Efficient and accurate quotation following an in person visit to the house. We then had to rearrange dates a few times due to delays in the moving process, and ended up booking with very short notice. This was accommodated with great communication and helpful service. The lorry and crew were amazing and loaded up on time in a very organised manner. The same with unloading. Can’t thank you enough for the quick response and great service, would definitely recommend.

We used Headington Carriers for our move in July. They were absolutely exceptional in the service they provided, and I could not have been happier with the service. Chris and the rest of the team were incredibly efficient and also, very importantly, always cheerful and calm. Moving is stressful, but they took a lot of the stress out of it - it was clear they knew what they were doing and they always had a 'can do' attitude. Even when things went wrong - the lawyers completed later than we were expecting, for instance - they remained totally supportive and helpful. We had a lot to move, including difficult items such as a piano and a very large antique table, but they were very professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. I thought the rates were extremely reasonable for the very high level of service provided and I would not hesitate to use them again - they took so much of the stress out of moving!

I’d worked with Headington Carriers for workplace moves, so knew they provide an excellent service and was delighted to be able to book them for my domestic move. From my initial enquiry to Laura who was very helpful in arranging the quote visit and booking, through to Chris who I knew would take care of everything when he came to quote, right through to ensuring that everything was where I wanted it at the end of the move, Headington Carriers were brilliant. On moving day Chris, Gavin and Craig turned up in two vans that could both fit into the narrow street I was moving from, and from the start to end of the move were polite, friendly, careful and cheerful. Their team ethos, knowledge and professional was fabulous: they worked so well together, used initiative in knowing where to place the furniture and boxes, and consulted me when needed for specifics. Nothing was too much trouble, and they even took an additional item that I hadn't originally needed to be moved, and removed from the packed van an item that wasn’t for the move but that I hadn’t labelled. Moving day is supposed to be the most stressful day of the house buying/ selling process, but Chris, Gavin and Craig made it the easiest day for me. I highly recommend Headington Carriers and would definitely use them again. They made everything much more straightforward and stress-free than I could have hoped for. Excellent service given. The removal team arrived early, 7.30 having promised by 8.00, and early arrival welcomed as we were ready for them. The loading of our furniture into the van was quick and easy. They had given us a generous supply of boxes of 3 different sizes well in advance so that we had been able to do a lot of packing in preparation. They had to struggle to get a double bed downstairs but coped well with it. On arrival at the delivery end the unloading was again quick and efficient. There was no damage or breakage of any sort. I should be happy to use Headington Carriers again and should recommend them to anyone.

We used Headington Carriers to move our small office to a neighbouring unit. We had booked this very much at the last minute and the office staff were very accommodating. The two guys that helped us move couldn't have been more user friendly and for the whole duration were keen to ensure our furniture was where it needed to be. They had to dismantle and re-build 8 office desks and move quite a few bookcases, files, a heavy printer etc. They did it with humour and patience and we were really impressed. Would definitely use them again.

Headington Carriers gave us a very competitive quote for our house move and were able to fit us in with only a weeks notice. We used their packing service which really took the stress out of moving! Everything was efficiently and carefully packed and there were no breakages. On moving day the team were excellent - we really can't fault them. After we'd unpacked we called them to come and collect the boxes and they arrived an hour later. Fantastic, would highly recommend.

Excellent service at a good price! I had to organise a house move at short notice: headington carriers provided me with service after another, larger firm were unable to accommodate a quick move. I fell ill on the day of the move and the guys took care of virtually everything: didn't even have to tell them what to do! Really professional service provided at a time of need. What a Godsend. From quotation to collecting the boxes, Headington Carriers provide an excellent professional service throughout. The team were polite, respectful and courteous, and always on time. We had the full packing service and nothing was broken and utmost care was taken not to damage walls and paintwork as the move was taking place. The team worked well together. The move and packing service took place over three days and we had two large vans. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the guys. It was a big move with lots of heavy garden furniture, ornaments, plants and large pots, office equipment and standard household furniture. At one point we had 5 people working on loading the van and it worked seamlessly. On arrival at our new house, boxes were delivered to the right rooms and furniture placed where we wanted it. They were very keen to get the furniture in the right place so that we did not have to move it when they left. I would not hesitate to recommend this removal company.

Headington Carriers did a very good job when I moved house a month ago - they were very cheerful and helpful, and nothing was broken. I didn't feel horribly rushed, which has happened on previous moving days. And they have come back 3 times to collect empty boxes as I gradually unpacked them - a really big plus for me. My only reservation is that I asked several times if boxes could be labelled fairly specifically as some things were going to have to stay packed up for several months, and that didn't happen - I ended up having to unpack and then repack quite a few boxes as things were all mixed up and not labelled - but otherwise I was delighted with their service.

Apart from a missed survey appointment the communication in advance of the removal was very good, although the office didn't seem to have all the standard information about the domestic removal process, like if protection for a flat screen TV would be on board, and had to ask someone else to clarify. I was disappointed to be asked for full payment in advance of the removal. On the day the branded truck arrived, but no one introduced themselves so for the entire day I didn't know their names or who was in charge of the removal team. The team weren't terribly careful, there were some mud trails on bedroom carpets which I would forgive as they do have to go in and out a lot and cant be expected to remove shoes each time, the centre fell out of the garden table and was damaged because they didn't check if it was loose before they turned it on its side, several door frames were damaged and a big chunk was taken off the corner of an oak framed mirror. At the other end more care was taken with flooring and they put protection down, but at the end of the day I was asked to sign to say everything was delivered and in good condition, there was no way I could check everything at that point so I just signed it. My overall impression was that Headington Carriers is more suited to commercial work, I think they lack the finesse for domestic removals and I am surprised by their 100% BAR feedback rating, I wouldn't use them again.

Let me start by saying that I hand out 5 star reviews with the frequency that Craig Revel-Horwood hands out 10's! So, 4 is GOOD. First off, much the best quote we got. Pretty much nothing happened the way I had been told it would, but ultimately the job got done on time and with almost no breakages. Everyone has been friendly. During the packing process, the guys moved so fast, that one had to be careful about putting anything down, or it would likely be packed up! I was very surprised to see how well their system of what sometimes seems like all sorts being randomly mixed together in a box, works. As I say, there have been nearly no breakages, where many of our possessions could easily be broken! When unloading, the cavalry were called in to get us over the line, when I for one was exhausted. And everything was moved in with barely a scratch on the wall, which was extremely impressive; and at that stage, I felt some of what was going on, worthy of 10 stars. From this experience, would we use this co. again, and would we recommend them? Yes and Yes. Thank you, Kris & Cris.

Positives: Very competitive price compared to other quotes for a long distance move. Friendly and professional surveyor on home visit for quote. Arrived on time and successfully transferred our belongings between properties over a long distance/multiple day move. Movers willing to help with moving furniture already in new property on arrival. Negatives: Didn't use mattress covers, despite this being discussed at survey. As a result, one mattress got very wet in transit, though we were able to dry it without lasting damage. Movers didn't mention the mattress damage until I noticed it, and also didn't tell us that they'd knocked a drink over in one room, spilling tea on my baby's toys and mattress. The spillage was not our concern - accidents happen - but to not own up was dishonest, unprofessional, and unhelpful (we had to dry the mattress hurriedly before bedtime when discovered). They were going to give up trying to get our bed divan up the stairs after trying one angle, and only persisted when we suggested other approaches (it did fit in the end).
