Had my novice 5 day FLT course booked in with Altta. My instructor was Kyle Walker, what a lovely lad. Full of knowledge, the level of training provided by him was at a very high professional level. Seemed to answer all the questions and concerns I had and with great explanation too. Even went beyond to teach us some tips and tricks which he had hidden up his sleeves. What a great place to learn and the facilities were good too. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Just completed the RTITB Instructors course with the help of experienced instructors Steve and Richie. Cannot praise them and Altta Group enough. Made to feel welcome from day one, everyone there friendly approachable and really helpful. Steve's experience and knowledge is key to getting the best out of you and Richie with his experience just made it impossible to fail. A tough ten day course flew by. You put the effort in because you know they are doing there best for you and want you to succeed. Cannot praise them enough. Hi everyone, I just wanted to post this review for Altta and also clear up a negative review below by Ian Ward as I was on the same course as him in October this year. Firstly Altta are the most professional firm I have had the pleasure of training with, Colin ,Ritchie, Steve, jules, Shelley and Kyle are great at what they do. The Rtitb instructor course itself eye opening, being an experienced operator myself but largely behind a desk for a few years , they really helped me. If you are planning to be an instructor or thinking about it, please use Altta you will not regret it. @ ian Ward - you were with 5 others on this course, as an instructor of 15 years as you told us all your driving was shocking, infact you were given 3 opportunities to pass the driving part and you failed them all. You also ignored advice from myself and others that tried to help you. The Instructors @ altta were patient with you and only stopped you as you were dangerous when you continually hit the racking and chicane. For all readers I was part of a team marking Ian's first test and he failed before he attempted his 2nd lift. Any queries please email me - don't be fooled by ian's negative and wrong review. My FLT course was funded through the Jobcentre. My Instructor was Scott Harris, a very very good instructor, if we forgot anything or didnt do something in the correct order he would give us friendly and helpful advice instead of telling us off. Good instructor (Scott) . Very patient , calm and articulate . The building itself is a bit dated but theres a nice kitchen area with free tea and coffee . Plenty of parking outside and good equipment to train on . Would highly recommend .😃

I got my course funded through the JobCentre. I actually enjoyed the course as well as being trained up to drive/operate a Forklift Truck. I had Sean Cooke as an instructor, he was firm but had made it fun and enjoyably to do the course. Obviously I passed, but I was very nervous on the first day (as to be expected) but by the end of the week I was very confident and knew my way around a Forklift and the correct way to operate it. I just want to thank Sean Cooke (Altta Peterborough) personally and thank the Altta team and also Portland Training for putting me forward and funding the course. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And I would highly recommend all of the above. I attended a 3 day ISOH Health & Safety course at Altta Group in December. This was the first time I had used them for training, but it certainly will not be the last. Booking the course was straightforward, I was supplied with the information and dates I needed very quickly. The facility was located well for me, being close to the A1, and was easy to find. Once there, staff were professional, friendly and polite, and the kitchen and canteen available was most welcome. The course itself was handled very well by Steve, it was informative and well presented, and thankfully I passed the exam and assessment. I hope to work with Altta again soon, and have in fact already recommended them to a work colleague.

I recently attended a forklift course and we had an instructor called Sean I’m afraid to say he was not very good the instructor was constantly talking about himself and spent more time on the forklift than myself as a trainee. His instructions where confusing and not clear we had a none speaking trainee and no allowances where given for that he was using phrases like leave your left foot at home tomorrow meaning brake and accelerate with the right foot the non English speaker had no clue. However day four and five we had a different instructor Richie and he saved your company reputation he gave clear and perfect instructions loads of advice and knowledge shared he was able to communicate with the non speaking English trainee. I honestly believe that had Richie not instructed us on the last two days we would have failed the practical part. Richie is a credit to your company and an excellent instructor thank you Richie for making it an enjoyable experience. You deserve a pay rise.

I had my Reach Forklift Training last week and was very happy and satisfied. The place was clean, tidy and staff followed social distancing. The instructor Kurt was a star who was patient, calm and dedicated with student. Considering that I've not used driven forklift for almost 15 years, Kurt's approach to training was super duper with emphasis on good communication. I will definitely be doing my counter-balance refresher with Altta Group in future.

I attended the two day mental health first aider course and found Colin Frost to be quite the best trainer I have come across. Thought provoking, used examples from his own experience to illustrate, very inclusive and very very good at making people feel comfortable with a subject that can be emotive and difficult. I then attended the three day first aid at work course and came away comfortable with all aspects of the training. Colin is exemplary at allowing queries to be raised without ever making you feel that you are rushed, fosters an easy atmosphere that engenders learning and puts everyone at ease. The most inclusive trainer I have dealt with.

I took my forklift truck licence here at altta training. My instructor was Richie Sturrock. He made the course not only thoroughly enjoyable but very informative. The way in which he offers the course gives you everything you need to know and learn in an easy manor. Even though there is a test involved, Richie is very good at putting you at ease. All in all I would highly recommend this Centre for training for a FLT and Counterbalance licence with Richie as an instructor. This was a 5* service and I am happy that this is the training centre I trained at. Although I only took the one side of this licence, it is evident from being at the centre that they have a lot more to offer. If you are thinking of taking a licence, it may be worth checking at altta training first.

Was sent to complete my novice counter balance training by my employer here. An ideal location with plenty of parking, good access to the bus route, also near by shops and burger vans if required. Although there was no bike parking on the first day when I did bike they very kindly let me store it inside without me even needing to ask permission. There is alot going on with people competing courses at different levels. It was great at your break being able to socialise and to get tips and tricks of the trade from experienced operators. The covid policies in place were very well maintained considering easing of restrictions and although it doesn't partically bother me I appreciated the precautions they took to keep everyone on site safe and provide peace of mind. On my course we were split into two groups but was essentially 1 group that had 2 instructors to guide you. They were both top guys and able to effortlessly answer anything you threw at them! They were a pleasure to get to know. There was also a number of other trainers (who you could clearly tell were very experianced) they would all give you the time of day and have a laugh imparticularly Michael Caine (John) who ended up completing our examination. All the equipment is new, modern and kept in great condition! All in all it was a fantastic week and have learnt alot, would recommend to anyone and will definitely be pushing my employer to use again for refresher training on other staff members. Only regret was on my last day I couldn't scan that QR code because my phone was dead lol! Thanks ALTTA it was a blast, all the best for the future!

I’ve taken the 3 day first aid at work course, it was taken by Colin. The course was well planned and explained well for our multi nationality group which shows how good the instructors at planning the course and making sure everyone has the same understanding of the individual modules of the first aid at work course. The building was COVID compliant, clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend ALTTA for any of their courses.

The forklift instructors were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and have made me feel confident in my truck driving skills. Myself and my wife have carried out paediatric first aid training at ALTTA's Peterborough academy. Again the staff were friendly and knowlegable and the training centre was clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone wishing to undertake a training course. Highly recommended!
