The service we received from Andy of The Original Gentle Man With a Van Ltd was the gold standard of customer service. On first contact with Andy over the phone he was polite, communicative and gave all the details of his service. He directed us to use his website to enter in our requirements for our move. From there he offered a reassuring level of expertise prior to the move date to ensure we were ready for our move. The details of the booking was clear and gave loads of information on best packing practices which was super helpful. Particularly during the current pandemic, on arrival and throughout Andy adhered to social distancing and proper protocols to ensure we all were safe moving our items. Moving with Andy was an absolute pleasure, even when we faced road closures at the end of our journey meaning we had to drive on country roads to get to our home. Despite this, he was bright and cheerful, diligent and professional to the end. I don’t think we could have found a better company to manage our removal. We will definitely book The Original Gentle Man With A Van Ltd again should we move in future. They say moving is one of the most stressful things in life, well that’s just not true if you book Andy and his team.

Andy was excellent right from the first contact, he talked me through what was required and also rang me the day before to check all was OK and let me know the plan. He and Elliott arrived on time and decided their plan of action before getting everything loaded up. They were friendly and professional and got us unloaded into the new house seamlessly. A really horrible job having to move furniture from a 2 bed flat 2nd floor on the barbican, with limited parking and challenging access. Andy has helped me out on two occasions both at short notice. It was early last year March / April 2019. The first time, was early on a Monday morning, when I needed a bed picked up from a first floor flat in Southway and delivered to my house. Andy kindly dismantled it too. He was so kind and polite and his gentle manner is something I will always remember. The second time was a few weeks later, on a Saturday afternoon, when we were emptying my daughters flat. We realised that we would need to remove a large corner sofa and a wardrobe which had not been sold along with all the other large items. I rang Andy and left a message - he rang back not long after and kindly agreed to help us which was such a relief! I believe he took the sofa to a charity and the wardrobe to the tip. In my opinion, he really did go above and beyond to help us out and nothing was too much trouble for him. I am so pleased that his business has gone from strength to strength and would never use anyone else if / when I need a removals service in the future.
