to Suzu for sushi making lessons which was just amazing and which we truly recommend.
Makiko is a great instructor who was not only patient and thorough but gave us a brief history of her intense journey to becoming a certified sushi chef. We made four different types of sushi in the class and could not only eat but also carry away anything we didn't finish.
The class was small and intimate, and at the end we were given a sushi rolling mat which has come in handy as we've been improving our sushi making skills! (^-^)
C. G.
We had an amazing time learning from Makiko-san. Such an experienced sushi chef was able to make this class very easy to follow and fun. The results were delicious and we were delighted to have her come by and share her feedback throughout the class. Highly recommended ! I'm definitely coming back for more.
A.
We arranged a private sushi lesson for our company which was very well received by our staff. Lots of great feedback. Makiko was friendly, hands-on, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour! She made the class relaxed and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend and would happily return in the future.
J. W.
My wife and I enjoyed a group sushi making class at Suzu House this February. It was not only informative, but the sushi was delicious and our teacher was quite funny. We would highly recommend and will be attending again in the future!
V. N.
I took my boyfriend to one of Makiko's sushi making classes and we had the BEST TIME!! she was very engaged and the class itself was very interesting and fun! We had a number of individual tasks and the best part is you get to eat or take home all of your lovely creations...I would definitely recommend to anyone who's interested in sushi or Japanese culture.
A. B.
Makiko is an amazing teacher, this sushi making class was unbelievable. Great value for money and extremely entertaining. And you get to eat so much delicious sushi! Couldn't recommend this enough :)
S. R.
I attended a sushi making class with Makiko this week. Cannot recommend her enough. Class was hands on and practical. Makiko was a great teacher - very fun and approachable, with a wealth of knowledge for an aspiring Japanese cook! Such a fun class, I think I will be attending another soon!
A. C.
We attended a 2-hour sushi class and really enjoyed the experience. Makiko provides a wealth of knowledge and experience in a relaxed and fun environment. Plus, the sushi we got to make was really good! Definitely recommended.
J. A.
Highly recommended! My wife and I attended a sushi making class, fair to say Makiko was truly an inspiring teacher. The class was entertaining, fun but disciplined at the same time. 5 Stars.
V. P.
I went with my partner for a sushi making class at Suzu Japanese Tapas Bar. Had a wonderful time making 4 different types of sushi and took home anything we couldn't eat at the end. We were given our own rolling mat to take home so we could make sushi too! The teacher explained everything well and made it fun experience. Would definitely go back for another class :)
O. C.
Couple of moths ago I assisted at the Makiko's sushi class with my Girlfriend. We went to the class to learn how to make some sushi and have some fun. Everything was ready to rock and roll once we arrived . The teacher was so nice, funny and helpful at all time. looking forward for the next lessons.
P. C.
I went for an evening sushi making class, I bought this class as a gift for my boyfriend and we both loved it. As a vegan I was worried that I wouldn't be able to try my creations but there was fantastic options, everyone is included and can get involved- perfect sized class and thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Thank you Makiko Sano!
P. P. O.
Amazing and very useful sushi making masterclass! We really enjoyed it. Makiko showed us lots of interesting things and we went home with a lot of homemade sushi for dinner. I really recommend this place if you love sushi. We can't wait to try everything we learnt at home!
A. B.
The perfect birthday present! I was gifted a sushi making class, and had so much fun with Makiko learning 4 different types of sushi, eating while going along, learning Japanese table manners and how to cut fish. Highly recommended!
S. M.
We’ve been here to attend a sushi class. The class was fab, Makiko Sano has been entertaining, fun and strict enough. It was the best sushi I’ve ever tried and I definitely want to prepare it at home now! I recommend it!
S. M.
I recently attended a sushi making class and had a fantastic experience. Makiko was a wonderful teacher who showed us how to make 4 types of sushi in an easy-to-understand, step by step manner. I also learnt so much about Japanese culture, food and finally learnt how to use chopsticks correctly!
Excellent value for money - I highly recommend this class.
J. S.
Highly recommend! Makiko is a fun and very patient teacher who provides a great insight into Japanese tradition and food culture. I attended the class with my girlfriend who also enjoyed it, so much so that we are planning on booking further classes.
N. H.
I bought my fiancé a sushi making class. The tuition was great, the teacher was professional and she made it fun with a bit of healthy competition. Ingredients are fresh and the teacher had lots of tips of real Japanese dining. I would absolutely recommend.
N. L.
I went to Makiko's sushi class with my son last Saturday 8th June and we had such fun and enjoyed our class. Makiko is an excellent and very passionate sushi expert ! She executes the class with much humour and fun making it easy and relaxing to learn. End results ... amazing tasty self made sushi ... looked great too ! Can highly recommend as a great birthday event out with your family and friends :)
B. G.
We had a brilliant sushi making class on Sunday. 4 adults and 4 kids. Makiko was amazing - her experience and knowledge on Japanese culture was enlightening - her patience with us and the kids was superb.
Great ingredients and sushi was delicious.
Highly reccomended - great value for money and we will be back for sushi for sure!
Thank you

Japan and Japanese food is one of my life's passions. Its so nice to come across this place as l am normally on a bus heading to Kensington.
Staff were very welcoming, a very relaxed atmosphere. Simple but elegant decor. Fabulous drink and food menu. I noticed they cater for parties.. Exciting. Definitely will come back.

Took my Mum (68) and daughter(13) to a sushi making class with Makiko last night. What a great experience. Makiko has a great sense of humour, full of knowledge and super patient. Perfect evening out for all ages. Came away wanting to know more about Japanese cuisine. Will be booking in for the dumpling course next. Can’t wait!
F. C.
We went to a sushi making class here which was lovely. You not only learn how to make all sorts of authentic sushi but the Japanese etiquette in eating it too. I would highly recommend this experience in such a quaint quirky restaurant with a true master teacher.
A. H.
The teacher was very strict, but all in all this was a fun and informative class that lead me to be able to make sushi at home :)
B. F.
We have been to two fantastic cooking classes - sushi and dumpling makings. They were both great value, informative and a fun way of spending some time with my family. We'll be back for more!
C. W.
Attended this sushi class with my boyfriend recently. We didn't know what to expect but had a brilliant evening full of laughs competing over who can make the best sushi! There is lots of help and guidance and lots of sushi at the end to eat. Would recommend it!!
V. R.
Suzu is easy to find in the Hammersmith area and its small but plenty of room. I bought my husband and I a sushi making class and there were about 20 people there. The class was fun, interactive and the teacher was fantastic not only in explaining and giving tips but also creating a little healthy competition - I still think I was robbed of the plum wine! I would definitely recommend the course to anyone looking for something fun to do. You can order soft drinks and alcohol so you're covered however you want to accompany the course. If it wasn't so far from my home I would definitely go for dinner.
W. O.
We had an amazing time at this class. Makiko is incredibly knowledgeable and we came away with a understanding far more about both the ingredients and the process to becoming a sushi chef (we now know these are called Itamae and it can take 7 years or more). The class was fun and the fish was so fresh! Cannot recommend highly enough
M. R.
A really great Sushi class that I attended with my partner. We made 4 different types of sushi and got to take it home if we couldn't finish it. Really impressed and will be sending this as a gift to my friends too.
K. M.
We attended a sushi making class in August, Makiko was fantastic at explaining not only how to make each individual piece but the background and additional information on Japanese culture! Would highly recommend it to anyone interested in sushi - we made around 25 pieces of sushi each with high quality ingredients!
C. M.
Suzu is such a lovely restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. We even had a sushi class here and not only was the food delicious and the lesson easy to follow, the owner is one of the most inspiring people we've ever met and we loved to hear about her stories of how she became a sushi restaurant owner. Will definitely be coming back! xx
m.
I organised the sushi making class for a corporate event and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The class was great and taught very well and the food was lovely. We also stayed on after the class for more food and that was also delicious. Thoroughly recommend.
N. J. R.
I had a great time making sushi and learning about Japanese culture, Tokyo and Makiko herself. I went to the lesson on my own and the restaurant as the rest of the attendants were very welcoming. Looking forward to going to the dumpling lesson too.
M. F.
An amazing & extremely informative evening with my granddaughter. Makiko makes the evening fun with her humour and knowledge. Extremely passionate about herJapanese culture and sharing some of her amazing stories of her family growing up.
I loved making & eating the sushi we made and will definitely be booking in for more courses with my daughter & granddaughter. Would highly recommend everyone to do a course with Makiko.
B. S.
The chef is really friendly and I learned a lot about how to prepare a good sushi. Everything was tasty and the whole experience was really fun. I strongly recommend it !!
J. R.
We did the sushi making class with Makiko and it was fantastic! We learnt loads about making sushi, Japanese culture and had plenty of sushi to eat/take home. Would highly recommend the class, Makiko is super friendly and made it great fun!
Z. O. E.
So much fun! Informative too - I've made sushi since using the skills I learned there. The guide she sends you after is really helpful too. Brilliant woman and a brilliant class - would highly recommend!
A. M.
I went with my boyfriend and we had a very good time, apart from learning how to make sushi. Makiko, the Chef, gave us really good tips and helped us through. I totally recommend it
V. C.
I have attended Sushi Making class with Makiko and honestly I didn't know what I had to expect: the result was a very pleasant, fun and interesting afternoon! I definitely enjoyed the course, Makiko teaching style and the friendly environment.
J. B.
I love the decor there and the food is delicious! They also have take away available
T. L.
A quick snack turned highlight of the day! A delicious range of Japanese dishes, artfully prepared, with a captivating collection of movie and kaiju memorabilia peruse whilst you wait. The service was wonderful and personable, and we soon found ourselves chatting away to the owner on subjects ranging from her sushi classes to favorite anime. Will most certainly be returning.
C. A.
We had a brilliant party here for our 10 year old son. They had great fun learning how to write Japanese characters as well as how to spell their names in Japanese. The highlight of course was learning how to make sushi which was topped off by the fact that everyone ended up taking home a box of sushi each. Above all, Makiko was terrific with the boys and they all left happy and entertained-especially the birthday boy!
S. A.
The most perfectly crafted sushi, no wonder why they offer lessons. The portions are great, especially for sharing. Service was good too. 10/10 would recommend.
M. D.
A local gem. Undoubtedly some of the best Japanese food in London. The Japanese owner chef is extremely welcoming and her reputation across London is well deserved. All food is incredible, personal favourites include the black cod and the scallops.
M. K.
I went with a friend today for a sushi class. What a fantástic experience. The teacher was very friendly and very informative. I learnt a lot of new things about making sushi and what ingredients are best.Loved loved loved this class on top came out with a full tray of sushi to take home.I will recommend this a 100%.
U. S.
I work in the area and so have lunch here. For a lunch it's quite expensive, but for sushi it's about average. I regularly get one of the Burrito sushi rolls. I switch between each flavour depending on my mood. Staff are attentive and could improve by being a little more friendly. They do not have any of the finer cuts of sushi (e.g. fatty tuna). Their warm elle is nice. I would recommend this place.
F. G.
We greatly enjoyed the evening, learnt a lot and will definitely be practicing at home! Lucia also won the prize for best salmon & avo roll for which she was kindly gifted Makiko's book "Shoku-Iku" - we greatly look forward to trying out some of her delicious recipes, thank you Makiko!
T. O.
I came here for a sushi making lesson and had a great time. Makiko fills the lesson with fun stories and great cooking tips as well as making sushi look easy!
H. W.
We attended a cooking class with Makiko and were amazed by the food, stories and knowledge shared. A true gem in West London, Suzu is somewhere I will continue to come back to again and again and again. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
J. J.
I attended the sushi workshop last Saturday with my daughter and we had such a good time, Makiko was a fab teacher and made the instruction so clear and everything we made was delicious 😋 I would definitely recommend this class and I hope to attend other courses at her lovely venue again
A. G.
Pleasantly surprised. I don't know why I thought it will be just a basic sushi making class but boy was I wrong. Seriously, I learnt not only how to make 4 different sushies but also about the Japan's culture. Makiko is just a phenomenal teacher! Also, need to mention that it's incredible value for the money.
C. T.
The sushi making class was a fun afternoon activity and we really enjoyed it. The instructions were really clear and easy to understand which was really helpful for two novices!! Would definitely recommend to others.
N. D.
Makiko's class was a lot of fun! The sushi lessons take place at her restaurant, and the class is small enough where you get individualised attention and a cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend attending!
P. G.
I love this place: the decoration with Japanese (translation) movie's poster and small figurines, the food is really tasty and good. The choice is large without being extensive. I really like the chirashi salad there.
Each time I find the staff nice without being overwhelming.
A. L.
3.5 stars for the quality of food and two stars for the price. The portions are on the smaller side so not value for money. They do a decent chirashi with a variety of toppings but again, not enough rice. The sushi rice is properly seasoned, so that is a relief, as many non-Japanese sushi places don't even bother seasoning the rice. The quality of the tempura is inconsistent.
D. L.
I attended the Sushi making course, it was great fun and highly recommend!
The teacher was highly informative and we learnt loads. I would definitely like to try the recipes again!
m. d.
Makiko is a great host, the sushi class is fun, friendly and very informative. It was an all round good experience. Now my daughter and I will start making sushi at home :)
Y. C.
I had teriyaki chicken with rice. I just went into the shop without any anticipation. However, the chicken was really nicely cooked with the right amount of teriyaki sauce - not too salty. The Salad coming with the dish was fresh and good with the dressing. The price was reasonable.
A. M.
I attended the sushi making class here. The lesson lasted about 2 hours. it was well structured and clear. It covered how to prepare nigiri, maki and california roll, and included many tips and tricks for a successful result. We've finally been told where to buy safe fresh fish. I feel now ready to try at home.
S. H.
Decent sushi for a relatively decent prize. I liked the Spicy Ramen.
E. Q.
I've now attended a couple of Makiko's classes - one in sushi making and also the knife sharpening one. Both were really informative and useful and as with all the best teachers, Makiko has the ability to break down a skill so that anyone can understand it - and likewise with all great masters she makes the difficult look effortless. I intend to attend the katsu & ramen classes in future as well. Can't wait ! No hesitation from me to award 5 stars.
E. D.
We love to eat at this fab neighbourhood restaurant where chef / owner Makiko makes the most delicious Japanese dishes - kids favourites are sushi burritos and the katsu chicken. It’s all great !
U. E.
Great restaurant! One of my best Sushi spots, nice service and good food. I highly recommend the Sashimi Delux (if you are a sushi lover) and if you prefer cooked, then go for the Sayo. For desert, the green tea ice cream is very nice.
D. F.
Didn’t eat here for dinner but they held a great sushi making course that I obtained online from Groupon. The teacher was the restaurant chef/owner woman. We learned how to make sushi - maki rolls, sashimi, nigiri. Was fun! And as a teacher she was very patient and helpful.
C. S.
Staff were nice and friendly with my child. He received nice Japanese toys to play while waiting. Food was great. I had a spicy ramen that was with an interesting sesame taste.
E. M.
At Makiko’s Sushi class we learnt how to make 4 different types of sushi and how to master the chopsticks. The teaching was excellent and the food delicious!
G. D.
My place whenever I stay in Hammersmith for work. The food is really nice. There is a good variety of dishes. The lady owner is extremely nice. The service is friendly and atmosphere is relaxed. All you need. Good to eat in group or alone.
I.
We ordered the sushi take out during the lockdown - food was alright a little bit on the salty side.
A. B.
I have been going to Suzu at lease once or twice weekly for the last 10 years without failing, and I always crave that very authentic Japanese food that Makiko cooks so wonderfully.
C. H.
Food was great but the waiter emptied our drinks on my colleagues (by accident). This was cleared up and when he returned with the replacements he slipped on the wet floor and crashed into the back wall. We saw the funny side but I was dissapointed that they didn't refund the cost of the drinks so only 4 stars
M. S.
Excellent fun, excellent food and excellent teacher. If you like Sushi, this is an absolute must!
T.
Absolutely brilliant sushi making class! was great, she really showed us how we could do it all at home, was such great fun.
R. N.
I invited my boyfriend and we loved it: loads of different sushi made and Makiko was a great teacher, highly recommend.
K. U.
Great experience. I went for a sushi making class and it was one of the best food experiences I've had in a long time. Highly recommended.
j.
Came here for a sushi making course and it was so much fun. Makiko was an excellent teacher and made the class very enjoyable.
J. T.
Popped in while on a work trip, restaurant had a few tables on the go bit service was quick and friendly. Chicken gyoza and salmon udon was delicious and promptly served. Definitely recommend
D. K.
I absolutely love sushi and since I live nearby, this is one of my favourite local restaurants and it's not a problem if you show up without a reservation, the staff will seat you right away, if it's not busy of course. Really glad I found this place.
N. P.
It's a shame that I'm giving three stars but the service was very slow. This is a 5 minute walk from my work place and unfortunately I cannot make it my regular. We booked a table for three people at 1:00pm and when we arrived there was only 1 staff member working the floor - it took over 20 minutes for her to take our order (by then another staff member had started her shift). It's such a shame the service is slow and not that friendly as the food is incredible but it just isn't suitable for lunch time service. So make sure you don't have a time limit when dining or it becomes quite stressful.
Y. O.
Great Japanese food. Large portions, fresh sushi and the cheapest gyoza (potstickers) I have had in London. Delicious, will go back!

I am a sushi snob. Sorry.I trained for there years at a sushi restaurant with a master. That being said, the food here is good. The only issue was the.dll was sloppy and came undone. Friendly service, added with a great turn around made it good. To.truly rate it I will need to try its using and ponzu.

Had the Katsu Udon, great choice and the portions are generous (wasn't able to finish the bowl). The place was full around lunchtime.

Loved it! We bought this as a gift for our friends 30th, it was a very enjoyable evening. Great food with vegan options. Went home full, and with extras for lunch! Thank you!

Attended a fantastic sushi making class. Makiko is an experienced and funny teacher. Great value!
D. S.
I went here just to grab some take away for lunch. The Sushi is ok there wasn't a very large selection of take away boxes at the time I went. It was quite expensive as well. My Miso soup cost £2!

Wonderful for a quick bite, perfect moist Gyoza and Tempura. Good selection of Japanese beers and friendly chef and staff. Lovely neighbourhood spot for Japanese food.

Food is good, decor etc quite basic, but reasonably priced. Only issue is the banging dubstep / techno music that isn't really suited to having a meal, for me anyways.

Nice place and I know it was busy, but I found one of the staff rude! The place is small and cramped despite having a basement they didn't open it even at their busiest period. I think the owners need to re-think their service and need to re-train their staff!
W. T.
Good food & good service!.. even a spot outside to enjoy the afternoon sunshine with a beer.
