Apologies the name for dished are not so correct , I can’t remember them ;( Kimchi soup -little spicy with Toufu inside Also recommend with seafood Spicy chicken 🐔- once you had it you want it again lol Beef on hot pan- marinated in sauce before frying, one of my favorite in this place Egg roll-Can’t bit a beautiful korean egg roll. Let the protein rocket go 🚀 Zhajiang noodle - one bite is enough to travel back to Korea. Bit light taste, would prefer more salt 🧂 Zhacai - vegetable fried clear noodles yummy Milkis - Korean soda drink yogurt flavor Thank you for bring proper korean food so close to us. The most delicious Korean food I've tried in foreign countries so far! Very authentic as all dishes are made from native Korean chefs. Decent portions and definitely worth the price! We have now become regular visitors as it's too good to just go there once. Strongly recommended! Remember to book a table during weekend nights as the restaurant is small and very busy!

Is it just me or do all Koreans like their soup piping hot?🙋‍♀️ After a meeting in Nottingham, I went to Sarangchae for a lunch. The interior decoration was simple and it’s like the traditional family run restaurant in Korea. Sarangchae 📍 278-280 Huntingdon St, Nottingham NG1 3NA WHAT I GOT 🍲Kimchi Jjigae with kimchi dumplings Jjigae is a Korean stew and usually served in a pot. I love seeing the Jjigae boiling hot when it’s served. So warm and satisfying 🥰 The Jjigae included kimchi, kimchi dumplings, tofu, vermicelli noodles and served with rice. Some pork belly were used to make the soup more tasty. It’s spicy, hot and fabulously piquant 😋 How about the kimchi dumplings? You can stop searching - you just found (probably) the best Korean restaurant in Nottingham. There are veggie, vegan and gf options. A HUGE range of dishes. Staff were friendly, and the food was served as soon as it was ready and you could really appreciate the freshness. The inside decor is modest, but the food, service and table wear shine through.

I went for lunch today and ordered chicken bibimbap. It was incredible, I can't wait to go again! The staff were friendly and gave great service and the servings were a very good size, definitely worth the money. Recommend if you're looking for a place to eat in Nottingham! :)

The food was pretty good and our server was friendly. However, they allowed us to book a table close to their closing time but started to rush us out, which felt a bit uncomfortable. And, not serving tap water is illegal. The reason they give is because they don't want to give out cups, but ordering a beer and canned drinks, we still got cups given to us.

Seems like a real Korean restaurant. We ordered couple of typical meals. We enjoyed the meal. The bibimbap that I ordered was a bit too dry for me. The kimbap was tasty, the photo talks by itself I believe. It seems like the place is favored by Asian people. This was a good sign for us. We hadn't had reservation, so we needed to wait half hour for a table. I would suggest you to reserve a table.

100% the kind of food I remember from my visit to Korea. Real food. Everything is fresh and homemade; you can tell because it tastes fantastic and it's filling, but you feel great after a meal here. My favourites are the BiBimBap and the Japchae. Also, try the kimchi and the savoury pancakes!

Went for my first ever time trying Korean food and it was everything I expected and more! The food was reasonably priced for the portions received and EXTREMELY tasty. They didn’t take too long to arrive and the atmosphere was so nice and relaxing. Although it’s relatively far away from where I live, it’s the closest Korean restaurant to me, so I’ll be going as often as I can! I highly recommend coming here.

First time went to traditional restaurant and straight away I have been pleased with the atmosphere that made me feel like I went to far east - Asia style :) It was really exceptional service and staff very professional. Went there with friend who lived around 2 years in Korea and she confirms it is the same taste like in Korea for the meals that we have ordered. The food was great Bulgogi (spicy style) and Kimchi :) It looked like it was not much but if filled us up really quickly :D There are lot of local people ordering here too and this means that it must be good :) I can fully recommend this place.

Went here with my wife for a meal, the staff were very attentive and friendly, which is a good thing to start with. The food was delicious and the service was very quick. I have reduced their score by 1 star for 3 reasons. 1. My wife was served the wrong dish, it was actually her 2nd choice so she didn't return it and it was very nice anyway. 2. There were no sweet options on the menu! 3. There is a 10% service charge added on if you pay by card, which isn't in place if you pay cash, which I think is a bit cheeky. All that aside it is a good place to eat and we would go back, with cash though!

The food here is incredible, hearty and authentic. The service is fine as the place is always busy. Cheap parking outside after 6pm. The only bug-bear is that the cans of drinks are very expensive but this is the only negative I can think of! Always first choice for lunch when in town.

The times I have walked by and wondering what's it like inside. So I managed to talk a friend to come along. Not sure what to have we chose the set meal for 2 and an extra portion of spring rolls The food was really nice and the spring rolls were very crispy. Not cheap with 2 beers just short of £45. But saying that really nice to get some authentic oriental cusine.

I have been a couple of times now and I have to say it is a wonderful Korean cuisine experience. The restaurant is very homely and the staff are always very warm and welcoming. Main dishes cost around the £8-10 mark - my favourite would have to be Cheese Toppokki, a spicy and filling dish made up of chewy rice sticks topped with mild Cheddar cheese (it sounds odd but is oh so delicious). Drinks can be a little bit on the expensive side with bottles of Asian drinks averaging around the £2.50 mark. There is also the option of getting some Korean rice win (Soju) but I have yet to do this myself. Obviously this doesn't really compare with genuine cuisine you'll find in Korea, but it is probably the closest you're going to get in Nottingham. Definitely worth a try if you're feeling bored of the same old Chinese and Indian takeaways.
