I had the very good fortune to book City Removals to move me from Nottinghamshire to North East Yorkshire. I asked for a full packing service too and from start to finish the service was superb! Great care was taken and attention to detail throughout. The guys worked extremely hard and were very friendly and polite the whole time. Thank you so very much for taking the stress out of my move. Hegis and the crew are a very professional removal company. The initial price quoted was for if everything ran smoothly but we were given an hourly rate for if things overran. Given that we had a lot of garden stuff to move with us then we knew it would. But even taking into consideration the additional costs involved it was still a much lower price than the other quotes we received.

I have just had a complicated removal completed extremely professionally by City Removals East Midlands. Removals can be very stressful, and I have no hesitation recommending this company for anybody looking to make a move. All communications prior to the move were promptly and comprehensively answered, and they accommodated some changes to the specification in the weeks prior to the move. On tha actual day, they arrived early, took trouble to thoroughly understand exactly what was being moved to where and took an enormous amount of care. The move involved moving two pianos, and four addresses for various pick-ups and drop-offs, starting in Nottingham, and ending up in East London, via Milton Keynes and Harpenden in Hertfordshire. The move was not without its challenges and the need to do some dismantling, and difficult manoeuvring of pianos, but they did it all professionally, and with good humour and a smile. And if that wasn't enough, they also originally quoted a price which was way more competitive than four rivals. Cannot praise them highly enough.

Fantastic service and communication from the very start. The boxes were delivered promptly, very responsive to emails and phone calls and had curtesy calls to make sure everything was as planned for the move. The move itself was stress free thanks to the removal guys who were very professional and extremely efficient. We wouldn’t use any other removals company from now on. Definitely recommend!

We didn’t get keys till 5pm & the two lovely men, having arrived at 9am, stayed till past 8pm to makes sure they’d assembled our beds.

Booked this company at fairly late notice. It was extremely good value. They looked after our furniture and and pictures. Very clean , hardworking and efficient. Would highly recommend.

The team turned up bang on time and immediately started loading the van, they took the time to load my items carefully and make sure any valuables or fragile items were strapped to the van properly. Despite having no lift to my top floor flat, the guys never complained and didn’t have any issues taking all of my furniture and boxes down to the van. They arrived at my new house and they unloaded the items into the respective rooms easily, and no items have been damaged in the move at all! Would recommend to anyone and will definitely use again if we need to move in the area, such a friendly, thorough and happy team!

I decided to go with the City Removals East Midlands as they had good reviews and gave me the lowest quote. We were moving from a 3rd floor flat to a bungalow within Nottingham. I bought some boxes from them which they promptly delivered but I underestimated the amount of stuff to be packed so I had to buy extra boxes which Egis kindly delivered the same day as I was running out of time. This helped a lot to reduce the stress of moving! On the day of moving, the team was very professional, fast and helpful. They also helped me to take some shelves down which I completely forgot about. Overall I'm very happy with the company and will use them again!

Hi, Used these guys to move out of my old house yesterday and move into the new house today. Bruce and Egis were absolutely brilliant. They moved everything very carefully and packed the van well, without damaging a single item. On arrival at the new house, they moved everything into the right rooms. Excellent movers, barely had to move a muscle as they carried all heavy items & furniture quickly and efficiently with no damage at all to anything. Also disassembled & reassembled our double bed. Great price and great at their job - will be using again for any future moves.

The weather wasn’t great but they came equipped with mattress covers and things to secure everything into the van, so it ended up being a very quick and easy process. Very efficient move all done within 4 hours. Even did some extra bits helping is get our coat rack off the wall as the screws were bare and plugging in our dishwasher (not straightforward at all) and the washing machine. Excellent service highly recommended. Wore masks and gloves throughout due to covid19 which was much appreciated.

Great company, very professional. Arranged a home visit to check how many trips/how big a van was needed. Arrived on time and put down protective mats as it was raining. We were loaded, at the new house and unloaded within 5 hours!

Brilliant admin: simple to book and confirmation reminder a couple of days before moving day. Van arrived promptly. It was only a short distance move but we were not as well prepared as we’d intended. The men were very patient and polite. They filled the van quickly and efficiently. Took great care with everything and even used their own covers for mattresses. Were able to put things in place with minimal instructions. Excellent value for money. Would definitely use them again.
