Staff very helpful - offered useful advice, explained the charges, and explained clearly how self-storage and this particular facility worked, as we hadn't used self-storage before. Opening hours might potentially be restrictive, but staff were very accommodating when we arrived for the first time to store a large quantity of stuff.

Looking for storage this late after the academic session is over is already hard enough but when I found Safestore everything was smooth sailing. From my initial call with Stephanie and all the information and advice provided, up until moving in my boxes with the help of Brendan and Jack. This was my best experience yet. Was in dire need of help due to storage situation in Nottingham being scarce as all students we’re heading home and luckily called into the Nottingham Safestore where I was assisted by lovely members of staff (Brandon and Jack). What a lovely experience, they helped provide time slots for me to move my stuff in and even helped in the moving of my items. The processing was quick but effective and I did not have to wait for ages. They went out of their way to ensure that all my items would fit in the best way and even suggested ideas that helped all of my items fit, definitely will be coming back next year and I will be recommending the Nottingham Safestore to university students in Nottingham. The storage facility was good enough, but the price rose and rose over the two years I used it. 25% over 2 years is far too steep a rise. Also I want at all impressed, by the way other users, threw their litter into mine and other units. Edit: I forgot to add, in all my contacts, the staff were superb. I absolutely cannot fault them in any interaction. They were polite, and efficient.

When we arrived at Safestore Nottingham, Google Maps had taken us to the Brook Street entrance. This is the loading bay, and there was no one there to let us in. We tried calling several times and waited for over 10 minutes. Eventually we decided to drive around the block, to the Bath Street entrance where we saw a reception area. Phew. From that point on, it was pretty seamless to start a new contract and get a locker close to the front loading bay. The staff were all super friendly. The introduction rates had a discount so they were very reasonable.

The manager has gone above and beyond to help us and has always been friendly and kind. There have been a couple of technical difficulties during the year we've been customers but this has always been resolved quickly. The location is perfect, though it would benefit from more parking spaces. The 24hr entry has been very useful and we have always felt safe visiting during the pandemic.

The call centre of SAFESTORAGE did an absolute rubbish job ! As in I was so disappointed to hear that they told me they reserved my space ready for me to move my stuff in, but they didn’t and instead threw me unto a waiting list for the Nottingham store which was completely filled up ! Thank you a big thank you to the guy at the Nottingham store who created a space for me to keep my stuff even tho it was so full, he did an amazing job. A big applaud to him because I would have had to go back all the way to london with my university stuff. So a 5 star to the Nottingham branch but 0! To the call centre !

I looked up lots of storage companies in Nottingham online. Alligator offered the cheapest price. When I called, the staff were really helpful and friendly. They returned calls and responded to any of my inquiries really fast. I was impressed. They also recommended vans for hire to move my stuff. The service was punctual and a lot better deal than what some of my friends are using. When my friend and I went to put our stuff in the storage, we just had to sit at reception and do paperwork. We did not have to bother with carrying stuff into a storage room. The staff that dealt with our paperwork also explained every detail we should know about and it was quick as well. I would recommend Alligator to friends and would use their service in the future.

Really friendly staff! Easy move in and constantly trying to help you with whatever you need! Special mention to Steph! She really went above and beyond when helping me move in. I’m terribly afraid of spiders and bugs and she helped to clean out my unit two days in a row, she even accompanied me until I felt comfortable on my own( I know it’s very silly but I genuinely cannot deal with spiders AT ALL) so I felt at ease and she really didn’t have too any of that but she did. Absolutely no problems and would definitely use them again. I got a 30sqft space for my uni belongings space was just what I needed. Thanks again to Steph!!!

Very prompt service right from when i applied online - they were the first of four companies to call me and ask what time of storage i wanted, even before Big Yellow Self Storage, who i thought would be the best. After allowing me to "hold" my space for a day, they told me to call them back the following afternoon to confirm - i didn't even have to call as they called me. Great service, glad i chose them. Also, reasonable price and by far the cheapest i found. Thanks!

Had a lot of stuff in storage here for a house move. Very secure but easy access using your individual gate code to get in. Anonymous storage lockers (available in many different sizes) which you lock with your own padlock so even the staff don't get access to your locker. Nice new lift big enough for a trolley to get you to your floor. Even the lift is protected by your gate code. Really nice, helpful staff. The prices were really competitive too, although I think the industry as a whole charges a bit too much for these services. Recommended.

The people at Alligator are very helpful, I came into the reception office and was instantly tended to. Although there are pictures available I was able to actually go up and view the storage spaces. Having made my booking online I was still able to change my original dates set. The pricing especially for students is awesome compared to other places in Nottingham I have checked. Brilliant team. The main guy (who's name eludes me) remembered my name when I called in three weeks after paying my deposit to let them know when I was moving in. Very helpful (especially after I put my back out lifting a table on my own - it's getting better slowly thank you), good prices AND they let me park my rental van in the secure yard overnight when I ran out of day during the move from Birmingham. They definitely go that little bit further - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Firstly, the staff were great here. Steph is really friendly and livened up what is otherwise a horrible and boring activity of putting stuff into storage and Syed is v helpful. The facilities are clean and bright, and I saw staff walking round as I was there so I felt safe. There were always enough trolleys - and of a variety of shapes and sizes. There was always space at the loading areas to pull a van/car up. The staff coped well too when the lift broke down part way through moving my stuff in - it was fixed the next day - and these things do happen - but it's how people deal with them that makes a difference. Syed let me have a temporary unit where I didn't have to carry things up/downstairs so that despite the lift issue I could unload the rest of my stuff quickly and still return the hire van on time AND Steph kept me informed (3 phone calls) about when and whether the lift had been fixed so I could plan getting all my stuff into my proper unit. The only reason they've lost a star is because the lift is quite small - it doesn't fit 'normal' height IKEA units (202cm?) either vertically or horizontally - I had to do a bit of a slope on them. And two lifts would be nice :-)

Fantastic Friendly staff, made me feel really comfortable and laugh, great customer service I had them walking around the building with me to find the right room. place looked well kept and clean to. considering how busy it was. nothing was too much trouble will recommend to all my friends
